It's obvious what he means if you don't cherry pick one line out of context, he clearly goes on to elaborate what was meant (that he had the Uber visual effects, but could still take damage)
Instead of running diagonally, you could use a null-cancelling movement console script, hold down one strafe key, and continually press and unpress the other.
I think the reason why Spy runs so fast is because of addcond 49, which grants you super speed but for some reason stops your momentum in midair upon switching weapons, as demonstrated in 4:10.
The whole “stop all movement when switching weapons” immediately got me thinking about addcond 49, which also boosts your movement speed while stopping you when switching weapons
On my first game as Hale I spawned in with no fists. I think it was because I was Engy holding the building console when I switched. I effectively couldn't fight. Pretty funny.
I think this should not be patched, is actually good (in my opinion) it's really hard to stab saxton if he knows what he is doing, and you just get a incredible speed boost, even if you managed to stab saxton he can still win by capping the point he doesn't really have to kill you, it can be a fun mechanic if it's implemented by one and not a exploit, the floating part should be patched though
I know this is old, but making some classes faster then they are supposed to is a big no no as that can really screw with clients hit detection. Speaking from experience of playing a X10 vsh server where pyro could reach max hammer unit speed (if I remember) with the powerjack

If the Saxton Hale was not jumping correctly a scout, soldier or spy could easily 1v1 and win. It might sound unbalanced, but if they did jump around half decent then it was impossible to kill Hale.
Part of me wishes that this bug hadn't been patched, and instead was made a feature. It gave the YER a level of usefulness that would balance it in a mode where disguises, by their nature, will never have the chance to fool anyone.

What, this is actually an Exploit ? I thought it was something normal, since the spy says "I can't disguise myself as Saxton", so it would be a bonus for using the yer. I always thought the flying bug and No fall dmg were the exploit.
Though this was a fun glitch, I like how they fixed it, and since Hale isnt in the class roster, stabbing him will cause your disguiser to glitch out and you morph into a random member of your team instead
Nope, it just ain't right. Community VSH never had that YER bug (as long as I remember it) and *really* good spies can deal dozens thousands of damage by tricking him

I think spy should get the saxton disguise and be this fast until he shoots his gun

You can get metal from switching loudouts in spawn only in setup time, idk if it really helps but it still gives an advantage.

Unfortunately it's true. It makes you rely on your disguise more, but doesn't really enhance disguise in any way.
