Markets the world over operate on designated roads for part of the day. When no vehicles can drive through them . Then, they are reopened after the markets are closed. The Gambian authorities should be ashamed and careful of how they treat their citizens. You have allowed these conditions for ages and now you come and change it without making provisions for the entrepreneurial citizens. Thats not right. I can see that life is a struggle there for many people. This is not the way to handle it.
First of all stop throwing trash all over the 🌎. Keep it clean and make provisions and educate on the importance of keeping the ground clean. The government need to build units possibly like storage units with 2 exit doors in each one and a bathroom in each. This would take the stress 😩 off the people and allow them to run a proper business. Then the authorities can cime and have the right to complain if conditions are not right.
Help your people. Don't treat them like they this.
