Speaking of the 11:11:11:11:11:11 thing, here's a good one for you: Last night at 9:21 p.m., it was the 21st minute, of the 21st hour, of the 21st day, of the 21st week, of the 21st year, of the 21st century 😎
You are the poster boy for hip surgery………seriously, it’s amazing how you are not handicapped in any way by your previous surgeries. That “free hike” without being attached to the cable……..I just closed my eyes. You are crazy but in a good way! Thanks for making such great videos!
Wine glass arch looked like a side view of a dog scratching under his chin and the second arch looked like a couple kissing. Sweet. Thanks Tristan- even at 50 years younger- I wouldn't have considered climbing the places you take us. May God bless & safe journeys 😘😘for your lovely wife
I love that you said the adventure comes first and filming is secondary. Your priorities are life and happiness, not perfection videoing your life and adventures. You’re making videos for people to watch for free, they aren’t paying $15 each to watch on a big screen in the theater or buying the video for their personal library. Keep doing what you’re doing and keep your priorities in check. Much love , admiration and respect, Jen from Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
I noped all the way through your shot of you walking on that ledge, while leaning all the way to the left, just in case. That is a beautiful hike that I will never do. Glad I can see it through your video!!
Every day that the Lord gives us is a gift love your videos, many other places that you go to I cannot go, so thank you for taking me along and keep up the great work. You definitely have a gift and are blessed.
In my teens and early 20s I did a lot of rock climbing mostly in Yosemite. I still remember climbing royal arches sleeping at the very top. Next morning coming down the goalie just before Washington column. All three of us were hooked up to a chock held between two rocks. The chalk sliped. We were all hanging on by her fingernails if that chalk pop all three of us would’ve fallen thousand feet to our death. I still wake up with nightmares. Anyway I did climb a three day route on the northwest base of half down with another guy that was a lot smarter than this group. I have done 5.14 D when I was in my youth and a lot stronger. I can’t get myself to sell my climbing gear. Just watching you do this brings a little Feeling of fear. Keep up the good work. When I get my tesla Cybertruck truck maybe I’ll see you on the road.
Thanks for taking us with you on your climb, something most of us would never do, but can live it through you. Sorry about the camera, hope the replacement works out without too much expense.
Outrageously wonderful episode!! I'm sorry for your hassles, but for viewers, I think it's safe to say, mishaps just make the adventure that much more real. What a smooth and glorious climb.
I love seeing you climb. I hear you talking about the mountains you've climbed, and it's good to see recent footage. You're multi-gifted for sure...and I don't mind seeing the clips where you've dropped your camera. It's reality and I appreciate that. As challenging as this trip was, you gave us some great content. Thank you Tristan.
I even enjoy how your share the disappointments associated with your adventures. Keeps things real and authentic. And you handle the upsets pretty well. I feel like I’m getting to know you and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future,
"Filming is secondary" Thats good man. I think a lot of people forget what they are going out for and get obsessed with recording EVERRYYTHING. Just have fun.
I can certainly see why some people may get lightheaded watching you climb those rocks, on top of that, having read in the title about equipment problems, I was positive the problems were involving the carabiners or ropes or something like that... it was great to see it was the camera and not the climbing gear that had problems. Until I understood that difference I was sweating!!!!!!! Very glad you are okay and still amazed you can make it look as easy as a walk in the park, you must have been a goat in another life!!! Thank you for the EXCELLENT video!!!!!!
Thanks again, fantastic video! From drone to your climb, it was all enjoyable & certainly an eyeful! The 1 portion of the climb; between the cable and the rope, gave me pause ~
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the experience of this video ! Once again you did not cease to amaze me. I’m a Midwesterner and although I grew up with fishing, camping, a small amount of hunting. My dad and uncles were from Kentucky and definitely outdoor sports minded. However, their experiences were more related to hunter/gatherer skills. To be able to conquer rock climbing/hiking such as you do is totally amazing. I love the way your love and excitement, emotions of gratification clearly show on the footage. Thank you so much for what you give us on your channel !
I'm sorry about the issues you had this trip. If I were rich, I would buy you another new camera. You shoot the most beautiful scenery and take the most fabulous adventures! Safe travels.
Wow! This was one of your best yet...just everything about it. Sorry your camera got destroyed, though. Everything about this vid was just so good. You are my #1 choice of youtube content....your vids have such great substance to them...no silly fluff like so many, and you take us all to such great places and views that we would never see otherwise. So exciting and satisfying that you are almost to 100k subscribers...as far as I am concerned, you should be at 500k.....no one is doing what you’re doing. Revere Overland is sorta like your channel, but his is about driving/overlanding to places, not all the variety of adventure that you offer....hiking, climbing, kayaking, etc.
Tristan, I didn't think it was possible, but you out did yourself, even with technical issues! Great video and views especially with the drone. And once again, you make climbing look easy! Thanks for taking me along. I love it!
I very much agree you should not get too preoccupied with getting great video recordings, it can cross a line that interferes with the sense of a real experience
This is a great video.. it’s important to remember that this is life. It’s not easy to find a perfect day. Love the videos when you’re on the trail and finding summits. Be safe
Some days just don't work out. But, as I like to say, there's no story in "Everything went as planned." If it's any condolence, I really enjoy the camera tip overs. Yeah, I'm a child, but I'm ok with it. Safe travels Tristan.
During the first part of this video, the mother in me said “OMG! What are you doing? Do you know how dangerous this is???? You must be out of your mind!” Then, after you talked about your equipment failures and your tribulations during this trip, the other mother in me said “OMG! I’m so sorry! Can I make you breakfast?” 🤣 Great video, Tristan!
This one freaked me out a little. Cassie, at times like this, must just cover her eyes and shake her head when she sees where you've been. 🤦♀️ Very cool, but very technical looking!
Tripod support. Attach a light net/webbing between the legs so when legs are out it is taught then place a softball size rock in middle of netting. Fast, light.
When I got laid-off from Northrop years ago I hit the highway in my van through 9 western states up to Canada. Yellowstone, Yosemite, Glacier (and it's awesome "going to the sun road") were great, but it's the five parks in southern Utah that stick the most in my memory.
Thank you! This video is another great one! I’m really enjoying all your videos. I’m hoping to come to Utah, someday and don’t think I’ll get to Moab, so this is especially nice for me. You make climbing look simple and easy, but it isn’t my heart is still in my gut, from your climbs. Too bad it was so windy! I commend your efforts to still make a video under terrible conditions. I appreciate what you do for us!!! Gail from Michigan
Another one of my favorite regions. Know what you mean about things not always going as expected. You always look back at these (mis)adventures and laugh though. I know I do. Thanks for the videos.
I saw the last tip over of camera, I knew it was coming...haha, said that's gunna hurt. Face plant. Yeowww. Reading comments you sure did bring so much joy to folks and that's a huge pay off in my book! I viewed the beaver dam city fishing first and part way this one my dog demanded my attention for her 3rd morning walk...she's a morning puppy. Hopefully my vehicle parts will arrive Tuesday so we (Dog and I) can get up in the Southern Appalachians... Well done again Tristan! Top shelf!
It looks like that last overlook was across the canyon from Pot Ash road and the Shaffer Trail. Neat place. Thanks for sharing. Loving your adventures. Your videos are really grinding on me to make a trip back out there.
I always look at it this way, if you go somewhere and you can return home then it is a good trip. Yes, it is a bummer losing a camera (I just lost my Canon 17-40mm lens on my last trip.....seems the concrete floor is tougher than the lens) but you have to be ever so thankful that it was the camera and not your vehicle, or worse yet, a serious injury. That area of the country is the best part of this country and I want to thank you for showing it in all its glory.
Your trip to Utah was so similar to mine, this year. I did the same and headed home earlier than expected. You still got in some great adventures, and it was rad seeing you back at a place that brings you fond memories.
Back in the mid 70's , it was Castle Rock, never heard it called Castleton Rock or tower. The Jailhouse Rock legend of the sheriff keeping prisoners in there was the same then too. Yes it is Jail Rock on maps but stories have it that in memory of Elvis, people thought it was cool to add the "house" to the name. What a great video, definitely brought back some memories. I still think this is more beautiful than the Grand Canyon.
There may be a hiking group that places anchors on popular routes, or some climbers, placing anchors is often done by individuals who want to proving a safe route just to encourage the sport.
We had bad luck on a trip to Big Bend NP. So much went wrong but we still had a good time. We were all safe and insurance covered the mishaps. Thank you for sharing, Tristan! 🤠
Major pucker factor watching this video! Reminded me of my mountain bike adventure to Moab 20ish years ago. Car camped off the road to Gemini Bridges. What a trip!
Thank you for sharing! I appreciate all the effort that went into making these past 2 videos. I used to do stuff like you, traveling alone and enjoying nature, off the beaten path. I’m jealous and I wanna do these places you’ve went on the past couple videos. Sorry about your camera and the small misfortunes. All I can say is that it is part of traveling. When you look back on these challenges in the future, it may be something that made these trips memorable. Best of luck, I’m looking forward to your next adventures!
Sorry you had so many issues on this trip. I like that you include your camera falling over! It's a bit of comic relief in a sometimes intense watch of you climbing! I also appreciate your honesty about the sometimes grueling realities of filming. Thank you for what you do and taking us on your adventures...many of which I will never do!
love your explanations! not to mention all these great places especially this Utah series! so excited that my yearly off work vacation(semi retirement) for 3 months is only weeks away
Wonderful video Tristan! Jail Rock was incredible!! Really identified with you at the end of your video when you decided to go home early because of your equipment issues--sometimes that's all you can do.
Man it's so hard to see the scale of it all until you're right next to it. When you said 200-300 feet, I thought no way. Until I saw you walking at the base. I can't wait to get out there, even though I think it might blow my mind to smithereens. 🤣 Thanks for all you do and share. 😊
Thanks for sharing more beautiful footage and useful/interesting information about the places you go. I love that you said your videos are about the adventure first. I'm lucky enough to live in Utah and am able to take advantage of the great outdoors Utah offers. You know how to show the beauty of anyplace you visit but your Utah videos make my soul extra happy.
Even with everything not being perfect, I really enjoyed this adventure. I was a bit nervous for yo on the side of the cliff. Thank you for sharing this with us!
I love love love the scenery and your calmness when things go wrong. You're very level-headed. Thank-you for your hard work. oh, and I don't like rock climbing never will but do not mind someone else doing it. It looked easy 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
I hope you mention that’s not proper climbing gear, specially using carabiners on the most vertical ropes where you should be using a Prusik knot or an ascender. The carabiners will be of no use if you were to fall
Thanks for watching! We should be at 100k subscribers this time next month! 🎉 -Tristan
Yeah👍, hit that thumbs up before I even see the video😁
@@Lily-cw4kk Thanks Lily!
@@Lily-cw4kk me, too...to make I don’t forget to
You need a climbing partner/crew for more than one reason :-) B safe.
I thought for sure I had been to that one, turns out I went here: goo.gl/maps/sYewj12vJwEPa42fA

Sounds like a 21 Savage intro
Whoa!
My daughter got married on Friday. Pretty Cool!
And 21 was the age I declared I'd lose my virginity. Unfortunately it took me another 6 years.
Wow dude you might try to chill out , how long were you aware of that before it happened ? Either way congratulations 🎉 that's special.
You are the poster boy for hip surgery………seriously, it’s amazing how you are not handicapped in any way by your previous surgeries. That “free hike” without being attached to the cable……..I just closed my eyes. You are crazy but in a good way! Thanks for making such great videos!
"I have a helmet on". Very assuring. But cliff like that still scares me to the bones.
Thanks for watching!
Like an inch of styrofoam inside a tin hat is any help when he falls half a mile bouncing off a dozen rock outcroppings on the way down.

Thanks for courting danger so we "also rans" can enjoy your efforts of presenting beautiful places we wouldn't attempt!
A trip full of life stuff. It happens. Oh that wind - is part of what shaped that country. 🌬
Every day that the Lord gives us is a gift love your videos, many other places that you go to I cannot go, so thank you for taking me along and keep up the great work. You definitely have a gift and are blessed.

What a smooth and glorious climb.
Bravo Living Bravely 👏 expertise at what you do and motivated too!🇺🇲🙏🌍🕊🇨🇦💓
Makes my knees weak but I love it. Amazing that the/a community of climbers leaves assistance. ??
I appreciate your skill of capturing the grandeur of the landscape. Thank you.

Thank you, the canyons the 360 views were immense. The close ups of the rock chimney scaling needed care. Wonderful commentary 🌟🌟👏
I’M STOKED THAT YOU SHOWED YOUR CLIMB. IT BROUGHT BACK MANY THRILLING OUTDOOR ADVENTURES. YOU GOT BALLS!
And talent.
i didn't know if i could say that, but i agree, BIG ONES!!
Dropping the camera just added to the suspense 👌
I even enjoy how your share the disappointments associated with your adventures. Keeps things real and authentic. And you handle the upsets pretty well. I feel like I’m getting to know you and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future,
"Filming is secondary" Thats good man. I think a lot of people forget what they are going out for and get obsessed with recording EVERRYYTHING. Just have fun.
Well it helps to be gifted with hiking and climbing ability to see these geological formations, rocks and mountain tops in Moab. Thanks for sharing.
I can certainly see why some people may get lightheaded watching you climb those rocks, on top of that, having read in the title about equipment problems, I was positive the problems were involving the carabiners or ropes or something like that... it was great to see it was the camera and not the climbing gear that had problems. Glad you are still able to smile even when riled up!
My favorite line "that wasn't too bad"
The most important thing about your day minus the camera, the frig .. Tristan you did you adventure ( metoo) and you are ok !!!
watch out for eagles' nests because they will attack you 😁👍 Nice so cool video
Thanks again, fantastic video! From drone to your climb, it was all enjoyable & certainly an eyeful!
The 1 portion of the climb; between the cable and the rope, gave me pause ~
I was a couple videos behind. Good to catch up tonight... an hour plus well spent!
I really liked the time-lapse return trip. Much better than the normal method of not filming the return trip. Please do that some more.
That rock is wild. And the hole "jail" wow.
It's amazing how huge they are up close. Hard to imagine how high they are from a distance.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the experience of this video ! Once again you did not cease to amaze me. I’m a Midwesterner and although I grew up with fishing, camping, a small amount of hunting. Ooof I don’t normally get scared watching these but that cliff had me 😳😳😳
I ❤ camera crashes!
Your videos just keep getting better and better
Thanks Lin!
It's nice to know others have equipment issues.
Superman strikes again! wow. SO much fun for a viewer, even when not so much fun for you!
Glad you got home safe.
I do enjoy hearing the good and the "sucky" parts. It keeps it real. So enjoy your videos. Cheers from Alberta Canada
Tristan, I didn't think it was possible, but you out did yourself, even with technical issues! Great video and views especially with the drone. And once again, you make climbing look easy! Thanks for taking me along. I love it!
Love the long video length 👍
i can't imagine how i would breathe making this climb! just watching takes my breath away.
Great video. Always be safe!
Very impressive ! Thank you so much for all your hard work, I really enjoy your videos !
I very much agree you should not get too preoccupied with getting great video recordings, it can cross a line that interferes with the sense of a real experience
Wonderful video as always! Sorry about all the mechanical issues....love how you keep it real! Happy Trails!
Beautiful scenery! Nerve racking and- Who installed the lines, without the line for safety? Hats off to you, this is amazing
This is a great video.. it’s important to remember that this is life. It’s not easy to find a perfect day. Love the videos when you’re on the trail and finding summits.
Be safe
Some days just don't work out. But, as I like to say, there's no story in "Everything went as planned."
If it's any condolence, I really enjoy the camera tip overs. Yeah, I'm a child, but I'm ok with it. Safe travels Tristan.
Me too I chuckle when the camera falls over, except this time, I gasped and knew it wasnt good.
During the first part of this video, the mother in me said “OMG! What are you doing? Do you know how dangerous this is???? You must be out of your mind!” Then, after you talked about your equipment failures and your tribulations during this trip, the other mother in me said “OMG! I’m so sorry! That's what I was thinking. He already makes slingy things for car camping. Inconvienent or not, a dead camera doesn't help make a story.
When I got laid-off from Northrop years ago I hit the highway in my van through 9 western states up to Canada. Yellowstone, Yosemite, Glacier (and it's awesome "going to the sun road") were great, but it's the five parks in southern Utah that stick the most in my memory.
Your drone footage just gets better and better. Great video!
The drone footage in this one wasn't great due to the wind. It definitely jostled the drone around!
Thanks for another adventure! As a retiree you are taking me to places I have never been. Love it!
I am not a technical climber, but I like hiking. Living in Colorado, I have been to these areas before numerous times and I never get tired of it.
That's definitely a cliffhanger!!!
This us not the worst heights video you have done!!
I enjoyed the Wineglass Arch, the Keyhole Arch and Jail Rock! It’s a beautiful rock! Thank you Tristan!❤️😀🇺🇸🌏🚙
Love the 11-11-11. 11:11 11❣️
Great trip Tristan, That was an awesome climb. The positives out weigh the negatives by allot.Great video.
I can’t even imagine how much backtracking you have to do to get the shots you do. You are amazing.
Top shelf!
Moment of self reflection and appreciation..........DARN WIND!
It looks like that last overlook was across the canyon from Pot Ash road and the Shaffer Trail. Neat place. Thanks for sharing. Loving your adventures. Your videos are really grinding on me to make a trip back out there.
Yep, it was above the Shafer Trail, basically. It's above Hurrah Pass. Thanks for watching!
I chuckle every time I 🤣 see the camera fall!
Looked like great trip to me. I enjoy watching all your videos thank you for sharing your adventures with us! Can't wait to see what's next!
Your trip to Utah was so similar to mine, this year. I did the same and headed home earlier than expected. You still got in some great adventures, and it was rad seeing you back at a place that brings you fond memories.
Thanks for sharing this with us. I love Moab! I have not been there since 1997. This brought back wonderful memories.
The fun you have on your adventures is contagious.
Thank you for sharing your amazing adventures!
Back in the mid 70's , it was Castle Rock, never heard it called Castleton Rock or tower. The Jailhouse Rock legend of the sheriff keeping prisoners in there was the same then too. I still think this is more beautiful than the Grand Canyon.
A great video to end a terrific trip. Really enjoy the hike-scramble-viewpoint format. Keep 'em coming.
Wow, that was quite a "hike." Who puts those anchors up there in the first place? Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
There may be a hiking group that places anchors on popular routes, or some climbers, placing anchors is often done by individuals who want to proving a safe route just to encourage the sport.
Sorry about all the gear drama and it is nice to see how you can still smile! Thanks for posting, the view from that summit is amazing!
Probably my most favorite place on the planet, so many great memories here. Great climb, Tristan!
We had bad luck on a trip to Big Bend NP. So much went wrong but we still had a good time. We were all safe and insurance covered the mishaps. Thank you for sharing, Tristan! 🤠

Nice to see some more technical stuff. Sorry about the equipment. The views were amazing! I've never seen Jail Rock. Thanks!
No crowds here.a real wilderness experience.beauiffily land
What wonderful adventures, I love the Jail rock (pit) thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you for Sharing! Awesome landscapes ❤ safe travels my friend
Wow!!! You rock Tristan.!! I love this. Thanks again awesome video .
@26:43± nice oversize shadow on jailhouse rock drone view, planned of course!

I hope you mention that’s not proper climbing gear, specially using carabiners on the most vertical ropes where you should be using a Prusik knot or an ascender. The carabiners will be of no use if you were to fall
Wow, that was incredible! Thanks for filming it!
