I sometimes forget that 'vincible' is technically a word.
It's obvious what he means if you don't cherry pick one line out of context, he clearly goes on to elaborate what was meant (that he had the Uber visual effects, but could still take damage)

Instead of running diagonally, you could use a null-cancelling movement console script, hold down one strafe key, and continually press and unpress the other.

I think the reason why Spy runs so fast is because of addcond 49, which grants you super speed but for some reason stops your momentum in midair upon switching weapons, as demonstrated in 4:10.

The main reason VSH didn't appeared to be selectable in Official Matchmaking at the beginning of Summer Update
On my first game as Hale I spawned in with no fists. I think it was because I was Engy holding the building console when I switched. I effectively couldn't fight. Pretty funny.
That happens when you use the scroll wheel when you spawn as Saxton
It's not cheating or an exploit. It's gameplay balance.
Well not really since it's mostly used to delay rounds.

You can get metal from switching loudouts in spawn only in setup time, idk if it really helps but it still gives an advantage.

The whole “stop all movement when switching weapons” immediately got me thinking about addcond 49, which also boosts your movement speed while stopping you when switching weapons

I think this should not be patched, is actually good (in my opinion) it's really hard to stab saxton if he knows what he is doing, and you just get a incredible speed boost, even if you managed to stab saxton he can still win by capping the point he doesn't really have to kill you, it can be a fun mechanic if it's implemented by one and not a exploit, the floating part should be patched though
I think spy should get the saxton disguise and be this fast until he shoots his gun

I know this is old, but making some classes faster then they are supposed to is a big no no as that can really screw with clients hit detection. Speaking from experience of playing a X10 vsh server where pyro could reach max hammer unit speed (if I remember) with the powerjack

I actually encountered this one time, I had no idea I had accidentally encountered an exploit.
You now the exploit is serious when Delfy says it needs luck

I kinda don’t want this to stay fixed. It gives the YER an actual use and like it’s regular use, it delays saxton for just a bit if he chooses to focus the Spy.

I thought it was something normal, since the spy says "I can't disguise myself as Saxton", so it would be a bonus for using the yer.
I always thought the flying bug and No fall dmg were the exploit.
I remember haunting saxton servers back in the day. I played the ones where there was boosts and special effects on weapons and everyone had a parachute. If the Saxton Hale was not jumping correctly a scout, soldier or spy could easily 1v1 and win.
It might sound unbalanced, but if they did jump around half decent then it was impossible to kill Hale.

It just got re-uploaded that stupid "free" music that turned into a copyright and striked for 30 minutes when delfy released the video. Welp that sucks cuz he got the "free" music that turned into a copyright music. Well at least we are safe.
Part of me wishes that this bug hadn't been patched, and instead was made a feature. It gave the YER a level of usefulness that would balance it in a mode where disguises, by their nature, will never have the chance to fool anyone.
YER shouldnt be fixed, reward for spy for getting behind a class that will almost certainly instantly kill him.
Nope, it just ain't right. Community VSH never had that YER bug (as long as I remember it) and *really* good spies can deal dozens thousands of damage by tricking him

Yeah any saxton hale player worth their salt will usually do their best to stay on the move, not to mention the your eternal reward might as well be a downgrade
I read from another guy that hitting Hale activates all "on death" effects
always though Disguising as hale got you his speed, the Y.E.R. is useless otherwise
Unfortunately it's true. It makes you rely on your disguise more, but doesn't really enhance disguise in any way.

i legit thought this was intentional? i remember trying every knife on saxton hale and thought the yer was just buffed for copy the speed while disguised and lost after lose the disguise
I bet it has to do with Hale's weapons, which would be why switching triggers it. Ever notice how swapping to Pyro's flamethrower as spy makes its pullout noise for example? No clue how they're gonna fix it lol

i dunno why post a exploit here, specially with valve's sluggish development team , that is not able to fix decade old bugs and exploits from PVE modes like MVM, let alone pvp ones
Though this was a fun glitch, I like how they fixed it, and since Hale isnt in the class roster, stabbing him will cause your disguiser to glitch out and you morph into a random member of your team instead
I do think the speed should be a feature. This would make the YER an actual useful weapon.

The demo in the first game is an idiot, he could have easily just capped and won for the team while the Saxton Hale was chasing you.
