Chelsea. Love your confidence in attacking difficult topics in the detail world, including tackling which pressure washer to use. I've learned several techniques from your work. Thank you for your dedication to this art, which at the end of the day car detailing is truly is --- an overlooked yet loved art.
I am using that same Ryobi with the Uberflex hose, MTM SGS35 gun and PF22.2 cannon. Terrific set up.
Thanks again for a wonderful review and video. This has been very helpful, since I'm in the process of evaluating pressure washers. Keep up the great work. Your reach is great and much appreciated.
Been debating on getting this one or the free works thanks for your input on this one it’s appreciated! Prayers for continued success
I use the 1600psi Ryobi and have had 0 issues with it. Excellent review!!!!
Thanks for the review been shopping for the right pressure washer for car detail and this is the one !
Compact and easy to move around = 🏅 plus ryobi stands behind their products with a no hassle guarantee. Great video.
Great review! Very practical for my use as a homeowner for general cleaning and storage! 5 stars!
Glad to hear they've fixed the issues with the VE52. Just yesterday ordered an uberflex hose and mckillans gun and wand and the 1.1 mm orifice for the foam cannon. The active is on my short list of next items.
Great review Chelsea! I have the ryobi 1600psi/1.2 gpm. Just a weekend warrior and detail a little as a side hustle. Been using it for over 3 year with no problems.
Very nice video. May look in to get one of those power washers. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you Love your great videos always a pleasure. U always make my day. Keep up the awesome work. :).
I greatly appreciate your reviews Chelsea. I bought my SPX3000 thanks to your input. It's funny, I enjoy having a pressure washer for detailing but it's not a deal breaker for me if it dies. There's plenty of times I just bust out the garden hose and the Gilmour foam gun. 👊😁
Great video really needed a video like this!!
I've been detailing for almost 2 years and I've learned that most of the RUclips Detailers (including me) prefer a higher GPM and less PSI. 1100/1200 should be enough pressure and that can allow your GPM's to go up for more rinsing power. I have the Ryobi 1800/1.2 and it does very well. However, I use a 45 degree tip with a bigger orifice to allow less pressure and more GPM. I use to think it was all about PSI. Great video as always Chelsea.
What orifice did you use with the 40* nozzle? Looking to pick one up for mine for car washes.
Great review 👍 I'm a ryobi guy for the fact that if it breaks you can replace it no questions asked.

Great review!👍🏼
Good info thx. Pressure washer is the next piece of equipment in the arsenal. I have other Ryobi tools including the excellent cordless 10' orbital. Shine on you crazy diamonds...
Great review!
I own the Active and I am my 2nd unit since the first one power button wouldn't stay in the on position. I don't do detail for a living but wash 2 cars each week. The great quality of the Active is that it can put out 1.8 GPM according to Matt at obsessed garage and no other cheap PW can do for the money. My current setup is om 3 shelf Luxor car that I can roll in out the garage with all my car wash stuff. When this dies moving up to AR Blue on the cart since that unit is more GPM's then Kranzle and pump is serviceable. Thanks for the update Chelsea.
Kudos on being efficient and tackling/filming two topics for your channel content from one session (10 month Ceramic Pro Sport Update & Active VE52/Ryobi 1900 update) if I'm seeing your creative editing correctly.
Good eye. 😉
The end t shirt slogan says it all. Chin up! And keep it clean.

Great review, Chelsea! I really love your videos.
Great video buddy tfs
Pretty cool lil electric pressure washer
Must be nice. I have the same active pressure washed and mine just straight up quit. Active told me basically good luck. I told them that your warranty says you will replace it. I got it in June of 21’ and already crapped out and horrible customer service in my opinion. Glad they were good to you.
I ordered an Active and it arrived used with hard water stains and grass. Pack it up and got the Ryobi.
Glad I found your channel. I’m going to get the same Uberflex hose. Did you need the 15mm to 14mm reducer like you did with your VE52?
I use the 1700 psi and 1.2gpm pressure washer for washing my cars and works great as well
I have had this for a couple years and what I find most frustrating is the soap dispenser does not come off to empty. Very inconvenient when you are finished and have some left in the tank
You should up your game to the Comet pressure washer next time Chelsea. It's only $599 on a few web sites (which yes is pricey, BUT, still an INCREDIBLE value. It's up near the Kranzle range of pressure washers....in performance anyway.....which are double the price. All the pressure washers you bought over the years, (Granted some were free replacements) but you could have easily bought a Kranzle by now and they last 25+ years with proper maintenance. But the Comet is middle of the road and for a business like the one you have at home would be a perfect solution. It's wall mounted, but, you also have 65 feet of hose so you can easily bring it outside and walk around any vehicle and have plenty of hose left over. And for $120 more, you get the upgraded "short gun" like you use as well as an MTM foam cannon and wands. It's one of the greatest deals in detailing for the quality of the machine you get. I believe they are made in Italy and they are really high end for the price. The performance is also up near the level of the high end washers. Not quite as high end as Kranzle, but getting very close to that range of pressure washers. Any at home enthusiast that really enjoys pressure washing their vehicle should really look at the Comet unit. Again, it's one of the best values for the money out there and will put a professional pressure washer in anybody's home. And the wall mount, along with the 65 foot hose makes it more like you are going to a drive through bay do it yourself type of car washes you can walk completely around your car wash place that people enjoy dropping all their quarters into. I knew I guy who owned a car wash like that. He said it was the easiest first million dollars he ever made! Love your content and honest reviews, opinions, and guidance based on your own experiences. Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you Chelsea another great video as always. Ive been fighting spending the money for a kranzle myself but with going through 2-3 power washers a yr, I wonder if I should just bite the bullet. What are your thoughts on the kranzle?
Many use it and love it. Read Obsessed Mobile Detailing comments above as he has one as well. I didnt have time to order anything and needed something asap hence why I went with this unit.
I have vert good longevity with AR blue clean / mid to higher grade prosumer units...With the things. you really get what you pay for with this Bic Flic low use unit s
Looks like you work well under pressure....😁
Im using the pressure plus 2000 psi 100 psi boost from Ryobi and it has a brushless pump it's so quite
Hello thanks for the video. Could you share the type of quick connect for the water from the wall hose to the inlet plug?
So far I didn't see how that soap equipment is used
U need should get a hose real for the Uber flex hose I got one from northern tool it has a carrying handle one of the best investments I’ve made for my detail buisness
Hey, I'm interested in buying this Ryobi, what adapter do I need to use it with a Uber hose? And what quick connect kit fits this specific setup? I'm a newbie thanks in advance!
Great video I'm starting a mobile detailing business out of lancaster pa do you have any advice? Please and thank you
So which one do you think is better overall?
I’m torn between the Ryobi 1900 and VE52. I like the 2.0 gpm flow. But don’t like problems. It sounds like you had plenty with yours.
Hey Chelsea love your videos! How is this holding up? Was thinking about picking this up.
Its holding up great! Thanks for the support
@@attention2detailswchelsea Thanks for the reply. I'm about an hour from ya in Jersey! Itching to start detailing but this weather has been no good. Can't wait to start my business on the side. The videos you and other people post are invaluable. Wishing you a great 2022!
I couldn’t help to notice your unique way about washing your jeep, rinse it first, then use foam cannon rinse again then use a bucket, water and soap with micro fiber towel and I will try that next time and see what kind of results I get her usually wash my car with the soap that I use with the canon gun
Whats the best electric pressure washer to remove the grime from a car ?
Thank you for making this video. Can you please tell me what size quick connect adapters this unit accepts?
I recently purchased a Sun Joe SPX 3000 but their customer support sucks. I can’t get a straight answer out of them so I’m just going to return the unit and get a ryobi.
I have links to everything I use in the video description box
Do you have a link for the bench step you r sitting on
I have a active ve52 I got on amazon and about to send back. I put m22x15 quick connects on it and it worked fine first few weeks but now it keeps pulsing. I have tried it with the 50 foot uberflex and the stock hose it will be fine for first 15 min or so then start doing that. And when you pull trigger it does not go away you have to turn it off and back on to get it to stop. I ha e a gas pressure washer so just switched back to that. I think ill be returning the ve 52 and find another electtic one to try.
I had the same problem but was sent a new one by them. Will test and share the update.
@@attention2detailswchelsea have you tested your new unit yet?
From reviews I've seen on ryobi. The 1600,1900 and 2000 psi units all share same motor and really out out same specs. Since I sent my ve52 back I'm looking at another electric pressure washer. I'm lookimg at sunjoe or ryobi trying to decide.
@@brandon32689 so far the 1900 is performing flawlessly. Still havent broken the new Active replacement out of the box as the Ryobi has been getting the job done impressively
@@attention2detailswchelsea I think I may go with the ryobi to. Can you tell thr water flow is not as much on the ryobi?
You use to have a sun joe right how does it compare?
What do you do for drying?
Would the Ryobi do well cleaning off black molded (aka dirty) concrete driveways you think?
With the right tip and cleaners sure
Hi Chelsea, can you give me the name of the song used during the washing portion @ 10:03? It reminds me of “ooyy - teenage lullaby”
Sorry its a youtube creator studio approved song and I can't find the info.
Hi! Sucks to see all these people coming and disliking your videos for nothing.... 🤦🏼♂️🙄
Hey what’s the decibel rating for this unit?
Do you think thick foam is needed to do a good job washing the car? I only use a garden hose with a foam gun attachment and cannot generate thick foam without a pressure washer. Therefore my snow foam is not really thick and runs off easy.
It's not needed but if you are looking for longer dwell time then thick foam will help you with that.
I have one quick question, what quick connects did you happen to use ? I’ve been looking at the Lowe’s pressure washer quick connect kit but I am not to sure if it’ll be compatible to this specific pressure washer.
Thank you in advance !
I have this exact pressure washer and got the quick connects from Lowe's and iit's a perfect fit.
@@alexmartinez4717 thanks man !!
How can a different hose and gun improve the power or outcome of this washer ?
Greatly with a smaller orifice. I switched to the MTM sprayer and foam cannon and get SUCH better foam
Active VE52 is no longer available is there any other way of finding one???
Chelsea my sunjoe is dying I think and I’m thinking of getting the active unit. I bought the uberflex hose which is 14mm connection but I was told the active is 15mm and won’t support the 14mm. Which hose did you use with your active unit?
All products I bought are linked in my video on my active unit
@@attention2detailswchelsea I’m trying to find the active unit video but don’t know which one it is.
Was wondering what type of soap you can use in this machine, since every person using this doesn't add soap into it just a foam cannon which I don't wanna purchase. Just use the actual soap container it came with. But I can't find information on what soap to use, and how much to add and if I need to mix it with water in the soap container.
Stay away from using the soap dispenser, your hoses will last longer if you only use water in them
@@GiovanniGiorgo On this model the soap dispenser attaches to the end of the gun. It doesn’t go through the hose.
People are getting these VE52 units entirely based off of the gpm's. They have serious quality control issues, the power button being one of them. For this reason I would not waste my money on one.
Is the hose that comes with this one a little nicer than the one that comes with the 100$ version the “1800 psi” one anybody know??
And they both appear to be the same gun??
Why did you change the water connection? What did you replace it with?
I attached a quick disconnect and needed a different size for the hose. Links should all be in the original video description box
What’s your pressure washer gun set up?
The mv925
Wow that was fast. Lol
I think if you change out you Orifice to RIDGE WASHER 1.1 mm Foam Cannon Orifice Nozzle, Universal Thread Tips for Snow Foam Lance, 2-Pack (Amazon) you will get thicker form anyway thanks for the info
How do you use the soap on the pressure washer
Foam cannon
Active is found in Canadian Tire store under another brand name!...
Anyone know which quick connect adapter I can get for the same hose she is using ? With same pressure washer
I believe the links for them are in the video description
Twinkle Star Pressure Washer Adapter Set, Quick Disconnect Kit, M22 Swivel to 3/8'' Quick Connect, 3/4" to Quick Release
@@attention2detailswchelseathanks so much for the reply!! 😊
How’s the Ryobi holding up?
Great! Use it every day!
Chelsea, most foam Cannons require 1.8 GPM or above. Have you tried a foam cannon with this specifications? Thanks.
I show it in the video. It did great with a foam cannon.
It's a consumable so it's probably built for 1000 hours. Should last only 1 to 2 years.
MY UNIT ACTIVE IS SURGING AND THE SAME SMELL BUT MINE SHUTS OFF FOR LONG PERIOD
Can you call them and get a replacement unit?
@@attention2detailswchelsea JUST CHECKED MY PAST AMAZON ORDERS AND HOPEFULLY I CAN CONTACT THEM FOR HELP
@@DETAILINGDETAILING-hb7bj did they help you out?
@@Youknowitbby man yes they did a employee named allyn (allan/allen) came through. but i still have not found the info on the so called recall.
@@DETAILINGDETAILING-hb7bj oh that’s wassup man glad they did I heard their customer service is rather well. I ordered one also should be arriving anytime soon but got a warranty just in case but it does come standard with a 2 yr warranty
Does the job, albeit, very slowly.
The Active unit is way better than the Ryobi and has a 2 yr warranty. The Ryobi also doesn't get 1900 psi its more like 1700 but it's decent use a 3.0 or 3.5 40* spray tip to get 1.4 gpm 1000 psi out of the Ryobi and 3.5 40* tip to get 1250 psi and 1.65 gpm out of the Active
My Active has died twice now and been replaced and the Ryobi hasnt failed me yet (knock on wood).
I use a gas pressure washer has never failed me not one time
Also there is this kid who ripped off your name. His company is called “attention to detail” clearly stole your name
Theres so many of them hence why Im Attention 2 Details w/ Chelsea here. Theres almost one in every major city. Lol.
@@attention2detailswchelsea wow thats insane i thought you were th only one. well clearly you have the most exposure, and i honestly know nothing about the pan drama was just letting you know what dallas paint correction said but im sure you already know
It doesn't sound like there is a solid reliable pressure sprayer made by anyone. sigh
The mv925 is very reliable
@@attention2detailswchelsea I meant the electric unit itself.
4th
Just arrived home📵
Have not heard much good about anything Active. Shame on them. For this price point, they should be much much better
Yeah my 2nd replacement unit from them was dead out of the box. Would not recommend right now. Went and bought a new Ryobi 1900 (had one freeze on me this winter), registered it with the warranty and it has a 3 yr warranty now. So should be good.
And this is why as professional detailers people shouldn’t be buying this cheap junk. Invest the money into a quality machine. Kranzle k1322TS
It works for me but every person has different needs. What do you like about the Kranzle?
@@attention2detailswchelsea it’s Ultra Quiet. Has a self priming pump that will pull in water from a tank. It’s also serviceable if something were to ever break unlike these cheaper pressure washers. And the simple fact that I don’t have to worry about if it’s going to let me down out on a job. I think $950 is a small price to pay for a machine that’s used daily several times a day and is going to make my business much smoother to run.
@@Skdjiejxuje thanks for the feedback!
I concur @obsessed mobile detailing and not knocking other pressure washer brands as they also perform but the sound and durability Is really well worth the purchase, Chelsea needs to be introduced to @Kranzle USA
Kranzle is a investment pressure washer, and will pay off in the end if anything happens with the cheaper one's out of warranty you're out of pocket.
