I really enjoyed this, I haven't done anything with the castle. I have the "Spring Cleaning" mod that lets you get rid of pretty much anything in game, litter, paper, reeds, bushes, things that the game doesn't usually let you scrap. The Alt Settlements and Settlements Expanded are great mods. Have you considered the Greenhouse Snap & Build it would look great attached to this castle.

Final Render I have three other mods I use, it doesn't effect much apart from Sanctuary , "Patch Job", "Paint That House" and "Pre-Apocalyptic Walls" basically those three mods restore the houses to a better condition, Not completely perfect but the bookcases are restored, the floors in the houses are clear and the roof's have no holes in them.
What I do with the castle gaps is: fill the gaps with foundations to get the spacing right and then replace some of them (I use the warehouse pieces) with wood and steel scrap walls and ceilings. This makes shacks that are part of the wall that fill up up the gaps and lead up to the ramparts. I use them for armories and such. It makes for a nice and scrappy look.
In the vanilla game, I used tge same trick for those walls, but I placed stairs next to the topmost foundation so it went down exactly enough to place another foundation underneath. After that, the foundations snap to others on the same plane.
Great job dude. Really entertaining just watching the video. I also liked your Boston Airport build. Very creative and inspiring. Would love to build that myself. Functional
Ha! The first time I like my own from my first go even better. Instead of artillery on the 5 corners I have built defensive towers in each. The ones facing the sea don't have that many turrets, the three facing land have a lot. And then, due to the way I did the main quest, the need for using those never arose. Thankfully there is also a mod where you can initiate the "Defend the castle" quest and it was the last thing I did as part of my LP. While I did use mods they are only for the decorative stuff and I didn't cheat for resources either.
love the idea and commented on a older video say to do Alcatraz on special island and not seeing later that you already built a hard build there but in the future for a small build please do outpost zumonjia if I spelled that right ,you can turn it into a radio station or something ,you have a smart head so u can think of something
Actually the pool table is in vanilla, which really confused me since there were many other models I would have preferred to have had, but it did make your settlements seem more friendly
You play on PC but one of the reasons wasteland workshop is coming out is because the consoles don't have mods or commands and I didnt see the video of the fo3 city until after I commented
Nice video! There is a mod i use in which you can use shop registers and if you place them anywhere they work as normal shops/clinics, maybe you could have used that to make something like a custom bar and a clinic :)

IF you still buidling settlements, i recomend download the Tina Cookieapocalipse by DDProductions. You can build pilons that gives 250 wireless power to you settlement. Its pretty convenient.
Thanks for the idea to make a room off of the castle I made a sleeping area with a tv a laser musket on the wall 5 beds and a radio and flags and paintings

A better solution to repairing the castle is to use the mod that adds additional concrete textures. It gives you about 6 additional textures for all the concrete walls, one of them is stone. I built a 4 season store(military version of a quick stop store) in the small wall hole, I even had a bed area above the store for the vendor. In the large wall hole i made a 4 by 4 greeting area for visitors to pass through security. I also put bramenn feeders and a fire pit outside for the traveling traders. On the ground floor I made off8ces like the chow hall, hospital, weapons armory, etc... I then used the mod to build a second floor for barracks and rec area. I put food plots as the roof of the second floor with stairs leading up to it. I fenced the top area (after I fell off once, lol) and put mortar on the 5 corners. I also built a tower around the radio antenna, first floor was the radio, second floor was an office area, third floor was a printing area, fourth floor was a CNC, Fifth floor was my bedroom suite, sixth floor was a working lighthouse made from light boxes accesed by a secondary exterior stair from the fourth floor. The lighthouse was a bear to place using the pillar method. It took more than a few tries to get it placed correctly. As a result I had all my things inside or on top of the walls an the center was a mostly open parade ground. It was expanded to 3 floors if you count the food plots on the roof as an additional floor.
The cap on settlers is 10 plus your charisma. So if you have 11 charisma, you can have 21 people come in, and then with the right gear and buffs, you can start migrating people from other settlements to get many more settlers.
In my opinion I've seen better building to be honest. I will repeat it is only just my opinion however I'd advise you add more mods so the buildings and decorations have more variety. I think evilviking13 has the whole building thing nailed down, he just seems to add more detail to the point where it seems like he could of actually designed parts of the game. None the less your vids are still very entertaining and interesting to watch keep up the good work :)

I in fact made a museum out of that area where the bar is it has a T-51 power armor colored white because Anchorage a Jukebox, TV, some paintings Minuteman statue, pre-war American flag shit the whole thing that has something to do with pre-war America even a little bit to do with the Minutemen called the "museum of pre-war America and the Minutemen" this was all done with only vanilla assets so mods no console just base game with DLC

It looks great! but I do have problems with the walls none of them will fit and I don't know how to use the mods lol you've done a great job!!!

you know...that castle shape is original from our city's old Oradea Fortress from Romania-Bihor
Actually it was a very common shape for a fort I believe it's called a star fort
With the new DLC Wasteland Workshop, you'll actually get planters so you won't need the mod anymore :3.
The placement of food is still so shit though, I stick with the modded planters
