    I discovered the style entry a few weeks ago and its made a huge difference when i switch POV; they actually sound (at least a little, im still working out the kinks) different.
    Now im trying to figure out the genre entry

    This program blows Sudowrite right out of the water. And to think Novelcrafter is still in beta. Good job, developers. Keep up the good work. 👍

    I have been working to convert a screenplay to a novel for quite some time. Novelcrafter is a God send. I have tried with other similar programs but they pail in comparison. The thought put into the workflow and the interface is noteworthy. All of the other programs seem to sink a writer into the depths of learning software versus writing. Not Novelcrafter! It didn't take me long to learn the interface and then focus on the story. Job well done Novelcrafter!

    Can't wait to be a part of the beta! This is exactly the type of application I have been looking for to keep track of my work!
    I know it's built predominantly for novel writing, but a screenwriting mode would be amazing.

      Thanks for the kind words. You can customize the prompts yourself to already spit out screenwriting-like text. The format menu also allows you to change the font to be mono-spaced and such - that should help!

    Just started in Beta, adding my series and the first novel. Really need to better understand the Codex to worldbuild! Thanks!

    This looks so wonderful. Large learning curve, but I'm willing to take the time to figure this out now to save so much time in the future. My one main question is, do I need to be a full subscriber to programs like, let's say, Chat GPT for this program to work fully? I've seen other videos on this program where people reference API's of other AI programs and I'm a bit confused by that. Thanks for this. Excited to dive in.

      hi there! ChatGPT, Claude Pro or others are separate to Novelcrafter. You can start out with just Novelcrafter all on its own!

    Really helpful video. Novelcrafter looks very good. Just one query - in Novelcrafter where do you suggest putting some actual example prose (eg about 1000 words of an existing story) so that the AI can see a full example of the kind of writing style that you want. As opposed to a short style 'prompt' for the AI. Thanks in advance.

    • @novelcrafter
      @novelcrafter  6 месяцев назад

      There are many ways to do this: A normal Codex Entry, or a custom prompt that pulls in the prose as a snippet (which allows you to place the style guide wherever you want inside the prompt instructions). The first one is easier, but the latter will work better.

      @@novelcrafter Thanks. I'm new to Novelcrafter so not quite sure how, in the UI, you actually do the latter yet - but will have a go :) This could be the subject of a 'Novelcrafter tips' video I think too, to help others?

    Hi. This looks exciting. Such a great aid for writing. Seems like a great place to craft my novel. I signed up on the mailing list for the beta. How long does it take to get an invite? Btw; I use an Ipad pro from 2018 (3rd generation) will Novelcrafter work with the ipad?

      Hi there. we're rolling out the next batch this Friday! Preliminary mails go out one day before (to prepare you for access). While we do test on all kinds of devices there still might be bugs - but yes, iPad is supported :)

      @@novelcrafter thank you for the speedy reply. Oh that sounds great, Friday isn’t far away. Hoping I’ll be among the lucky ones. Yeah I do everything on the ipad. I’ll keep you posted on how the writing goes on it. Wow this is next level stuff for writing. Just what one needs; a writing buddy, an editor, suggestions etc to nudge you along the process. So excited to explore. Thank you :)

    Has anyone found a solution to import/export Codex entries?

  • @economixrebel
    @economixrebel 5 месяцев назад

    Can you use the AI to autopopulate the codex for a series you’ve already written? I’m looking everywhere for this answer and can’t find it. Thanks!

    • @novelcrafter
      @novelcrafter  5 месяцев назад

      Yes and no. You can use the Tinker Chat to come up with names, description and such, but there is no "copy those over" button, so the entries still have to be added by hand.

    Hi! Would you say that using keywords instead of full sentences may be a better option?

    • @novelcrafter
      @novelcrafter  5 месяцев назад +1

      There are a couple of schools of thought on this. Key words certainly would lower token count and keep things brief. Some users prefer to write out the codex entries in their style, so that the AI "sees" more of their own style - it would be worth trying out both to see which fits your style more.
