As it so happens, cockatiels have evolved from dinosaurs among many other species. They probably share some of those genes, hence the sound.

First of all evolution is not a theory about the origin of life, it is a theory about how a species can change over time specifically to adapt to an environment. Evolution is observable, this cockatiel would not be possible if Cacatuidae couldn't evolve to accommodate the changing environment in Australia's middle Miocene period where we start seeing diversity in the Cacatuidae family. Evolution can also be seen in human beings as well when we look at skin, hair, and eye color. Look at melanin for instance, evolution selected for melanin because it is a natural sunscreen for skin, that's evolution.
Rocks have nothing to do with evolution, I don't know where that ill informed leap came from and to say human's evolved from bacteria is an oversimplification. Bacterium entered an archaeon, this symbiosis marked the beginning of eukaryotes, we evolved from eukaryotes because all complex life is made up of eukaryotes. What is a eukaryote? An organism consisting of cells. Are you an organism that is made up of cells? I hope so.
I believe this is a failing of our education system and an inability to get beyond our own egotism in order to comprehend the broad scale of life, time, and space. I know big numbers are difficult to conceptualize, but think in terms of billions and then when you think of space and other planets think in terms of sextillions. then consider the fact that we are not the only life sustaining planet.
You want to reconcile this with god or the gods, that's easy, you can say whatever deity you believe in put the universe in motion, but discrediting science because it's impossible for you to believe is like me discrediting your religion because it reads like a Grimm's Fairy Tales or Greek mythology.

I got to see that mother threat display today personally. I brought my incubator over to a friend because his cockateels rejected a hatchling and he needed it to stay warm. Seems to be working so far its already accepting pipe food and moving a lot more

Hiya Donna , your little baby tiel is a real cutiepie.I get a kick out of their feet.They seem to grow faster then they do and look like adult feet.lol Its so cute how their feathers grow , their little crest and little tail feathers on their little butts.Iam so glad you opted to hand feed now so he will not get plucked by his parents. Bubbles is looking great and as ive said, he looks good in his food lol.

I am so glad I saw your video tonight. We have a 20 day old tiel that was a surprise hatch. The parents were not excepting her so we started hand feeding day one. It was very scary to have such a small baby that we were trying to feed every 2 hours, but she is doing well and growing so fast it is hard to believe. I’m happy that she is looking the same stage as your chick the same age. We are just falling in love with our sweet baby and are so happy to have her in our lives.

Not sure what she used but I have used a simple egg and biscuit mix or more ideally Roudybush brand rearing mix to feed the baby cockatiels.

Whoa, Bubbles did grew fast! Loved how noisy he was at feeding time. When will he be weaned and onto solid foods like pellets, seeds and veggies? Must be very hard to hand feed him for some many days since day 27, now being 9 weeks (63 days). That means you had fed him 2/3 of his life, more than twice the time his own parents took care of him. You may not be his biological mommy, but you are his REAL mom in every part and step of his life! He is so blessed to have you. Thank you for sharing this joy with us all!
In the early stages when Bubbles wasn’t born yet, there was a question of who his father was. Is he Monty’s for sure since he has a yellow face?
Not necessarily, blue (whiteface) is recessive afterall. However, based on Monty's nesting response, I would heavily suspect he's the father
It's most likely Montys baby. The only way to know is a dna relation test. My breeder of Willow and Jingles says it's Montys babies due to genetics.

Hey, I have a question regarding your birds situation. I had a similar thing happen to me and my baby bird where the parent kicked him out of the nest and plucked his head feathers. How did you go about feeding him at that age? Or did you let the parents do the work? Im afraid they will stop feeding him as mother is laying new clutch immediately after her first one.

So pretty!! I have an almost 2 year old cockatiel, I'm trying to get another bird because he spends a lot of time alone on weekdays while I'm at work. Do you recommend getting a baby (1 or 2 months) or getting an adult? I've been thinking on getting a green cheek conure baby so they can get used to each other more easily, but I'm really not sure if that's the best decision. I'd appreciate if you can give me any advice!! 🐦🐦🐦

@@paigelee2994 I got a baby green cheek conure, he was 6 weeks old when we brought it home. From the beginning we put them in the same cage but divided by a translucent wire sheet so they can see each other but not get too close. I think it was the best to get a baby because they had time to get used to each other. The cockatiel doesn't like his little brother to get too close but very often they chill in a window sill together 😊, they also like to walk around the house looking for little seeds or exploring the place. Only thing is we keep in mind that the conure is way stronger than the tiel so when we are not home they stay in the cage and whenever we are home we let them out but always try to keep an eye on them. No problems so far and my cockatiel hasn't had night frights since his little brother came home so he has definitely been a huge help. My tiel is now 3 years old and the conure is gonna be 2 years old in August.

Hi, the bent metal spoon was a regular spoon. I heated it up and bent the sides. The white one was a plastic spoon from the dollar store.
Mine I guess is one month old and half and his feather is thin on his belly I mean like his little stomach at the top I can clearly see it, will he ever grow more feather?
They may grow in especially if he waa plucked. If there is a bald spot and they don't grow its best to bring him to an avian vet to check for diseases
