I just discovered your RUclips channel via Pinterest. I’ve been contemplating “slow stitching” and I love your idea. Now to gather some scraps and buttons. Thank you so much for sharing your idea!

Hi Nadine, I use wadding to stitch onto. You can also use flannel or denim or wool. As long as it's stable and easy to stitch through. You can try different things and see what you like best. Let me know if you need more help. Happy stitching ❤
Hi, I am new and I'm keen to start on my very first piece of embroidery going round in circles. Is there any other fabric that you would recommend to use as the base instead of using felt?
I use a #5 embroidery needle or a #24 chenille needle. You need a needle that fits your thread (thicker thread - bigger needle) but can stitch through your fabric (tighter weave - smaller needle). The best way is to try different options and see what works for you. Make sure you use a sharp new needle and change to a new one regularly. That's a lot easier on your hands and wrists.
Ciao come stai? Buon anno nuovo!
Buon 2024!
Love this stitching. Thank you for sharing. I’m hooked, can’t stop stitching these squares
A lovely project for the New Year, thank you for your video, so easy to sew and just the job for using up my stash of P&Q cotton fabrics

Ordering cotton and will give it a try. Need some small handwork. Great for mini wall handing.
Hope you enjoy it!
Lovely idea. Will definitely try this as a mindfulness exercise. Is it a 4x4 inch felt piece?
My blocks are all 4x4 inches. I use batting as a base but felt will work too ❤
Hello Herma, j'aimerais essayer mais je me demande quel tissu vous utilisez en dessous pour le fond? Du coton ou de la ouate? Merci pour votre réponse

I use batting/wadding but you can use flannel or denim as well. As long as it’s a firm base to stitch on ❤

What type of thread are you using.
I use an 8wt perle cotton called Eleganza by WonderFil.
What type or needle type do you use?
