They did a similar thing with Dishonored 2 where the OST was only a half hour long, BUT with Dishonored 2 they later released the Digital Deluxe Edition which added another 45 minutes of music. I HOPE Bethesda repeats history here because the ambient tracks stuck with me the most.
I don't know why but this has been pretty standard for a long time. Final Fantasy Tactics(1998!), Mass Effect 1, Xenosaga episode II & III, are games that have had some of their greatest songs removed.
8:32 is why I'm here. Amazing soundtrack for the whole of Prey, but I always heard that one when I'm simply exploring and it really did just make me feel like a soul trapped in a nightmare.
This game is SO UNDERRATED!! Nobody talks about it and the Moon Crash DLC is like no other! This game is a cross between Super Metroid, Castlevania Symphony of the Night and Bioshock! Basically it's like a broke dick, you can't beat it!!

Reminds me of doom, dead space, resident evil, and even at times silent hill. A fun even paced open combat survival horror game. It's got a bit of everything and the story is just something else as well as the characters.

There is one ambient track I just cannot find. It is very eary with a prominent base that switches pitch down. It plays when you go down to Life Support I think because I heard it in a speedrun when he jumped down the main elevator shaft.

I don't mean danielle's song either just to clear up any confusion there, but the additional option on the terminal there called "ambient guitar" along side "ambient electric" and "White noise" in addition to danielle's song.

Dude....i dont how these soundtracks are triggered but same happened with me. Whenver i would either just observe talos 1 ext or the some great view from inside the music will start playing and the moment become so trickly peaceful and perfect that i have no words

It was actually Arkane Studios that made the game ( they also made Dishonored) and Mick Gordon that composed the music ( he also made the DOOM ost) :)
