i think he would be. you wouldnt really expect hosea, john, sadie, and charles to customize their weapons but they do, very simple but still there. i think arthur would do the same. i think he did have some custom weapons but he lost them after blackwater. my desgin is: 2x schofield revolver (before guarma) - ironwood grip and birch varnish - long barrel, improved rifling and improved sites - blackended steel (all) and black baroque engravings 1x default cattleman 1x default sawed off (post guarma as he lost his weapons when the ship sunk) lancaster repeater, double barreled shotgun and bolt action rifle are my longarms and are exactly the same as my sidearms, however I use a hazelnut leather wrap which matches with the birch varnish and wide grain stock. i dont add a scope to my repeater, however i do add a medium scope to my bolt action rifle. i use high velocity ammo because i mainly use dead eye and the damage bonus from express doesnt matter if your getting headshots / lethal shots
@@notaulgoodman9732 i always use the best saddle and stirrup, but the saddle, blanket, saddle bags, blanket are all dark brown. i dont try to get the trapper saddles till john.
I think it would’ve been cool for rockstar to give Arthur a unique revolver I also think that this design is good because the dark contrasting the light symbolizes how there’s a good and bad side to every story
I've always liked simpler designs like this for Arthur. It would make sense for him to have a pinto pistol as well, since you could see him just swapping out busted or worn parts with pieces from other guns.
I always customize my guns with an ebony and blackened/blued steel variation in my off-hand holster, and a pearl with silver or gold variation in the main holster

I personally replaced the cattleman with two schoefields as soon as I can. I do full blued-steel, art neavu style gold inlay, and an ebony grip with the buck carving. Ever since I did it for my first playthrough, I always remake it on subsequent ones

When Guarma is over, I change my revolvers. My primary is a cattleman with iron finish and a basic myrtle grip. After the tb diagnosis, I add the buck carving. For my secondary, I just base it off of Lenny's revolver.
Taking into account that the actors themselves are the ones who give personality to the characters, I would say no, since Roger Clark has said that if he had to choose a weapon in real life it would be the cattleman due to its short barrel, which would facilitate the quick draws, so for me his canon revolver has a short barrel
For any of arthurs guns i give them golden triggers to symbolize that thats the most important part of the weapon, the importance that decides if you live or die, its also bringing more of a price on his head than the little golden trigger is worth

in my first playthrough there was aglitch were upon my first gaining of honor i got both special grips for cattlemen and double action revolver. once i was able to carry both around after the strawberry mission i called them the right hand of justice(cattlemen, gold with white parts, hero pearlgrip) and the left hand of Death(double action, mostly black with some iron, skullgrip).
Personally I think his cattleman was just the rdr1 cattleman (mahogany, ironwood finish, browned steel metal all over), in fact I think his entire weapon set was just rdr1 guns
Full Nikel plated with a hero pearl grip, black hammer, trigger and sights is usually my go to and i reverse the colour on my off hand so full black with high honour pearl
@@liamkisbee8117 That's pretty cool! Personally I never use the Hero Pearl grip because when I buy it, it causes a texture glitch on the pearl and ebony grips, turning them brown.

Cool revolver when i made mine i got two schofields made one with a silver barrel frame and cylinder with a golden trigger hammer sights and art deco engravings and a mahogany varnish i made the other one the same but with the silver components replaced with blackened steel it was only after leaving the store i realised i made revolver versions of dantes ivory and ebony from devil may cry
@@NinjaRG9 I just thought that it would look something similar to Sean's or Kieran's revolvers. So I mixed those two designs to make something that isn't too boring but also not too flashy. It's also based on the one I have irl which is a Uberti Cattleman. I have a few other designs in mind for what it would have looked like too, but this is the one I settled on. I also think the metals contrast between the high and low honor.
I like the design, feels inline with Arthur’s personality. Nothing flashy but still with a bit of depth. Personally I always go with High Honor so I make the Cattleman have the hero grip and use gold and silver for the rest while doing the inverse for the offhand, and I use blackened steel for the engravings
My main pistol for arthur is a plain blue or black steel schofield, dark walnut grip. Off hand, plain silver schofield, white grip, i don’t remember the name unfortunately. Dont think its the pearl. Haha.
Honestly in my opinion the way my gun looks depends on what playthrough I want to do if I want to do a high honor play through I always go for the Pearl grip and a lot of bright colors and engravings and the golden inlay metal low honor though I just get everything blackened steel and the ebony grip but still have golden inlay metal on my engravings
@@brodieblevins1 That's the main reason I steer clear of the low honor ending. High honor makes more sense anyway. Roger Clark even said that the Canon ending is high honor helping John.

For my longarms, I use a Lancaster which looks like John's, I use a bolt action rifle with a scope all black metal with mahogany varnish, and a pump shotgun made to look like the one from Resident Evil Village. My secondary is based off of Lenny's with all black steel and ebony grip to honor him. I also recently changed the secondary I use from Chapter 2 to Chapter 4. It's a cattleman with a nickel finish and maple ironwood grips and it's based off of Rooster Cogburn's revolver from "True Grit".
@@Arthur_Deadeye_Morgan i switch my lancaster to be like johns and i design a repeating shtogun to be like the lancasters design for john. for john i use his default cattleman and a sawed off shotgun which i try to design to be like johns cattleman. i try to keep arthurs weapons intact, so i keep the bolt action rifle, 1 of my cattleman revolvers, 1 of my sawed off, both schofields and the double barreled shtogun unchanged.
@@big-fatty1 I keep my repeater the same as John. As John, I use his default revolver as my primary and I use the primary revolver from Chapter 6 as my secondary. During American Venom, I switch it up and use that as my primary to kill Micah with and I use John's cattleman as my secondary.

@@McChonkington Double action doesn't have good range, accuracy, or damage and the Schofield wasn't a good quickdraw weapon. That's why I use a cattleman.
I always use a Schofield as my secondary side arm for my primary I use either the double action with the ebony gunslinger grip and mainly blackened and blue steel to give it more of an evil look if I’m low honor Arthur, if I’m high honor, I use the cattlemen with the hero pearl grip with nickel and gold to give it an angelic look
@@Anonymous-n2n I sometimes use a Schofield as my secondary. I almost always use the cattleman revolver for both primary and offhand. I usually change them after coming home from Guarma. When I change them, I use cattleman revolvers. The primary I use is all iron with myrtle grip and a deer carving (because I'm a high honor player and get the deer dreams) and for the secondary I design it like Lenny's revolver in memory of him.
@@Gingersnap_Adventures Not necessarily. His has blue steel and nickel frame. He also uses a basic grip whereas mine is an ironwood grip. The varnish on his appears to be wild cherry and mine is mesquite. Just subtle differences. I may make a tutorial on how to make Sean's revolver so stay tuned, partner.

I know it’s ironic given how the player behaves in gameplay, but I don’t think Arthur is the type of guy to customize his weapons. Would he take someone’s gun that’s already customized? Yeah, but he won’t go out of his way to customize his guns. Spending pointless money on things that don’t matter. He for sure would get at the very least better sights and the barrel rifling. Not sure about the longer barrel though since it would affect his quickdraw.

@@Tylerjamar-reborn8447 I designed the primary gun this way for a few reasons. First reason is I like the way Sean and Kierans revolvers looked so I kind of mashed the two designs together. Second, I think that the dark and light steel contrasting together is symbolic of high and low honor. Third, my grandpa had a gun that looked just like this. I'd love to know how you made yours.
Arthur definitely wouldn’t customize his weapon, I feel like he’d just have a simple cattleman or Schofield with maybe a personalized grip but nothing more
In my headcanon, the Volcanic Pistol is "Arthur's gun", for me looked perfect with him, matched his character well, a customized full brass, and a dark wood grip. Also it made sense for me, bcs in my playthrough, I tried to make Arthur's and John's tastes different as possible. Ex: My Arthur drinks whisky, and my John drinks beer. So, for me it made sense it work this way: Arthur prefers pistols, John prefers revolvers
@@greenwarrior511 Personally, I hate the volcanic. The reason why I love the cattleman is because you can fan the hammer. Roger Clark even pointed out that he prefers the cattleman over anything else. Plus I think that he would be trying to cling on to the old days as much as possible with older weapons, but each to their own, my friend. If I had to use a pistol instead of a revolver, I'd use a mauser.

And looking at the buck and coyote scenes, it appears gold is the “good” colour. But Rockstar says he’s “no nonsense” and he’s always thinking about money, so I doubt he’d pay for cosmetics at all

I think he’d have a long barrelled cattleman, for an enforcer he’d want maximum efficiency.

keep in mind the revolver's a sidearm. Arthur most likely uses a rifle for that sort of thing.

For Athur's revolver I always do brass for the frame, and blackened steel for everything else. For the grip, I do default with maple varnish

@@McChonkington Double action doesn't have good range, accuracy, or damage and the Schofield wasn't a good quickdraw weapon. That's why I use a cattleman.

I always use a Schofield as my secondary side arm for my primary I use either the double action with the ebony gunslinger grip and mainly blackened and blue steel to give it more of an evil look if I’m low honor Arthur, if I’m high honor, I use the cattlemen with the hero pearl grip with nickel and gold to give it an angelic look
@@Anonymous-n2n I sometimes use a Schofield as my secondary. I almost always use the cattleman revolver for both primary and offhand. I usually change them after coming home from Guarma. When I change them, I use cattleman revolvers. The primary I use is all iron with myrtle grip and a deer carving (because I'm a high honor player and get the deer dreams) and for the secondary I design it like Lenny's revolver in memory of him.

Usually in the revolver sphere a gun with this mix of white and blued steel is called a "pinto."

@@Gingersnap_Adventures Not necessarily. His has blue steel and nickel frame. He also uses a basic grip whereas mine is an ironwood grip. The varnish on his appears to be wild cherry and mine is mesquite. Just subtle differences. I may make a tutorial on how to make Sean's revolver so stay tuned, partner.

I know it’s ironic given how the player behaves in gameplay, but I don’t think Arthur is the type of guy to customize his weapons. Would he take someone’s gun that’s already customized? Yeah, but he won’t go out of his way to customize his guns. Spending pointless money on things that don’t matter.
He for sure would get at the very least better sights and the barrel rifling. Not sure about the longer barrel though since it would affect his quickdraw.

@@Tylerjamar-reborn8447 I designed the primary gun this way for a few reasons. First reason is I like the way Sean and Kierans revolvers looked so I kind of mashed the two designs together. Second, I think that the dark and light steel contrasting together is symbolic of high and low honor. Third, my grandpa had a gun that looked just like this. I'd love to know how you made yours.

In my headcanon, the Volcanic Pistol is "Arthur's gun", for me looked perfect with him, matched his character well, a customized full brass, and a dark wood grip.
Also it made sense for me, bcs in my playthrough, I tried to make Arthur's and John's tastes different as possible.
Ex: My Arthur drinks whisky, and my John drinks beer.
So, for me it made sense it work this way: Arthur prefers pistols, John prefers revolvers
@@greenwarrior511 Personally, I hate the volcanic. The reason why I love the cattleman is because you can fan the hammer. Roger Clark even pointed out that he prefers the cattleman over anything else. Plus I think that he would be trying to cling on to the old days as much as possible with older weapons, but each to their own, my friend. If I had to use a pistol instead of a revolver, I'd use a mauser.

@@Arthur_Deadeye_Morgan well they have grips just for honour. It seems more like bad Arthur would use the Double-Action, whereas good Arthur would use the Cattleman, hence the grip options on them. And looking at the buck and coyote scenes, it appears gold is the “good” colour.
But Rockstar says he’s “no nonsense” and he’s always thinking about money, so I doubt he’d pay for cosmetics at all
@@rustysalmonella7681 Yeah. I don't use those grips very often. Mostly because I like the standard grips best (which are basic, ironwood, ebony, and pearl). I usually like to change things up when he gets home from Guarma because I figured he'd have lost his old ones at sea. When I do that, I make the primary with all iron and a myrtle grip and once he gets diagnosed with tb, I add a deer carving. For the offhand, I just make Lenny's revolver in memory of him.
