Played Red Mountain twice and loved every moment of playing there , beautiful golf course and manicure fairways and super bunkers, but thank god for a golf cart , really tough if the back markers so I decided to play off the middle during my round and played really well . If you get a chance play this course it’s worth the price
Had to revisit this Dave. I'm going to be there soon. Had to change destination to Phuket to get entry. Got so many PCR tests to pass I'm living like a hermit right now and will have to out there. Playing 6 courses twice over. This being one of them.
Sorry to hear of the change in plans, but you won’t be disappointed with this place. For a long time is was my favourite course. Some spectacular holes! Even Pete played that day…
@@ForetoFourGolf I'm just glad to be going somewhere. Bars close at 9pm but that wont bother me. I can go out early and get some food and enjoy a bit of evening shopping. 6:30am alarm call anyway. Hoping the courses are empty early so I can film easier. I think I'll film on the days I'm not playing golf too. All the other bits. What is great is Golf Asian is passing on the hotel and green fee discounts as there are no tourists and everything is cheap. Saved £500 and upgraded to 5* hotel.
You are probably right. That big Buddha in the south of Phuket is pretty cool, and you will probably see elephants on the way up to it. We rented mopeds to get up there
My wife was quite happy to lounge around the pool while I spent the afternoon out there, although my advice would be get out there as early as possible, it got crazy warm out there!
Played 2 weeks ago. Been coming to RM for 12 years. Course not in the best shape these days. Also a huge hospital is being built on a few holes on the back nine . Hope management brings it back to how we’re used to.
Hi don, yes it is usual to tip the caddies in addition to the caddie fee. I can’t remember exactly what we gave but it was maybe 20-30% of the caddie fee. They were awesome, they earned it! From memory the whole day cost about $280 AUD, today that is around $220 US
Looks great. Not been to Phuket. Possibly wont as it's an extra flight. 288 days to wheels up though. Did you play other courses or was it a one off away from the wife?
Played RMGC February this year (2020 just before the shit happened ), a truly stunning course. You cannot describe how that 17th looks, even your vid cannot do it justice , you DO have to be there. I carded my best score this day, i was so looking forward to going back in the New Year , but that covid bastard has sucker punched us all. will get back one day and hopefully soon.
I have to agree with you David, for a long time this was my favourite golf course in the world, 17th is breathtaking but there are 4 or 5 other holes that are as good. I’ll be getting back to Thailand pretty quickly once it is possible, there are plenty of other gems out there!
I played in December 2017, and I remember the whole day costing about $300 AUD but that was green fee, carts, clubs, shoes, range balls, post round drink, caddy fee and and caddy tip
So I'm bored and going through analytics...just noticed that next to this comment it has you at 13 subscribers 11 months ago. Now at 962. Hats off to you man, great effort!
I only realised recently that Thailand now has around 250 golf courses. That (and not only the famous caddies) is an additional good reason to visit the country and perhaps play and film a few courses for my "Golf & Tesla" RUclips channel. (trailer: ruclips.net/video/s6AaC0wIWro/видео.html
I lived in Kamala Beach fur 15 months and never played here. A shame. Although, I can not really play in that heat. My clubs spin in my grip from sweat.
“The hairs are actually standing up on my arms and it’s 30 degrees” - I don’t blame you!! That’s stunning. Need to get to Thailand
An amazing hole on an incredible course, plus the caddies are brilliant and the weather is always nice. Hard to say a bad thing about Thailand!
Fore to Four Golf looked first class all around. A perfect golf vacation destination
Gawd…cute caddies and in shape, makes a pleasant round of golf no matter what.
Very true!
Thanks so much! Can’t wait to see it myself
It’s a quality course!
It's a great course played it many times

Totally agree!
favorite video so far i think. Great stuff!!
Cheers ben, appreciate the support! This was probably the most fun to film as well!
😲😲😲 i just see video
Very nice golf course 😊😊😊
+Wipada Kanyaprasit and the caddies are awesome 😎

That’s awesome! I’d like to see you walking bangla road 😂

That course looks amazing. Have to put it on my list.
It is/was/may always be the best course I've played. Phuket is worth a visit anyway, but this place was the highlight of the trip and is a must play.
Turning the big 50 this year. Might have to ask the minister of war and finance to plan this.

Course looks cool.
+Black Birdie Golf at the time it was my favourite, only a couple of the Dubai courses has toppled it!

thanks for the update, that is a shame!
I assume you tip the caddies? Whats appropriate? How much was the round US?

I heard the caddy's in Thailand are dope!
They are so good, great fun, amazing green readers and good golfers too in my group!

Sadly I only played the one in Thailand, but I am hoping to make another visit this year! Plenty of great golf to be consumed there!
@@ForetoFourGolf I'm flying in for 3 and half weeks on November the 14th. Should get 4 months of content out of it.

Thanks...I think 😂
Good video. More information and less music would be nice.
Thanks Andrew, this was one of my earlier vlogs and I always try to do a little more talking these days. Not always possible but I do my best,
The background music is horrible not enjoyable at all!
Maybe watch it on mute?
