I like to use nitrile gloves, pouring paint from the jars into the tubes. Because it gets very messy. And with that I don’t want to have a bunch of paint on my hands. However, with my painting technique, I’m always dabbing fingers, so I don’t know how toxic it is to get a little bit of paint on your hand if you’re not ingesting it. Also, I don’t use toxic pigments like cadmium. But with almost everything in the modern world there is a risk so people should do their own research and take actions in accordance with the conclusions they draw.
