Zoe always teaches us a very important lesson which is, make mistakes to grow and improve. With your dedication, braveness, and consistency you're an inspiration for each one of us. Thank you dear 💗😊
Thanks for making this video with me! I really like the vibe of our conversation. Your encouragement as a native Arabic speaker and teacher is significant. Many people are afraid to speak because they are afraid of making mistakes! But making mistakes is part of learning the language, which can make us progress faster. Don't be discouraged if someone makes fun of our accent or can't understand, keep working and always believe that practice makes perfect!
@@zoe.languages I totally agree! 👍
Making mistakes and learning from them is an indispensable part of language learning.
i am Chinese as well and I just started learning Syrian Arabic. Zoe you are very inspirational!!! 你是我的好榜样!关注了你的频道~
Oh, geat
That's very nice! Good luck! 👍
Did you learn? 🤩 How it's going
Hi, did you learn?
for me I can understand you pretty well and even enjoyed that. your Arabic sounds natural and flows well. I always have big respect for anyone learn Arabic because I know it's hard and painful. love you Zoe.
agreed
This is what I like to see. People actually learning the languages and showing it and not just making "content" in English. Zoe worked so hard good for her!
Arabic fushah is never spoken between people in the street but it is essential for everything other than communication like reading, writing, news, formal communication like in companies, just everything other than communication..
As Levant arabic dialect, we are proudly the most clear dialect in the Arab world, every arab can understand us but it is not vice-versa, we struggle to understand the west dialect (Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria) like we understand about 50% of it , however if you have a friend from there to talk with him in his dialect you will learn so fast, on the other side Egyptian dialect is 95% understandable to Syrians, thanks to Egyptian series which built the great basis of us understanding Egyptian dialect. Egyptian series and movies are used to be showed in the official TV in most of the Arab countries in the past, so it became very usual for us.
Lebanese, jordanians, Palestinian dialects are very close to Syrian one, I would say they are the same unless they differ alittle in the sound spoken. Iraq dialect for Syrians is same as Egyptian, means 95% understandable, while the Arabian gulf accents also understandable about 80%.
Sorry for all this details but this subject never been too simple!
great thanks for the details, I knew the Levantine dialects were understood well but I didn't know how well you could nderstand others.
I'd say egyptian is the most understandable bc of media and films
Hi, I think the levantine and egyptian dialects are the widely understandable due to the media, and not because they are closer to the standard arabic (FuSha). For example, I am moroccan and I an understand all arabic dialects because of TV shows and arabic music that we acceed easily from Morocca as part of the Arab World, but I have friends that struggle with levantine dialects because they grew up in Europe and their only contact with arabic language was their Moroccan family and Moroccan channels and their Standard Arabic classes in Europe.
How about the Yemeni dialect? Which is closer to the standard Arabic more Yemeni or Levantine? I understood they two are quite close but Yemenis pronounce the sound jim/G as GA like Egyptians.
@@BlackSeedOil20 if we wanted to know exactly which dialect is the closest, we should compare the pronunciation of letters, words and the special phrases for each dialect to know how much it is close to standard one, basically yemeni pronunciation is very close to standard however still some letters exceptions that pronounced differently, which makes it harder to understand.
As a native speaker of Arabic i am so proud of you 🥰 and your accent is so good 👍😊 i wish you all the luck💗🖤

Hi Zoe, As a fluent English/Arabic speaker, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Your tips at the end and the sense of belonging and connection to Syria was something I relate to as I learned Turkish and German (not fluent but can manage a conversation well). I feel the same but was never able to express my connection this way so true!! Best wishes. 🙏
Wow, I've never seen an Asian so interested in middle eastern languages and culture. It's nice to see that anything is possible when there's a desire and passion to do something. Especially such a difficult language, very inspiring for many.

Wow, such an inspiring video full of good advice! I have been learning Arabic for 1 year and I can understand basic stuff, but I always think how much there still is to learn, and I have doubts if I will ever become fluent in it, but I keep reminding myself that it is possible, and even if it takes 10 years, I will reach my goal ♥ thank you Zoe and Hala!
You will make it !
You will. I'm able to understand most of what they're saying in this video but it took me like 2 years of very inconsistent and lazy learning and like 3 months of strict daily learning to get this far but luckily I have a cousin who was raised in kuwait and a native Arabic speaker so I got the luxury to always annoy him asking for what this and that means
Miss Zoe, you have revitalized my desire to continue with my Arabic studies and do them without any fear of making mistakes, thank you for that. Your message for our community is inspiring and you make us proud of being part of your channel. My best wishes for you.

Ohhh another Zoe Language video 🤩 Loving the content!
Your arabic is so beautiful!!!
Native arabic speaker here, thinking that this was recorded when you have been studying arabic for only 3 years is very very impressive because I totally acknowledge how hard arabic is and it gets even herder when you have to learn the dialect as well. I just started my Chinese learning journey a month ago and I will surely come back to this video whenever I am feeling down or discouraged because of how hard Chinese can be to remind myself that hard doesn't mean impossible. My love from Lebanon.

Hi Zoe, you are a beautiful example for me. I have been learning levantine Arabic for 2 years but I have still a problem to understand. I can say a lot but the listening is still hard. Thanks in advance
Wow girl!! I adore you too much 👍🏻👌
I'm an Iranian girl who love to learn different languages...🌍
I started to learn a bit of Arabic language in Syrian accent a couple of years ago but not seriously just for fun ... then I tried to have fun by learning Arabic in other accents such as Iraqi (my favourite) and Maghrebi ..
I understood more than half of your conversation in this video without looking at subtitle!! even though I wasn't serious enough to leaening this language at all (unfortunately) !
i undrestood 60% of this video just beacause i did try to have a conversation with Arabic people and listening to Arabic songs once a while in last couple of years ...
At the end my advice for who wants to seriously learn Arabic is to not jump from one accent to the other until learning one for good .. on the other hand you will get confused for good 😀😀 and Syrain accent is super sweet and easier than other accents at the same time ( very good choice to start Arabic with)💗
You're right. I think it's better to stick with one dialect, especially at the beginning. You can learn other dialects later when you're advanced. It would be a lot easier too.
Thank you❤️please vidéo sur comment faire un bon plan et les sources que t'as utilisé pour chaque langue.
I have the same feeling with my Syrian friends, they are like my sisters.
