Received my Calendar on Friday :) Thank you So much Thomas, It's now on my Computer room wall so I can look at it and be inspired everyday by you're amazing work , Its amazing - So cool that its signed by you & Ben Fogle. Cheers Thomas you're the Best.
Traveling is what got me into photography! I went on a cross country roadtrip by myself last year in March. I drove in a giant circle around the US in 23 days. I wish it was longer but money was tight. I visited 6 different friends is different states and even made some new ones that I've kept in touch with since then. Before the trip, I bought a little canon point and shoot. I knew if I was doing something this big, I'd need something that could take better photos than my phone. I took my time and put lots of effort into taking good photographs. A couple hundred photos later, I realized how much I enjoyed creating photos and that I had a special talent in it as well. A few months after my return home, I purchased a Canon 80D and have walked into a new and beautiful world of art, creativity, and exploration! And I give thanks to people like you, Thomas Heaton, that keep me inspired and encouraged to try new things! Thank you so much!!! P.S. feel free to check out my instagram! gingersnap_xyz
Very glad he's as nice a guy as he appears on TV; you'll be chuffed you met your hero then! He's someone I've idolised for a long time also and would love to go on a journey with him and maybe you too with all our puppers. Good job on the interview Mr H.
I've been waiting so long for this! I a, even watching it on my SMART tv not my laptop (I just came here to like the video and comment!) I would also like your calendar! I wanted to buy it but never got round to it in time. I am also a fan of Ben, admittedly, I haven't read any of his books. I will!
Seriously been enjoying these videos. Found you on the photography subreddit. For two weeks, while I got through my chemo treatments I binged on your videos. Following that binge, I went on a big road trip to celebrate finishing treatments with the lady. I used my dad's camera to take hundreds of photos from that road trip. One of the best things I've done in my life, honestly. I came back from that trip wiser onto photography and also the limits of my father's camera. A few weeks ago I bought an A7RII and have been going deeper into this interest. It's an amazing feeling producing an image you're truly proud of--the composition, the effort and work to get the image, but also the creative dimensions in post. There's all this frontier and I hadn't known it was there and add in people I greatly admire, leading lives I want to lead, doing great things within nature. What's not to love?
Every day and week I look forward to another video. You always inspire me to just pick up my camera and go out for the weekend. A signed calendar would be amazing :)
The two people that I turn to most for inspiration to get out into nature, with or without camera, in one place and on my screen - what could better that... Well done Thomas that was really well interviewed IMO.
I love Ben Fogle and his adventure series, and enjoy every Wednesday's to see a new landscape video! Would appreciate an amazing calendar from you!! I would have purchased one, but I am a high schooler on a budget and missed the opportunity.
Good work Thom. Picked up your channel about 4 months ago and have been glued every Wednesday ever since. I've now been out with my camera far more than I ever used to. Thanks for being an inspiration to me and i'm sure to many others. Keep up the good work!
Well done with your first interview, you didn't even look nervous. Giving your calendar away is a very kind thing to do, many would have tried to sell it, what a lovely gift for one of your lucky fans.
For a first time interview it was great, very well done. I too like the many thousands of viewers would like the calendar. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your videos, they are much appreciated, keep up the good work.
Yes please on the Calendar, Ben has always inspired my travels, and you have inspired my photography beyond belief, we travel to Cumbria 3 times a year, it's always good to see you shooting there!
I came onto your channel a few days ago and have now watch all of your videos TWICE! You have inspired me to further my photography to be apart of my daily life. Being in the outdoors is a passion of mine like yourself. Love your videos keep up the AWESOME work!!
You're probably a better interviewer than many we can see on tv! Nice job done for your first time! And off course I'd like your calendar. Having a inspiring support months after months would be amazing for me! thanks again for your videos!
Thomas thanks for this. Being in Canada I've only seen bits and pieces of Ben's adventures. It was really cool to see the man behind it, truly a gentleman.
hey tom. Great interview, done yourself proud there. very interesting to. Fogle is such a great guy. I'm gutted that I've finally caught up on your videos. roll on next week
Do you know what's so cool about this video? You ARE a professional adventurer and you got excited meeting a fellow adventurer! This is why your channel keeps growing, because of your genuineness - keep doing what you're doing, Sam
What a day! You've worked hard, earned a reputation for being good at what you do, so I think you deserve the odd reward like this. You're one of the "all-round-good-guys" yourself, so well done and keep it coming.
great interview Thomas! Ben is just a model and has been an influence to my travels for so long. and that calendar seems like an authentic piece of art and motivation.
I have spent many hours watching and re-watching your video's. I can think of nothing better than having your pictures on the wall. Plus the fact it would be autographed by you and Ben. The misses might let me put it up too with Bens name on it. Good job on your first interview.
As always, wonderful video. While not your "normal" photo discussion, you did a great job keeping the viewer engaged! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing Ben with us.
Being an aspiring adventure photographer myself, living in Africa, I really enjoyed this interview and inspired me to do a little research on all Ben's travels etc. Keep on creating content Thomas, and keep on chasing the dream, not everyone is so lucky to be chasing something they are truly passionate about - Janik Alheit
Ben Fogle = hero and a legend! Remember watching him on castaway on BBC years and years ago. Mr Heaton, fast becoming my photography hero! I could do with a calendar, never bought one for this year! Keep up the fantastic videos.
I met Steve McCurry a couple of years ago and he was an extremely nice guy and a long time hero of mine along with Tim Page (whom I would love to meet). These people are natural adventurers and the world needs these people and Ben Fogle is another one of them. For an armchair adventurer like me reading, watching their stuff is great contrast to my lifestyle and a never ending source of fascination. So if you get chance meet your heroes they are human after all. Great interview well done!👍
Because of your videos on here, I've booked, planned and prepped for my roadtrip around the Highlands end of this month. So thank you for the inspirational content, it's great!
Well that was a nice surprise Tom, thoroughly enjoyed that. i have watched all Ben Fogle,s series and seen him travel far and wide to places i could only dream of. I like his outlook on life "go for it" and "just do it" is sound advice, and you know what, he's spot on. Great interview you handled it really well, keep up the good work, look forward to the next one. Oh an yes of course i would love to have your Calendar.
Thank you for sharing your interview with your hero. Maybe someday I'll meet one of my heroes...Thomas Heaton. Your videos really are a highlight of my week. Thank you.
An interview with a guy like Ben Fogle fits your channel perfectly. Awesome to see do a "collab" (and a total different one, than we're used to from other youtubers).
Amazing absolutely amazing, Ben Fogle and Thomas Heaton together what a great Show you two would make together, one great Explorer and one great Photographer, About time something good come to our tv screens. Keep up the great work Thomas your my inspiration.
Two inspirational people in one video - what a great start to the weekend. Off out with the 80D shortly for a stroll in the countryside to see what comes up.Keep up the good work Tom.
Things are changing Thomas, your moving up buddy. From wild camping on your own in the Lake District a couple of years back to interviewing celebs in a camper! Good job too, you carried yourself well and your now known by a celebrity. Maybe get asked on his next adventure, he did say he wished he had more photos of his trips.....
This was the best interview I've ever watched. I have never heard before about Ben Fogle, but I am sure, that as soon as possible I will find his books and read them. Then you very much Thomas for doing those videos, I found them really inspirational. For a person like me, who isn't a professional photographer, but wants to learn - your videos are one of the best to inspire me to go out and take pictures. I hope one day I could make at least one image that is as good as yours. Thanks for everything you do and keep up the good work! Cheers from Bulgaria :)
Very inspirational. Now these are the type of people I would love to meet and become more like. Thank you for uploading it to RUclips. Can't really find too many people/shows/interviews on tv anymore that follow Bens (and your) type of mind frame and character. Whoever gets that calendar will be one happy camper :)
Its great to see what Ben has done with his life/career, my first introduction to him was castaway when I was a kid, and I vaguely remember him being this polarising character due to his leadership style on projects. Great interview Thomas, looking forward to the next vid.
Wow, How good was that. You did yourself proud, and Ben was 100% with you all the way. Very professional mate, well done. And yes please consider me for the calendar.
Tom I'll be honest you are the one that inspires me to pursue my love of photography and I look up to you just like you look up to Ben. I was not able to purchase your calender when you released it but I would really love to have one whether it is signed or not. Your videos have allowed me to get out and explore more than I ever had before. It's allowed me to create memories I'll never forget and I want to say thank you for that.
One off the most relaxed and informative interviews I've ever seen. Never heard of BF but will look him up for sure. Maybe you could teach 60 minutes how to interview people.
Thomas I really enjoy your RUclips video's. Your stories are sometimes what I feel when planning a photo trip. You also give me a lot of tips on things to remember out there taking pictures. Thanks and keep up the good work. Excellent interview.
This is the only calendar that could replace my current Ansel Adams calendar. An incredible piece of inspiration from two current successful and inspiring individuals.
I'm from the land down under and particularly love watching your videos and gain a fair amount of bits and pieces of advice. To see that interview I think the best piece of advice is so true for anything in life including photography - just do it and don't let any one say that you can't. Going to start working on trying the You Tube Videos for places here in Aus! If you ever decide to travel here let me know and I'll be more than happy to help out!
Well done Thomas! The camper van was definitely a perfect setting for the interview and leaving the suit at home as a good call. Cant wait to see next weeks video! Plus that calendar

This video makes me want to find someone to take care of my cat and just leave. great video.
Magnus Bekkengen Was thinking the same but the wife and kids wouldn't want to be without their Daddy! :p
I saw somebody carry their cat to the top of Pen y Fan in Wales, you could take yours with you!
Traveling is what got me into photography! I went on a cross country roadtrip by myself last year in March. I drove in a giant circle around the US in 23 days. You look nervous and excited.... its very humbling to see someone I look up to, and who inspires me... to get "star struck" when meeting their idol!
My daughter was presented with her degree by Ben she loves what he stands for and he's a top guy, great interview by the way
I can't understand why 43 people have given a thumbs down. The dislike button should be removed completely. to negative.
+1
The sound of Ben is distorted and the bright parts from the sun don't look good. That might be a reason.
Well i thought it was great mate
I could not have done a better job :)
Great interview Tom. Thanks for the mention at the end in your suggested video to watch! Means a lot...
I like Monty's photobombing.
Does reverse psychology work? Just in case; I really don't want that calendar, it's got black pen all over it...
