Amazing! Honestly, I did not expect much change, but I gave it a go. It stopped the pain, instantly! Because I had no medical tape, I used electrical tape. That might not be for everyone though. Can't thank you enough!
I’m having ankle pain. My doctor still needs some better X-rays but she thinks I might have a small osteophyte with probable talar breaking. I was told that an osteophyte is a bone spur but what is talar breaking
A talar breaking would be a fracture of your talus, which is the bone at the top of your foot that sits just under your shin/tibia, where your tibia and fibula meet.
Thanks, Joey! That's a great question about where to find the tape... you should still be able to find it at most drug stores, or you can always go with my favorite: Amazon :-)
No, this is low-dye taping. In this video, I'm using standard athletic tape, but you can also use McConnell tape as well (it's just harder to get off your skin). Kinesio tape wouldn't work very well for this technique, as you want the tape to be rigid (k-tape is stretchy). However, there are a lot of excellent k-taping techniques!
Nice technique! Better yet, you have great Therapist-Patient interaction; casual, professional, and honest. (Signed, fellow PT)
Thank you, Colin! I appreciate your positive feedback :-) Have a great day, sir!
Im a podiatry student and this video was really helpful thanks!

Fantastic work! I'm glad I found your vid!

I'm happy to hear that it helped, even with electrical tape! Way to improvise :-)

You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
I have Achilles tendonitis so full size shoe other than boots are out,
Yes, you definitely don't want your shoe rubbing on the tendon while it's inflamed! Have you already started treatment?
great video. where is the best place to find this tape if you are in quarantine?

Low 'Dye' - Dye is after the podiatrist who developed the technique - :)
For so many years, I had no idea why it was called that... and then it all made sense! Thanks for watching :-)
