In some places in latinoamerica, specially a few decades before, people used to believe in "Niño Jesus" which means "Baby Jesus", who would be the one bringing gifts on christmas, instead of Santa Claus. Orange is not an naturally occurring fruit. It’s a cross between a lemon and mandarin. So it is technically a genetically modified fruit.
With that line of reasoning, all food (and plants in general) is genetically engineered if you go back far enough. Which is often my point when I try to argue with people that GMOs are not bad. I despise organic food because it is not actually any healthier, is worse for the soil, can feed less people, and is unnecessarily expensive. If there was food that was specifically marketed to be GMOs, I would buy it.

It’s not healthier for us in a measurable quantity, but it makes agriculture on the same land more sustainable over longer period of time. When using chemical fertilisers, the soil’s natural nutrient content becomes leeched. Chemical leeching degrades the soil and overusing the soil can make it infertile and barren. Though this can happen in organic farming, it generates takes longer and it’s important to support farmers who take that choice as its better for the environment. The companies that make the chemical fertilisers cause massive amounts of pollution. The carbon footprint is lower in organic farming.

Zach is the worst! He talks over people, and had the audacity to interrupt Eugene explaining the nuance and problems surrounding the harry styles dress thing, and how he'll be absolutely fine its people who do this every day, are under represented and unprotected that are the ones in real danger. Zach was interrupting and reexplaining it poorly while Eugene was still talking about it. Zach is a mansplainer and its infuriating.

Yea.. I'm a Kiwi too. It basically means we love shortening words and it's difficult to do that to "New Zealander". I think, possibly, some people who are immigrants to NZ could be offended, but to me a Kiwi is someone who embraces the Kiwi way of life and everything it means to be a Kiwi.... also I live in Ecuador, but still a Kiwi :D

We got a free futon sofa from a friend. Other than replacing a couple of pieces of wood, it did us as a sofa AND a bed for several years. Sure it wasn’t the most fancy sofa in the world, but it was comfy and saved us sleeping on the floor 💜

In parts of Asia, Christmas season starts at September. It's not kinda, it's an unspoken rule where I'm from. There are countdowns in all news stations, at schools, Christmas music starts, commercials, and sales that are all Christmas related begin to pop up. Halloween 🎃 isn't a big thing until recently and Thanksgiving ain't a thing. A lot of other cultures have different traditions. Once the BER (SeptemBER-DecemBER) months hit, Christmas trees and decorations start going up.
