the thing i, according to the Lore of Dune, those harvester drones ought to attract sandworms EVEN MORE, as they are very sensitive agaisnt the holzmann field, the thing that makes suspensors and shields work in Dune.
Yes, but I *think* the ‘Or’ in their name refers to a weird supertech akin to NoShips, or whatever the later hyperspace ships were called. The don’t levitate using holzmann fields as much as just ignore reality.
Fun fact: Ix was originally called Alkalurops IX because it's the ninth planet orbiting the star Alkalurops. People shortened it to Ix over time.
There's no resurrection per se in Dune but the Bene Tleilax can create ghola or clones. Those have no memory of their previous life but after being recreated hundreds of times over 5000 years, Duncan Idaho managed to access the "genetic memory" of all his previous incarnations. Dune become a bit more magical and less sciency in the later books although it was never exactly hard SciFi.
Edit: Wait, the first ghola also managed to access the memories of his previous life.
Cool
You can't imagine how I hope they will film the other books. At least until 'God Emperor'. Because reading (or watching) just the first book leaves you with a completely different message.
I mean "Paul is the hero that saves the princess and becomes heir to the throne." VS "Charismatic leaders should come with the lable 'might be detrimental to your health' " has quite a different ring to it.
@@robertnett9793 Also the whole "locking yourself into your own visions and being able to change them" thing.
@@robertnett9793 Have you read the books?
@@kaltaron1284Yes... Albeit I am not sure how much influence Paul would have had over his fate. He, at least was weirded out enough to pussy out of the ordeal and leave it to his kids to figure it out.
I very much like the ‘space adjacent’ style, it reminds me of the quote about the Guild being a village dependant on a river (spice) but if they dam the river (take control of Arrakis) then they draw attention to their needs from everyone else and guarantee their own loss.
And Paul says the Fremen can because they can destroy the spice.
Love this all of a sudden, So there's Dune everywhere now, dune on the screen dune in our minds and Dune *_EVER SEEING INTO THE UNBLINKING EYE OF THE FUTURE'S PAST!_*
Still all around good vibes from the recent Dune explosion almost like a prelude to the _Golden Path._
Goddamn SAM missile just blew up in my eye! The movie Dune is in my chocolatey drink!
Hey, Pravus you can resurrect a hero you just need to look in the recruitment tab and it should say Ghola (hero's name) it costs 1k Solari and 150 Lasrad standing and you can only after they die and you can do this infinitely (I know the AI can but I have only let a hero die once so I don't know if costs scale or if human players can't do this multiple times). It's just pricey. Also, I like the content keep it up. Also, corrino got a big buff with research to deploy a main base (up to a max of three) after destroying another player's main base so maybe replay them? EDIT: It's the 10k hegemony bonus, not research for more bases. I misremembered.
Gotta take a piss at all major players and conquer Arrakis as smugglers 😅
Wow I just watched all of your other videos on this game yesterday and then you release this today lol
i wonder if they will have alt time line and bring in the Bene Tleilax or the Honored Matres; a bastardization of Bene Gesserit + Fish Speakers that returned from The Scattering would be a nice touch
We are the brainy boys. We want all of the brains. Thanks for the video.
The Ixians were a massive issue in my Emperor:BfD campaigns, having them as a playable major faction in Spice wars is very cool.
Here's hoping the Tleilaxu and Ordos eventually make an appearance
Considering your hero Nuwa based on her surname is most likely a descendent of the first navigator and founder/leader of the Spacing Guild Norma Cenva, you'd think you'd have some pull.
Also Gholas are what you're thinking of for resurrections. Basically clones that can have the memories of the original up to the point in time the DNA came from. By the end of the books Gholas' are everywhere, I swear there's more Gholas than regular people by the end and most of the time they're there to be killed. Especially poor Duncun Idaho, I think he's in the tens of thousands by the end.
More like hundreds but that's still a lot. He was resurrected for 5000 something years IIRC and each incarnation lasted at least a few years. A few actually quite a bit. And at least Leto II took a brief time of mourning after each one.
@@kaltaron1284 Okay yep I'm being stoopid, I remember reading the wiki awhile back when trying to remember what happened to both Leto II after becoming Sand Trout and his ghola after unleashing the worms on Synchrony. Duncan kept having numbers after his name like Idaho 12758, it didn't click that they were the year date and thought they were and instead thought they were which iteration of Duncan it was, oops.
@@Vicerion17 No worries. I don't remember them having numbers so I learnt something as well.
I honestly envy your ability to think ahead, Pravus. I never seem to be able to make and "future" plans when playing a strategy game^^;
As soon as I heard the DLC announced, I was hoping you would make a video on it. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for the guide.
I love the music in this game!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind killer
Finaly watched the 1st movie and planning to see the second one Saturday. So I finally I understand wtf this is about and why the hype
will you do a playthrough of the new RimWorld update and DLC?
Prob when its fully released
When will they add house Ordos for that 2000s nostalgia?
They can't... It was a creation from the devs of the previous game, it is not part of the canon Dune universe and so they don't have the rights 😢
In dune-lore exist ghola, clone with genetic memory, made by the Bene Tleilax
Wasn't the genetic memory only related to the Duncan Idaho Ghola?
@@SImrobert2001 He was the first one they succeeded with. At least as far as remembering his first life.
A later one gains the memories of all of them.
I don't remember if they had other successful one.
Commenting regarding rebel Inc: Created a new scenario combat escalation if you want to check that out. Previously made the last one you played Peacekeeper. Which you probably did not know since i only got one like on my last comment. Hopefully you read these Pravus.
Things getting spicy
i hope they add more faction of the great houses.
Praise Pravus
As is written
They could bring back heroes as Gholas which are clones in Dune. ****SPOILER Below***
The clones are immensly important in the story and a Duncan Idaho ghola is the ultimate savior of the universe.
Together with a very distant descendant of Paul. And they really get it going.
Not very known house? I mean it sure doesn't help that they call House Ix something completely different.
But it's the correct name of the House. The planet they rule is called Ix and the people often Ixians but the House is indeed called Vernius.
LA LA LA I CANNOT HEAR YOU
Every time i want to start this game my pc crashes. what ever i do, nothing fix it. i checked everywhere.
More Millenia please!
Can you do another Ck3 series #pravus
More dune
Bro stop cutting parts from the video it's fine if i don't like it ill skip it i don't want you to skip it for me I want to see everything and evry detail
First
I will not pay for such woke game! They go full race swap and gender swap....
I consider myself a conservative and wtf
@@siretriste4045 E? You know Book and the old movies Dune. I think everyone there is light skinned. Sorry for bad english.
@@ivayloivanov7231 the book series makes little mention of the ethnicity of the protagonists. Regarding the Fremen, it makes sense for them to be diversely represented, as their very language and culture is derived from Arabic interpretations
As much as I understand your feelings here, this isn't the place for the fight.
Focus on the real problems, Blackrock, ESG, and the consulting firms that are damaging the AAA space.
Dune is a relatively minor game in this with less focus on the lore, Canon and depictions of the characters, making noise about this actually hurts what we are trying to achieve in the fight against the institutional wokeness in the industry and makes us luck foolish.
@@elPominator Dude i vote whit my wallet - refusing to support such woke games and movies! Long live Pirate bay!
