I feel that many of Yonezu's works take time to understand if one does not know Japanese literary works. Japanese people can easily recognize "Campanella" as a work by Kenji Miyazawa, but foreigners don't understand it.

"Campanella" is a song based on the novel "Night on the Galactic Railway" by Kenji Miyazawa.
This song was written from the perspective of Zanelli, a supporting character.
Zanelli was a bully and bullied the main character.
On the day of the summer festival, Zanelli slips and drowns while fooling around in the river, and the protagonist's best friend Campanella saves him.
And then Campanella died.
The words ``you'' and ``that person'' appear in the song, and ``you'' refers to Campanella, and ``that person'' refers to the main character.

If you react more to him in the future i would like to recommend some baladish songs and some weirder ones.
Spinning Globe (baladish) - this one was compossed for the last movie of Miyazaki "the boy and the heron" i really like the vibe and lyrics.
Moongazing (baladish) - this one was compossed for the game final fantasy 16 (i think) and has some great vocals and lyrics.
Mad head love (weird funny vibe) - i really don't know why no one reacts to this song and the next.
Go go yuureisen (similar vibe to mad head love) - i think i already recommended the live version of this one, i don't really understand the lyrics but the guitar is really weird yet catchy.
