- Rishi Kapoor was slapped repeatedly by Padmini Kolhapure while filming a scene in their movie Prem Rog (1982). Widowhood is as touching as marriage. Which is also very controversial to the people of a large part of our country. Raja Rammohan Roy and above all pandit iswar chandra Vidyasagar fought hard in our country over widow marriage. Perhaps with that in mind, Raj kapoor emphasized the detailing of the movie. The song of the movie and the acting of everyone was very strong. I think as a director, raj kapoor best movie was prem rog..

Prem rog film is a firm proof that you dont need exposure, sex and sleaze, neither comedy nor light hearted subject to make a film extremely entertaining and touching.... a film that i have seen multiple times just to savour Padmini and Rishi's acting and innocence portrayed, while feeling the characters' angst alongwith them....people who haven't seen this yet, please watch it....
In my opinion, Raj Kapoor was one of those rare directors of dat time who had d courage to deal wd such critical issues. I hv watched Prem Rog many times n I really like ds movie, though sum parts are hard to watch as they r so brutally realistic. Wenever u narrate incidences related to Dev Anand or Rishi Kapoor(which is sadly very less 😞) I get elated,as these two r my most favrte actors, especially Rishi Kapoor...he was d most natural yet, underrated actor of Hindi cinema

RAjii was such a director, he could visualise the entire film frame by frame before its shoot... The character of Raja Birendra Singh played by Raza Murad is epic.. Raj Kapoor took him for this role by seeing his acting as a Shayer lost in alcoholic life.. That's totally the brilliance of the Show man..!!

Ha ha...an interesting video on the slap encounter on the sets of Premrog. No doubt, that Raj Kapoor wanted the scene yo be perfect and authenticate.
Poor Padmini she must be feeling very very awkward after slapping Rishi Kapoor that too 8 times.
The film is definitely a memorable one.
It wss interesting to learn that Rishi too got an opportunity to slap Padmini in another movie, but as he was a true gentleman, he refrained from actually slapping his co actor.

Rishi Kapoor was always a gifted actor. His spontaneity was his biggest asset. Directors failed to explore him. Rajji as a great director brought out the best in him. His best perfomance till date. Love you Rishi Kapoor.

Rahoul bhai, yeh movie main released ke baad 2 din Jake dekhi thi mujhe itna achhi lagi isliye. Lekin woh thappad real tha yeh aaj tumse jana. Hum sochte the ke woh nakli thappad hain jaise film mei hota hain. Rahoul bhai aur koi aise ghatna hain ke asli thappad,ghusha ya fight sequence ka ? Rehne se bad mein post karna.
