And it's a team who has never won anything in the history of the franchise, is relying on very young players with little playoff experience, AND relying on a 7'3 175lb center with leg/lower body injury history. The only people picking OKC over CLE just don't watch the games. I'm guessing Haize is a front runner and only watches big markets and gets all of his opinions from ESPN.
So three teams better than Cleveland in the west?? You obviously haven’t watched them. There is NOBODY better than this team right now. East, west, south, north whatever. If Cleveland plays their game nobody beats them.
Yall talk about OKCs defense as to why they’d beat Cleveland, but you forget that this is the same Cleveland roster that led the NBA in defensive efficiency last season. They simply haven’t HAD to lock in on defense because they’ve made so many shots and lead the NBA in 3pt% AND 2pt%.
Ive seen 3 teams in history who played every game like it was important. The '71-72 Lakers, 77-78 Trailblazers and these Cavs sure seem ready to join that duo.
Okay, but the main problem of OKC is playing in CLE. If CLE has homecourt advantage you’re not beating them in a 4 out 7 series and this includes Boston.
@@tyriantaylor711 This is cope. They've improved incrementally every year and are playing at a much higher level than they did in previous years. This narrative is so tired, they may have largely the same roster but this is not the same team. Ty Jerome, Garland and Mobley are all making a big leap this year (jerome now healthy). The team was very young Mitchell's first year when he got here, do peopel think the players just didn't get better? I don't get it. Also last year they didn't "flame out" they were crippled by key injuries and got beat by the eventual Champions.
The cavs core of young stars have played together for a few years and were ready to win. Donavan has been grooming in Utah to be a leader and was looking for a team to lead. The timing couldn’t have been better. Donavan is the difference, he’s showing them how to handle wining. I’ve been a Cleve fan for decades and haven’t seen a leader of his caliber on any pro Cleve team since Bernie Kozar. LeBron came back to give us a title and major props to him for that but they were a one and out . This team is going to be around for a while..
This is a historically good Cavs team. Historically good. Based off precedent with similar teams at this point alone, more than half these arguments against them make zero sense
I can tell you don't listen I literally said it wouldn't pick then because of the inexperience of Houston its bad enough you're hairline gone listeh better
I heard someone say on another channel that the NBA decided a long time ago to just push certain teams in certain cities with certain players. Why??? They have 32 teams! Why don't they promote all of them and all the players? Now, they're losing viewers!
I agree. I've always said if they only want to push LA, NY, Miami, Boston and Chicago then have 6 teams from each city and screw all of the other teams. NY 4 beat LA 6..... Ridiculous to do what they are doing. That's a huge reason why viewership has declined. Duh!
It’s so annoying. Anytime it’s a good player in a smaller market instead of talking about the team they spend of a lot of time talking about getting the player to a bigger market 💀 even if the franchise is ran worse than the smaller market
The issue with the NBA is they refuse to market the lil guys. Unlike the NFL who don't care who is winning. They will market a team in Antarctica. NBA only cares about NY, LA, Boston, etc. They will bury any small market team. Cavs and Thunder are the two best teams so far yet no one gets to watch them on TV . It's a real shame
Ideally, but he wouldn't be force fed the ball...wouldn't be the number one option and wouldn't be playing 40 minutes a night...so , yes, I kinda disagree for those reasons...there's no doubt he's talented and has top notch skills...but.....like I stated
I don't see the mavericks getting out of the west this year! They were very fortunate they played the clippers without kawhi otherwise kawhi sends mavs home in the first round for the 3rd time! If kawhi isn't healthy okc comes out the west!!
I would be shocked if a Mitchell-Garland backcourt held up well defensively in the playoffs. I’m also very skeptical that they’ll be able to keep up that level of 3-pt shooting when teams are actually playing defense. Regular season & postseason basketball are 2 very different things.
Well so far their defense has translated well in the playoffs. It’s been their offense that has struggled. Are you as skeptical with Brunson and Kat defense holding up in the playoffs too?
I feel great for Spida. But I don't know if their twin towers are physically big enough to deal with the other bigs on the east coast. Rebounding is why they lost to the knicks in the playoffs, really. 🤔
Based on rotations and minutes, Cavs are not going all out in regular season. Their intensity, peaks and wanes throughout their schedule. YIKES!! No matter what, people desperately seek to find some team to pick over a CLEVELAND team.
Hell yeah that’s why we here in Cleveland don’t give a f••k about their lame ass takes we hate you back even worse!
