I like to think that some of these crazy spell cards (especially the later ones) are what the characters would use if they were SERIOUSLY pushed to the edge and needed to use the most insane attack possible. It's wicked to think about. Cool video though! Nice to see all the spell cards this game has to offer!

Now, *THAT'S* how you beat 11-2 (at 43:46); when I looked at MegamanOmega's video on Suwako, I was weirded out by the fact that this SpellCard took him more photos to capture it than me (it tends to be the other way around), and I realized that he was using a more unreliable tactic for it (Kdog's Weekly Spell Card Showcase made the same mistake in fact). As shown in this video, staying on the left half of the screen is the proper way to beat it; it also gives you more score I think, but people don't tend to score-play the Photo games as far I know, though.

can you explain to me about the powers, abilities, etc as im planning to get 12.5 on pc for christmas and its gonna be my first official touhou game ive played
Hi,
i'm glad you want to learn about the Touhou games :)
however, i recommend to start from the first touhou windows game - Touhou 06 embodiment of scarlet devil.
so you can learn about the games in general and the chararcters you will face in aya shameimaru captrue games.
and there is another picture captureing game before 12.5, which is touhou 9.5 shoot the bullet, so check that one too .^_^
Anyway,
The objective of the game is captureing pictures of the boss characters from the other touhou games.
By taking pictures you can erase bullets which sometimes its necessary to take pictures just for the bullets and not the boss to protect yourself, the more bullets you took in the picture without capturing the boss will make the camera for the next shot to start at high percent and will charge faster.
Now for controls and abilities:
by pressing Z you can capture a picture immediately or by holding Z you can delay the capture but the picture will get smaller and will be harder to capture the boss and delaying it too much will cause the picture to go too small and eventually fail.
by holding Shift you can focus,meaning you move slowley and your hitbox will become visible and it will be easier to dodge.
by holding Shift+Z you will charge the camera faster but you will move extremely slow which sometimes helpful and sometimes dangerous.
By pressing X you can flip the camera horizontal or vertical.
each picture you take, the bosses spells will become more agressive.
