But you have a baby needing fed every 2-4 hours and is literally helpless with all their basic needs PLUS exercising, training, playing, and cleaning up for a puppy? No shame on anyone who doesn't want both those responsibilities at once. Waiting til the kid is older is fine.
My sister tried to do a puppy and her first baby at the same time. Now she's got 4 kids and a full grown German Shepherd who has proven herself immortal by eating (and subsequently being rushed to the vet) literally everything she can get herself into. Wait until the baby's older, then get the puppy. Your energy reserves will thank you for it.
