Ping mage is real… a real chumbus.
I’ve been having a ton of fun with this deck lately - as an old fashioned control warrior fan, I’ve missed the days of turtle strategies, but to my surprise, generating infinite ice blocks and solid alibis feels like the modern equivalent of getting a bunch of armor that your opponent can’t break through. Happy to see this video too, as now I’ll know how a good player plays it :P

Reading about the DPP Arceus format because that's when I first got into the tcg as a kid, I was shocked at how many really dynamic and just generally sick cards that did super unique things there were. Copying Supporters with Gardevoir, a hand trap, unknowns equipping, everything going on with Dusknoir Lvl X, etc. Its made me want to go back and explore the format with my current experience
DPP was awesome, great memories from there. Garchomp C mirrors were some of the most engaging games Ive ever played.

I can relate to the last part. I would love to play again my pokemon platinum on my 3ds, sold both and now they are hard to find or try to get, not impossible so it's a something to the future me. Also, not doing the "just use an emulator" as having them there with you changes your peropesctive (?) idk, I would love to play older games like that
Yeah emulating just isnt the same. Plus I want to play relaxing on the couch, not at my computer

Probably not the best place for advice. But i was curious if i should buy the mega bundle. Ive bought it for each expansion of the last couple years but the is the one time where i thought about not. Since the quality is going a bit down and i haven't had fun during workshop. Sorry for the long thing of text but I just really wanted advice. Thanks in advance
Uuuuuum I think the set looks pretty fun for Standard, Im more excited for Standard this expansion than last expansion. Hard to give advice cause I dont know your expectations, but I will say if you think you might have fun mega bundle is the most efficient way to spend money. You also shouldnt drop that money on something you think might not be fun so… I guess Im useless 😅

The discussion about the Twist stuff is real. I think they should really just go all in on the Wild format for balancing and make it more active, introduce new twist formats for wild players to make things interesting, have events for purchasables etc

Its not discontinued I just hit kind of a slump and some stuff has been fallong through the cracks 😅 Ill get on that tonight thanks for saying something.
I may be wrong but I believe that the switch version does support link cable content from the game boy pokemon game which is kinda neat i guess, good luck finding anyone to play against though

If they burn through their deck they can use the quest payoff to deal their own fatigue damage to the opponent, didn't work out though since they didn't look after their health total.
The missed hero powers actually cost them the game.
Blizzard failing with Twist again meanwhile their Classic format was POPPIN, it actually brought back a ton of OG players. It was very fun playing control warrior/mage, miracle rogue, handlock and op druid
Classic got some hype for a week or two but it was also incredibly unpopular.

I saw ping mage on the tempo storm report and got excited, then I saw the deck list and fell to my knees...anyways won't take away from my enjoyment of the video but the deck does indeed look criminal

hey marshie, i love the hearthstone content on here but i wanted to try and catch a stream sometime soon, when do you stream usually?
Ive been less consistent, next for sure stream will be 10am tuesday, and I plan to start at that time the rest of the week for ~4 hours each day

I played this deck like 5 times and never drew a wildfire once so i think this deck is ass-tier
Reckless apprentice is actually my most hated card of all time and i hate the fact the ping mage is so beloved archetype in community. I saw many suggestions to bring it back to the core set but if i had to struggle with it again i probably wouldnt play standard at all for a year. Also i hate the Sif mages 5 mana mech that does similar thing (ramping board clear, but RA also goes face which is also an aspect of it that i hate).
