She's a mean-looking machine - in that opening pic - Clan-casual and ready to rumble. And stee-rike like the serpent of its original namesake. “Dragonfly” is good too, for the same reason it was given that designation.
“D” for death and as a personal choice of variant types, of course including the “E”. A lot of close-combat versions made out of the base Viper-Dragonfly. They sound like a good mix to deploy in decidedly urban battle zone. The “J” and the “K' both also might be interesting to give test drives to.
Using this snout-and-double-uppercut 'Mech's speed against it and closing the distance seems like a reliable general tactic for survivial in engagements against it. Having truly spanned the alphabet of variants 'til its end, GDN, it's proven to be a usefully adaptable BattleMech. Thanks for covering it, as another lore venture into BattleTech. Until next week's return trip, be well and have an awesome rest of the week.

When I first encountered the Clans on Table Top, the first thing I ran into was this thing! I believe it was the Prime Configuration.
    This was back in 1994.
My Warhammer 6R lost most of its armor on the left side and only defeated the Dragonfly because I slammed my right leg into its legs, and hit with all my machine guns and small lasers.
When I finished the game, I had a barely functioning Mech.
This emphasized how much more powerful Clan Technology was over the Inner Sphere. If he had stayed at range, I would have flatly lost.

I remember running around with this in Mechwarrior 3, was fun setting a config with an array of small lasers and spamming chain-fire while going in circles. lol

Oh boy I feel the need for speed
I remember getting my hands on this bad boy "I" like the viper dragonfly because it's good speed and decent armor, it's like the way-cooler version of Ed 209 brother, oh man Fletcher did the viper right, the color scheme I would have had purple and black
Giving the guns a golden color,
And configuration B would be up my alley with a sniper built weapon small lasers and flamethrower and can get up close and nast and go long range
Yes a fine Mech definitely pay for a second one for a backup,"
    😃👍

I love these vids. Keep the Battletech stuff coming! Any chances you'll do more Battletech/Mechwarrior audiobooks? Not requesting, just inquiring.

Hey and thanks. No Battletech audiobooks are planned, though I'd personally like to do more. Unfortunately, that doesn't pay the bills.

It seems like a Clan evolution of the Crab almost. Being a bit lighter and an omni mech.

It's a pretty underwhelming design especially for a light medium scout mech. It's not terrible in the role, but way over costed for such a role
