@TheBlackFilipino Brotha!!! Havent been to your channel in a while!! You lokking good! Looks to me that you've lost a considerable amount of weight!!! Great job brotha! Kepp on Vlogging!
I'm Filipino, and now I live in the U.S. You can't find pinakurat in the grocery store. You can either buy them in a Filipino store or order them online through Wee. I love the pink pinakurat, which is sweet and spicy.
that bigger version of kwek-kwek is called "tokneneng", it uses duck egg and I always thought it was a chicken egg Duck egg is relatively cheaper than chicken egg
That's interesting. In China and USA Duck egg is more expensive because the ducks typically lay 1 egg every other day but maybe in Philippines since it's warmer maybe the ducks there lay an egg everyday as well. And there could be breeds that lay more eggs too. This egg I had didn't taste so good but I'm open to trying it a couple more times to make sure it wasn't just a weird tasting one. The most expensive egg in China is a goose egg. They only lay an egg every 3 days I think.
You are absolutely right; inflation in the United States is astronomical. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, which is one of the most expensive cities in the country. Gas prices here are extremely high-among the highest in the nation-because it has been refined to reduce gasoline emissions.
You can make your own pinakura, just add lots of ginger, chile onion, pepper and sugar t but the best vinegar you can use is vinegar from Ilocos or Tuba ( from coconut) just be moderate because its cause acidity. Enjoy life in the Philippines 😊
Something with that suka.... buy semi ripe mangoes (has to be green with yellow spots) when open its betwen green and yellow insides...... den put out patis den little suka and pinch of salt..... den taste heaven😅😅😅
I’m beginning to wonder if there is any food you eat without vinegar. Is there an addiction here that needs to be addressed? Hahaha! Enjoyed your collaboration here with The Black Filipino. Thank you for sharing! 👏
Thanks Duterte. Also, penoy is basically infertile duck eggs. "Bugok" egg to be specific. So they are borderline, rotten. But specific bacteria that is specific for that egg makes the smell and taste distinct.
isn't penoy just a hard boiled egg (maybe duck egg, instead of chicken) dipped in batter then fried? tried penoy before and i didn't like it. thought the egg was bad already
dude,to answer your question man ..... the reason kay is clueless 'bout pinakurat vinegar is, bcuz she's from luzon, she's a tagalog ..... pinakurat was invented in iligan city, lanao del norte which is a part of (northern) mindanao ..... pinakurat is very famous in visayas & mindanao ..... mostly bisayan speakin' pinoys know pinakurat vinegar, but for whatever reason it never made it big in luzon area ..... so that's the reason kay & some tagalog speakin' people are clueless 'bout it ...... 😂🤣😂🤣-🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
I see. Maybe it needs to be more popular in Luzon too and the world. I really need to get sponsored by them. It's literally one of the best sauces in the world.
CORRECTION!!!!! The Philippines I knew during the old Ferdinand E. Marcos was one of the cleanest country in the world. I can even sit on the sidewalks of Manila. I was even shock when I moved to the US & went to NYC in 1987 & found it so filthy & so unattractive. Singapore even copied the old Marcos way of discipline.
Had A ball trying Kwek kwek and meeting up with you.
It was awesome. We got to do it again when I get back but next time we try the chicken Isaw.
I want kwek kwek now.

Welcome to the Philippines ❤
Thank you. It's a beautiful country.
The collab I didn’t expect 🤯 what else does the Food x Bert have in store for the rest of the year? Love the content
A lot of collabs to come this year. The pinakurat tradition keeps rolling.
Great video! I definitely love the different vinegars we have in the Philippines!
Philippines has the best spicy vinegars.

I love the pink one too. U can buy it from seafood city. But actually the pink one might be harder to find.

I will definitely be doing that.
Thanks for letting me know. I think I can try it with Chinese vinegar.
Great video collab. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Incredible 🔥
Very masarap.
easy and best mixed pinakura
vinegar, cucumber, onion, peper, chili
That would be awesome. I will try that for sure.

Thanks for the tip! I will have to try.
I'm Filipino and I've never drank suka pinakurat straight. LOL. I use it more of a dipping sauce for meat, fish etc.
In America we like to drink apple cider vinegar straight. So that's where I get it from.
Pinakurat is also a good dip for salted dried fish
I would love to try.

I think there is definitely an addiction to vinegar.
You really got to try it if u can handle spicy
Go to VIKING, International and local cuisines. So many, many foods,Buffet.
Yes. I want to go on my next trip. That place looks great.
It's in moa and bgc.
Seems like great people to work with
Yes. Absolutely
Long live Pinakurat
It's the best vinegar in the world.

no, we don't waste our vinegar. we just dip food in a very small bowl of vinegar.
Maybe it's me who doesn't know how to do it 😭
Some people do pour the vinegar on balut and a lot gets dropped on the ground.
@@FoodXBert it's ok mate. I blame the Filipino who taught you. Just kidding. LOL peace!
I like that vinegar. I live in Florida, USA.
It's amazing stuff. You can literally put it on anything. What do u normally like to put it on?
I mix the vinegar with their sweet sauce
Thanks for the tip!
New subscriber here ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Stay of the Suka brother hahaha!
I can't stay off the suka. I'm addicted.
New York was hundred years old city, it’s behind from the modern day Lads
Yes. There is definitely cities coming up in the world. What city are u in?
isn't penoy just a hard boiled egg (maybe duck egg, instead of chicken) dipped in batter then fried? tried penoy before and i didn't like it. thought the egg was bad already
I think they put it into the incubator but I'm really not sure.
Penoy is an infertile incubated duck egg or egg with dead embryos, which is also boiled for 20-30minutes like balut but sold at a lower price
I think they were in the incubator
Maybe they shine a light on them to see which ones have the embryo
Otherwise they would be thrown away.
I need to get me some of those vinegar
Yes. You need them for sure.
@FoodXBert when you get some kwek kwek, try mixing the sweet sauce with vinegar. Might sound weird but I like it, esp that spicy kick
