Got to meet Maurice Richard at an old timers game in February 1991 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was soft spoken and super polite. He told me to stand beside him so I could have my picture taken with him/took picture with his brother Henri at the same game.

Love the story, it's great hearing a living legend talk about a legend. I heard a story once about Richard's intensity, a teammate scored a winning goal and The Rocket embraced him so hard that he broke his nose.

I met Rocket Richard in 1961 or 62 in Gananoque Ontario when he was guest referee for an exhibition game. He struck me a really humble and very polite. One of my fondest memories as a player. Tom Carty
