I’m just here to give more respect to the most underrated frontman/vocalist in the history of rock: Jeff Martin!!! I love how he rocks the headset mic so original!!!🤣👏🔥💪🎤😎
Man, Jeff Martin is one of my favourite vocalist...EVER. Not many people realise that he is an immaculate drummer! He is seriously on par with the X's drummer!
I've only just got into Racer x in the past two years. I would have been 15 and on the other side of the globe when this video was recorded. This really captures what it would have felt like to see them live in a noisy club - so damn cool!
I WAS THERE........ALL THE WAY BACK TO 1985, TRUPADOOR CA WHEN BRUCE WAS'NT ON STREET LEATHAL.....ONE OF THE BADDEST LIVE BANDS TOO SEE.....GREAT MEMORIES........
Just in case anyone is wondering or anything, but the tune up until 1:04 is actually called Phallic Tractor. But on the album it does lead into Fire of Rock. But TECHNICALLY they are 2 tracks.
Jeff Martin doesn't get enough credit as a singer. Huge range, killer drummer (I bet some people don't know that), and good stage presence. This band should've made it big by their second release. Some incredible songwriting.
The singer is a drummer... that´s why he uses a headset i suppose. He played drums in Jake E. Lee´s Badlands, for Paul Gilbert, Dokken, etc. And lead singer for Racer X obviously. I take my hat off for that! u rule!
Is that Juan on bass or someone else? I know he's played on all the records but I can't tell with the damn mask. But his stance and playing tell me it's him!
exelent even the singing is just like you hear it on album...how many stars from this time fail when they go live!!!XD and you see em everyday on commercial radio etc...this grp rocks!!! no computer ore voice change blabla phoophaa just drums guitare and a singer = WIN
Definition of Shredder - Someone who plays notes extremely fast without any feel, Rhythm or timing e.g. MAB. Paul is an immensly fast fucking incredible guitar player! : )
hmm, is it me or is that bassist DAMN COOL! and i hate the way the cameras never on the drummer in these things... amazing song :D how do they get it so perfect!
In this I think Paul resembles to Ritchie in late of Deep Purple and early of Rainbow very much. The loudest sound of Racer-X in the small space made Paul wear headphones while playing loud musics. Nevertheless Racex-X songs are awesome!!! Still they do work!!!
He really is singing live @ 4:10 it is just that he has a backing track, doing the harmony vocals to fatten up the sound! The root not you hear IS him. A shit ton of singers do it.
you havent heard the album then. he totally nails the kick ass voice to lead such a talented guitarist like paul. rock the fuck on. i live for racer x!

What happened at this minute?? I don't see anything =s
lol paul is fuckin sick - pure shred - and a great personality, the singer really does need a mic so he dosent have to worry about his hands cause it seems like he really dosent know what to do with them, and the bassist is just fuckin hilarious
Well, Jeff Martin has that voice, it's not like he's drumming or running around stage, any good singer should sound that good, BUT the other explanation is bad editing. Like when they edit the video for a concert and the guitar solo you hear isn't matching the fingers of the player because the engineer just chose good video in place of accurate video.
racer x was just a superband...they should regroup!!

one of the best Racer X songs ever! i love this...very special mood!
A great performance of a great song.
I love Paul Gilbert's fluid soloing tone, it's so buttery and clear!

I WAS THERE........ALL THE WAY BACK TO 1985, TRUPADOOR CA WHEN BRUCE WAS'NT ON STREET LEATHAL.....ONE OF THE BADDEST LIVE BANDS TOO SEE.....GREAT MEMORIES........
Scott Travis is the human metronome! Always consistent. he rocks and gets suck a HEAVY tone out of his gear without killing it
Paul is one of the best guitar players ever, and forever will be.
damn, that high pitched beep throughout the whole video hurts!!! Great band, great song :D Gilbert rules!
I'd like to hear a gilbert/travis version of bark at the moon
when was this recorded?
the singers voice sounds exactly the same as on record!
amazin song!!
I love this and Miss Mistreater..
Just in case anyone is wondering or anything, but the tune up until 1:04 is actually called Phallic Tractor. But on the album it does lead into Fire of Rock. But TECHNICALLY they are 2 tracks.
Yeah, it's the first two tracks from the album Technical Difficulties
@@YuriHabadakas Man, I left that comment 13 years ago. Haha
Awesome awesome awesome. Always loved this song. I do think there was a discrepancy with the video editing, no lip syncing here.
Masks are crazy awesome man :P John's pretty metal, he did some cool work with the Mars Volta and solo.
@Ninjaro Paul Gilbert doesn't need to sweep pick man. He can pick faster!
exactcly as on the studio version, in other words, simply awesome!!!
Thanks for posting this, First time I have heard the song, Singer has a little Geoff Tate in him, and Paul Gilbert and that Rythym section-look out.
@MrRSalis Only the first 57seconds are called Phallic Tractor. it's like an intro to Fire of Rock.
The intro is so epic!
The Drummer is Scott Travis..in '89-'90 becomes the new Judas Priest drummer(Painkiller Album!)
Paul Gilbert forever and more!
great song!
Agreed. Paul's a very tasteful guitarist for a super shredder, and also creative as well.
juan alderete is pure great, his work in both racer x and Mars Volta is masterpiece
Jeff Martin doesn't get enough credit as a singer. Huge range, killer drummer (I bet some people don't know that), and good stage presence. This band should've made it big by their second release. Some incredible songwriting.
music from the 80s !!!
Was someone running a vacuum cleaner in the background?

SOOOO GOOD.
Is that Juan on bass or someone else? I know he's played on all the records but I can't tell with the damn mask. But his stance and playing tell me it's him!
Definitely is Juan! I have the video CD. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowball_of_Doom
this would be an awesome rock band song, the game that is.
Legends!

最高😃⤴️⤴️実際日本のライブ行きました‼️😄
John alderette play the bass in this vídeo?????
No. It's Rey Mysterio.

paul you are the best
The man is Juan Alderete from Mexico (thats why the Mask), the Bassist of The Mars Volta, but in Racer X is John Alderete... The same Guy!
its' possible that i have the record of this concert???
snowball of doom live at whiskey!!!
yeah, i do. The video was probably pulled from a video or dvd on the actual player, so its probably that
Paul Gilbert super mega GOD xD
Great band. Noisegate's not working too good on Jeff Martin's Mic. You can hear the stage sound bleeding through.
they are so fucking good.
In this I think Paul resembles to Ritchie in late of Deep Purple and early of Rainbow very much. The loudest sound of Racer-X in the small space made Paul wear headphones while playing loud musics. Nevertheless Racex-X songs are awesome!!! Still they do work!!!
Phallic Tractor is the intro and should be added to the title of this video
I like the lucha libre on the bass. He's awesome
so good song!! .. a really nice beginning .. I LIKE ROCKING AND HEAVY SONG! anyway.. who doesnt?
4:10 Lip Synch FAIL or bad edit?

He really is singing live @ 4:10 it is just that he has a backing track, doing the harmony vocals to fatten up the sound! The root not you hear IS him. A shit ton of singers do it.

What happened at this minute?? I don't see anything =s
@Ninjaro LOL mike? thats a persons name
The beginning is actually Phallic Tractor.
🎉🎉🎉
rifan con madre!!!
Man this would be so awesome if it wasn't for that high pitched whine throughout the whole thing :(
P.G for the win.
You stole my words. But I was going to mention Scott to. hahahah
there's a noise backgound...it seems like an infernal hairdryer..nonetheless it's an awesome performance!
@Ninjaro He's just godly
too bad the guitar solo does not come out as it does on record, with the twin-lead guitars.
but still cool!
this is very good....sounds similar to dokken's sound
the man masked is Juan Alderete
00:50 sweet Rush Hemispheres chord
good call
It cracks me up the bassist is in the Mars Volta
fucking stellar
cos hes awesome! :P
Paul DOES play with feeling.
Travis the premier drummer on the face of the planet. Though the dude from Dream Theater is a monster as well.
I like "more than a feeling" more
exellent.....
the drumer IS SCOTT TRAVIS
reall sick band,really a showband.
Does anyone else here white noise in the background when they listen to this? or atleast a high pitch sound?
Who is the singer?
Jeff Martin. He's been with them since the beginning.
Thanks!!! @@adamwarlock3530

This makes me wanna stop trying. x)
Sound quality is not so good but what they're playing really kicks my ass
@jumbofrets24 why? lol
@chillichomper I would kill to see him paired up with Scott Weiland!
Well, Jeff Martin has that voice, it's not like he's drumming or running around stage, any good singer should sound that good, BUT the other explanation is bad editing. Like when they edit the video for a concert and the guitar solo you hear isn't matching the fingers of the player because the engineer just chose good video in place of accurate video.
singer is really good live. And of course so is paul :P, but man what is with that mask on the bassist haha?
juan is awesome
Sporting the Britney style mic I see. :D
@sokaris418
He's a really nice guy....would give you the shirt off his back.
@sokaris418
I'm sure you're an expert and a close friend. ROFL.
