They were invited back, but Claire was raising a newborn at the time of 24's filming so she had her priorities straight. I think Brook was doing a hosting gig at that time too.
These were the days that they were still having Non-Elimination Legs to get 2nd chances and stay on that race. But in the New School Amazing Race, No More Non-Elimination Legs and replaced it with Mega-Leg which I am more in favor of, and you have to keep on racing as much as you can to avoid elimination. And it seems that 13 teams would be the New Norm in the New School Amazing Race.
