Love this concept!! If you were to revisit it, could be a cool opportunity to include a land acknowledgment, esp because many national parks have co-stewardship agreements with local Indigenous tribes!

I've gotten involved in my state's park system as an SIR. Each park is different and has different goals and missions. The park I work at is classified as a "resort park", meaning it focuses more on the guests and the recreational activities they can do. Other parks are tailored more towards history. Others are tailored more towards the conservation and resource management mission. And some might be tailored more towards wildlife management. It might be bias but I tend to think my state is doing great things with our state parks.
This is absolutely inspired!!!❤❤❤ Oh my goodness, so much to admire about this. Visually, you chose the perfect lighting! An almost sepia filter to everything that adds to the entire aesthetic.

this is quickly becoming a fav asmr video. i truly love white noise like air conditioners and distant traffic. i like videos that feel like you're just existing and it isn't super clean. a lot of my other favs will have some kind of background noise like rain. this one is so cozy and lovely it reminds me of being 6 and also it reminds me of healthy harold (australian health mascot who is a giraffe puppet in a van)

I live in WA, where my favorite state park is Goldendale Obaervatory where you can attend nighttime presentations by rangers and observe the night sky through some pretty impressive telescopes. It's extremely cozy. If you're ever in the area, be sure to check it out!
Lovely video. I did just want to say that, though I know education isn't exactly the main point of these, it would have been nice to see a mention of the native american tribes of the area or at least some acknowledgement that they existed---that people had discovered it before John Muir.

What timing. I just got home from the Sierra National Forest but had to evacuate due to grassfire smoke being updrafted into the area I was in. North of Clovis in the Shaver lake area.

In my state we have Park Rangers but they’re like security/public safety for our state parks. They do patrols, search and rescue and and other public safety type duties. I’ve always wanted to do that, we have some beautiful state parks here in New York.
