- A round 1 match from the lower bracket between myself and Spice Merchant from the Summer Championship 2024 in Fall of the Samurai (Shogun 2).
The match is a Best of 5.
The tournament host is TsR Atlantis.
That second battle was a beauty, well done. In my mind artillery were unbeatable, I learnt a lot watching that
Thanks. The artillery got a good number of high value kills, but it forced him to be very defensive which is not something he is used to.
More FOTS! I love this stuff and wish there was far, far more of it!
I play campaign on Legendary all the time and almost never get to see all these mid and high tier units working together, such a blast
Yeah in campaigns you only really get these elite units once the outcome of the campaign is pretty much decided, which is unfortunate because otherwise I quite like the campaigns in Shogun.
There will definitely be more FOTS very soon, at least my own next Best of 7 match against VeniVidiVici but also other replays from the tournament if I think the battles are worth casting.
It's painful to watch how Spice threw game after game by just suiciding his gen. GGs anyway. And spear levy with rank 2 with speed upgrades lol, should have given them morale and attack and even then they would not be cost efficient.
Yeah he uses his gen like a light cav unit sometimes. I keep telling him it's too dangerous but he just doesn't change his style. With a bit of luck, the hyper-aggression can sometimes work though, as in Game 1 here.
