The first husband is the worst. He should respect people, more importantly his wife who had to suffer so much and who is also a mother. He doesn't seem to understand what the children feel when the parents fight. Sandeul is absolutely right about kids siding with mother. The second concern is simply cute, he reminds me of myself. I think he will be successful.

This is why I kept on saying that Sejeong has nothing to be hated upon nor does she has any lack to be complained about. She should be the reason why it is so easy to fall for and adore with her.
The way she gave all the advice channel like a real specialist even when she's not. She didnt blame one party or another nor did she lean toward one or the other. She simply give the best positive ways for both.
She is an old soul with the purest and kindest heart combine with high intelligence and positivity about life. To think that she is only a 24yrs old with a hard life growing up. Her mom, granddad and grandmom are the biggest contributor why she is that great.

Seeing her in this episode of Hello Counselor really want to put a boost on speaking publicly on many things.
They laugh and make fun of the second guys situation but they forget he’s just a kid who felt unloved and unwanted enough to say why did they have me, they should’ve just been a happy family of three. The mother speaks of her son as if he’s just a neighbors kid. Watch again and you’ll see she really doesn’t have any love for him other then contempt and disregard for him. He’s not what she thinks he should be so he’s not worth motherly love and understanding. He smiles but you can see his heart hurts.
Seriously, that boy is so sweet and positive. All the things the mom complained about are pretty much the most minor things a boy his age can do "wrong." Also, she kept contradicting herself. At first she made it sound like she didn't care anymore about his grades since he never got good grades and that it was other things that annoyed her, but then she kept complaining about how he doesn't study. She was just trying to find reasons to "explain" why she treats him that way.
I would be SO proud to have a child like that if I were a mother. But even when he was performing, she just had this look like, "lol what is wrong with this kid." You would think he was one of those kids who thinks they're talented when they aren't and was doing some kind of embarrassing performance or something, but no - he has a real dream and he's already working hard to achieve it. I'm not saying she isn't allowed to at least be concerned - I know many parents worry their kids have unrealistic dreams and just want them to have a stable future. But she could still support him. I can tell she's one of those parents who's gonna turn around and be all, "look at my amazing son!!! I love you so much, my lovely son!!" the second he becomes successful and starts making money (because then he can buy her expensive things).
1 of these days, he will B an inspiration 2 all of us. And 4 that, we thank him.

Just something to say on the second concern:
Sometimes, even if you have good grades, not anyone can make it without a dream.
It's a blessing that he has a great dream for the future. It's honestly having a dream is one of the best things you can ask for.
I, personally, have pretty good grades, even if I don't try. You'd think that it's a good or lucky thing, but it's honestly not. I have no ambition or dreams, and because I have good memory and mental skills, I feel like I don't have to even try anymore.
We have to do goal-making stuff in school, right? And there are lots of people who have big dreams for the future. I feel very depressed because I don't know what to do. My mom is a nurse (and a Real Estate agent) and she wants me to become a doctor or at least study in the Health. I think I might as well, but I'm not sure if I can...
Dyane Kaniko I have a similar situation. I can easily get good grades but I have no motivation to do stuff. I think I'll just become a Psychologist because I'm capable and it provides a stable future, but I feel jealous when my friends talk about their dreams and what inspired them... It's interesting that the boy in the second concern (who I just realised is the same age as me) can be so passionate about what he wants to do. I want to find a way to just tell him that I support him
The best advice I would give to guys is to do a lot of research on the certain things that take your interest . Look for any careers pertaining to certain field and see if it's something you see yourself doing. It's never too late to find your dream trust me .

a child isn't some kind of glue to hold your messed up relationship together. these people who think their spouse won't leave them just because they've got children really pisses me off
The thing is, with having a child in between it makes it hard for them because they don't want to separate the child from their parents especially since he's only 4 moths old and needs both of his parents to grow. If I was in the mother's position I wouldn't have even gotten pregnant in the first place and I would've got a divorce faster than she did, but hello counselor was her last resort before choosing to get a divorce now that she has a child with him.

As much as i am angry at the husband but i do need to say that it is good that they have responsible not to be separated... I do not agree that they think the child is the glue but it is living proof that they are human being to think for the child. if they are heartless, they would have killed the child or abandon the child...
It is a good thing that they have hello counsel as it is a good platform as a second chance for them to realize who is at fault and maybe change for the better...

I actually do not like the second family at all, they try to justify instead of understand, and they try to change him instead of changing their attitude. "He's too sensitive" is not an excuse to curse at him for crying for his father. These days a lot of times there is this 'perfect masculine image of a man' that all boys are forced to try and achieve buy Byongjun is different, and that should be okay. He shouldn't be made to feel like he's at fault for crying, and if he honestly portrayed his feelings and said he felt ostracized it should be 'humm what did I do to make my son feel that way?' and they should explain their point of view to him, then i'd bet he'd understand. Instead they're too into trying to explain why they're right because his sister was better or because he sucks at something so they gave up on him. That in itself is a messed up way of thinking also because what kind of mother "empties her heart" about her son's future? That will OBVIOUSLY bring down his morale. Also its clear the sister tries to act nice and all for the cameras, but she isn't. She said "who are you to make MY mother thin" instead of OUR or just mother, she clearly is possessive maybe even jealous of Byeongjun's carefree life and his dream-driven vision. As an older sister let me just say that it gets one NOWHERE to be jealous of their siblings. Nowhere.
officialkpopfan I noticed that too, "my mother". His family.... is really good at talking. They were /almost/ able to make the hosts and audience dismiss the sons concerns as overreacting or complaining. Till the end they wouldn't really acknowledge his actual concerns: that he feels alienated and unloved by his family and feels like his dream is being invalidated. For this concern, it's not really the actions of his family, but their complete unwillingness to try and understand or support him. They just wouldn't budge in their way of thinking! To me, it almost seemed like all the excuses and defenses they had to make him look like an "unreliable narrator", like taking him to the amusement park every day or not pressuring him about grades, were little compromises the mom chose to make in exchange for him being the type of son they want. It didn't seem like she did it out of love, but more like a favor that acrues a lot of interest and now she's asking for payment. Like they obviously see and treat him as the odd duck. They don't understand him, and that naturally makes them resent him a little, and only until he makes something of himself will they see him as someone valuable and deserving of recognition and validation. Otherwise, I feel like they'll never be on the same page. There's always going to be that disconnect and distance and feeling like he doesn't fit in with his own family.
He's such a bright and talented kid. I believe he's going to become someone great with a very rich and interesting life full of dreams. Keep dreaming, Byeongjunie!

What a bad man to be married to. I feel so bad for this lady. She strikes me as someone who would not curse unless provoked. I would not stay with him. Like her I am married to a man 4 years younger and I had 4 miscarriages and 2 children in my forties. My husband treats me with so much love and respect. We would never treat each other like this!
Its so sad to think that she could get a divorce because she already waited so long to have a child with someone she loves and then she would have to find someone else to marry at her age. Many people see a child as baggage, so it would be harder for her to remarry after all :(

I'm so upset that I'm in literal tears. The second concern seems funny to everyone while I'm here crying because it feels bad enough for the boy to say that 'they could've been a happy family of three'. That's a very hard thing to say and despite his personality being bright and funny, he must've thought a lot about being on this show.
The whole family clearly does not understand the poor boy. He is being treated very differently and unfairly. It's very upsetting. His mom doesn't seem to notice that she shouldn't love him because of his grades.
What the fuck is "I love him despite his bad grades"? A mom should never be like that. So upsetting.

Wow!! 🤩 Byeong Jun is very talented and an extremely good dancer!! I think he will actually make it big!! As a parade director, professional dancer or to actually become famous that could lead him to be an actor or drama producer, or a stage director etc. I hope he does fulfil his dreams!! The husband in the first concern isn’t just disrespectful he’s abusive. He swears and insults his wife calling her a prick and a whore. That’s verbal abuse and domestic violence. The wife should really seek counselling and leave him if she can. I feel so bad for her, you can see that she’s suffered a lot from their relationship.

For me the most concerning one was the second one. He's a bright kid but I know he's hurting inside. They say it's not a worry but the things they said to him even hurt me. I know what's it like to believe in achieving your dream only to have it stomped on by family. It really hurts his self esteem if they're constantly gonna criticize him for small things, he's a sensitive kid meaning they should take better care of him.
The way they said things that hurt, might not mean anything to them but to their son it means so much. They're just lucky their son didn't rebel against them and he is still a happy-go-lucky kid. Plus they gotta treat his sister and him the same and to not favor either.
