I have them disabled on all of my content, but RUclips has a confirmed bug that causes them to play for some viewers anyway. It's not just my channel - this has been a problem across the entire platform since at least mid-2022. RUclips's engineers know about the bug and what causes it to happen, but unfortunately, they have not provided any information about when (or if) they will fix it. The bug tends to manifest as a 30-second mid-roll ad played around the 6-hour mark, and it disproportionately affects iPhone and iPad users. I have been investigating this for a very long time, and I go into more detail about my findings here: ruclips.net/video/ndeUVgZMh1Y/видео.html If you are affected by the bug but still want to access my content, I recommend that you view this video's description and try one of the alternatives I have provided, such as Spotify or Odysee. If you want to stay on RUclips, you'll find that I have live stream versions of my most popular content, and they tend to be safe from the bug - but not always. The only guaranteed way to never get ads on RUclips is to subscribe to RUclips Premium, which I understand is not an option for everyone. As it turns out, the reason I have the luxury of disabling ads everywhere RUclips will let me is because my channel makes the vast majority of its revenue from RUclips Premium. I have reviewed my analytics data and it appears that RUclips does not compensate me for the mid-roll ads in question, which I suspect is because their systems cannot reconcile the fact that a mid-roll ad played even though I have them disabled. You are welcome to reply to this comment with information about what happened to you, but at this point, we have a pretty solid understanding of what's going on and are just hoping it will be fixed. Historically, it helped when viewers would list what type of device they were on, which app or browser was being used, the approximate timestamp of when the ad played, and what company/product/service the ad was for. It’s okay, Mr. Grossman! I don’t know why RUclips shoves random ads within videos. My theory is so that the designers/people who run the site/company get money (paid). I'm still trying to get RUclips Creator Support to fix it, and they told me they think they found why it happens, but I'm still waiting on results for that. I ran a poll a week or two ago to check if people are still getting ads on my content, and some are, so things are still broken, I guess. In any case, I'm glad my content helps you reliably. That's what I'm after! 😁

I just wanted to thank you. I had been using white noise for about a week but green noise is just a bit calmer and kinder for my ears. I haven't gotten any ads yet and as someone who always wants to read or has to do homework but really struggles with focusing when the world is so loud, this videos saves me. It's like it's all I can really hear.
Green noise is definitely gentler than white noise, for sure - and this one has been smoothed out to remove even more of those higher frequencies you don't like very much. I'm glad you haven't gotten ads, but don't be afraid to let me know if you do because I'm still tracking the problem so I can report it to RUclips. It's great that this one works so well for you... when I craft these, I never know if it's going to make a difference for anyone, so I really appreciate your letting me know! 😁

So, the thing is, for any video uploaded after November 2023, RUclips is straight-up forcing me to put ads at the beginning (and sometimes the end) of my videos. Like it's out of my hands, and I don't get to choose how many, if they'll be skippable, etc. I'm SUPPOSED to be able to at least say I don't want any to come up in the middle, but that doesn't seem to be working right now... I'm trying to get RUclips to fix it, but it's taking a while. And anyway, wanna know the crazy thing? I make more money from RUclips Premium than from ads, so as far as I'm concerned, we could just skip ads altogether and I'd be happy as a clam! Oh well...
I've tried several frequencies to calm my ever racing mind but, to less than adequate results. I've tinnitus and am a war Veteran so my mind is truly never at rest. I tried brown noise last night and did not sleep. I knew green noise helped immensely but, thought is try something different. Back to the green tonight.

Green noise definitely has a different profile than brown, and a lot of people these days seem to prefer it. This one in particular has been heavily modified so there are more lows and fewer mid-highs, and it's been very popular with my viewers. I hope it continues to help you. 🙂

Tonight has been one of those weird ones in that my body is so tired but my brain is most definitely not and usually I toss and turn or give up and scroll RUclips until the night is over but I found these videos after seeing an ad for green noise and I am so so thankful I did! I think this one is the best one I’ve listened to so far! It sounds like driving along a smooth highway or being in a snowstorm. Just like a blanket for my ears. I’m not sleeping yet, but I’m happy. Don't give up. My first two times listening the sound kept me awake. I have a lot of energy and it's hard for me to wind down so I turned the noise off. The third time I heard it I was really tired and it put me to sleep right away. After that, tired or not tired, I guess it set a switch in my brain where green noise means let go of everything and I drift off. I have awakened to find it off, but not so much now because I turn the volume down a bit so I don't notice it going off. It sounds like waterfalls and rivers I've heard camping here in Oregon. Thanks for providing us this service. 😊 🙏 ❤️ ✝️ 😇 ⛪️ 🌎

DJ how do you keep up with all these comments? Also, this is my favorite one you don't have to answer first one but what's the difference between all the noises?
It's really just a few a day, for the most part. It's not hard to keep up with unless I get really busy with other stuff, in which case I may not be able to answer for a little while. I enjoy reading and answering comments! Well, polite ones, anyway. The others I just delete. 😂 As for what's the difference between all the noises... that's a pretty big question, believe it or not! The short answer is that they all have different frequency profiles; like maybe one has more power in the lows and less in the highs, or a bump around a specific frequency in the mids, and so on. This one, for example, is green noise (which has its own definition) that has been smoothed (some mids attenuated) and then given a big bass boost (some lows accentuated).
my sleep has been getting absurd, i'm to the point of stacking green noise on brown noise or airplane cabin sounds, sometimes along with my AC's whirr, just to make sure i actually sleep. but hey, this stuff has been helping, so thanks.
I'm not sure I know what you're asking? The volume should be whatever you like. Some may like a very low volume so the noise is barely noticeable, while others may like a very high volume so the noise drowns out everything else around them. It's all up to you. 🙂
It blocks out the noise from the night clubs that opened across the street - rather rude opening a club next to a apartment building but city doesn't care - downtown looks like a war zone they want businesses come back so screw the apartment building
I am so sorry that's happening to you. It feels like... violating, right? They're tearing up an area right in front of my house and putting in a giant building... it's going to block out the sky I've been able to see for the 14 years I've lived here. It's not enough to make me move (probably), but it is just sad. And in the meantime, I get to listen to all the construction banging and beeping. I agree with you: it's awful when cities just don't care about residents.
Unfortunately, I'm not going to be taking custom size/length requests for these. You are welcome to give one of the many alternatives in the description a try! They tend to be 90 minutes of just the audio.
Because unfortunately, due to a bug, some viewers get an ad in the middle of the video (even though I have those disabled). When the player drops them back in, it records that as a spike in re-watching. There's more information about this in my pinned comment.
Was listening to your bass green sound as always at night. At 3:30 am a commercial came on at twice the volumn waking us both up. Not good! Just letting you know.

DJ how do you keep up with all these comments? Also, this is my favorite one you don't have to answer first one but what's the difference between all the noises?
It's really just a few a day, for the most part. It's not hard to keep up with unless I get really busy with other stuff, in which case I may not be able to answer for a little while. I enjoy reading and answering comments! Well, polite ones, anyway. The others I just delete. 😂
As for what's the difference between all the noises... that's a pretty big question, believe it or not! The short answer is that they all have different frequency profiles; like maybe one has more power in the lows and less in the highs, or a bump around a specific frequency in the mids, and so on. This one, for example, is green noise (which has its own definition) that has been smoothed (some mids attenuated) and then given a big bass boost (some lows accentuated).
my sleep has been getting absurd, i'm to the point of stacking green noise on brown noise or airplane cabin sounds, sometimes along with my AC's whirr, just to make sure i actually sleep. but hey, this stuff has been helping, so thanks.

I'm not sure I know what you're asking? The volume should be whatever you like. Some may like a very low volume so the noise is barely noticeable, while others may like a very high volume so the noise drowns out everything else around them. It's all up to you. 🙂

It blocks out the noise from the night clubs that opened across the street - rather rude opening a club next to a apartment building but city doesn't care - downtown looks like a war zone they want businesses come back so screw the apartment building
I am so sorry that's happening to you. It feels like... violating, right? They're tearing up an area right in front of my house and putting in a giant building... it's going to block out the sky I've been able to see for the 14 years I've lived here. It's not enough to make me move (probably), but it is just sad. And in the meantime, I get to listen to all the construction banging and beeping. I agree with you: it's awful when cities just don't care about residents.

Why is one section of the video so much more viewed than the rest?
Because unfortunately, due to a bug, some viewers get an ad in the middle of the video (even though I have those disabled). When the player drops them back in, it records that as a spike in re-watching. There's more information about this in my pinned comment.
