Dahlia hits a very nice sweet spot for me and it's all due to moderation. She has very mature reactions to adversity even though you can tell it's affecting her a lot, and she's sweet in her own way without it feeling artificial. Also, she kind of sucks. She's awkward, is fumbling around with toolmaking techniques, struggles to do business-talk, etc. But none of it in a way that makes her seem incompetent, just inexperienced. I really like her. She doesn't feel as much like an anime character, and would be someone I could see myself enjoying grabbing a drink with.
@@misterpayah7723 Agreed with everything you wrote, always rated characters that are believable to meet in real life and Dahlia really stood out in that regard for me this season
@@lotterino_6503 it's a reasonable rule considering most of us know we have a lot of shows to choose from, but little time for all of them. If you dropped this one (Dahlia), I won't take it against you as I am well aware of its shortcomings (my enjoyment of everything else just happened to outweigh that)
@@AngeHikari Oh, don't worry about that, I didn't watch it, yet?. I've not been watching anime as of recently. I can't seem to find any good shows, but have some in my sight, like Frieren & Dungeon Meshi. I just don't have the willingness to watch other half assed productions or that don't suit my taste when it comes to quality of product anymore.

I've finished Frieren back in march, and I've yet to watch Dungeon Meshi's 2nd cour(I like both, though I did like Frieren more if that matters)
It would help to increase your recording volume.
Thanks for the advice, will consider this going forward (I have sensitive hearing, so I'm not really good at gauging 'normal' recording volume)

I've a rule I follow, the 3 episode rule. If I don't like the show or feel like it's poorly executed by that ep, I will quit it immediately.
