It was the three-month mark since the stay at home order was placed. I was supposed to have been in Bali for my best friend's wedding, but obviously, that didn't happen. Work hasn’t stopped being busy, and I was just so exhausted. So I took two days off to do anything that isn’t work.
I decided to go to Joshua Tree even though it is basically the middle of summer (DO NOT recommend camping in the summertime).
Side note: I have not shopped at Walmart in YEARS due to their gross use of prison labor, but they were the only place with everything I needed last minute. I do not condone them. If you have more time please go to your local sports equipment/camping store! I will be linking Amazon alternatives below due to stay at home orders.
- Mosquito net for my sunroof: amzn.to/383YWUq, I cracked it open at night for ventilation and put the net over so no bugs got in while I slept.
- 2 Gallons of water: Barely finished one gallon, but extra water is always a must
- Luci solar lamps: amzn.to/38gShXj, my FAVORITE purchase out of all of the equipment. It was so easy to charge and lasted all night. It’s great.
- Wet wipes!
- Battery-powered fan:amzn.to/2YAnCko , lifesaver, or else I would’ve melted. It doesn't need any outlets, just D batteries!
- Headlamp: amzn.to/2YDA4Qw , first-time headlamp owner and I’m fully onboard the hype
- Windshield reflector: amzn.to/2ZsFAoj , I never used one before, but now that I have it from the trip I’ve been using it whenever I’m parking outdoors or when I’m at the beach!

so cool! im going there this weekend, what are the names of the trails or hikes you were able to take your pup on?
Hi Jess! Hope I wasn't too late. Unfortunately, most of the trails are not pup-friendly, but the campsites have rock piles that you can explore if your pup is up for it :) There is also a very nice garden behind the Joshua Tree Visitor's Center that I believe is dog friendly! Have the most fun!!
Hi! Just wanted to ask if it's okay if I can bring my 3 year old German shorthaired pointer? Hes hyper and was wondering if it's safe to hike with him?🤗
Hi! Hmm I read that dogs aren't allowed on any hiking trails to ensure that the wildlife is unaffected. I know he's allowed within the camping grounds and the roads though :)

He's a Coton De Tulear! :)
i just noticed that u don't show much of the surroundings. Watching a video with more beautiful scenery would be nice.
