You are absolutely correct on the winter blend fuel. Most guys running just a tune or basic bolt one just see a mpg difference. The variance of blend seems to be dependent on region. Here in north Texas, with my bone stock 5.7 Hemi, I see a consistent .5 to .7 mpg drop from the end of October until April.
I had an Arc Angel battery in my Hellcat, it failed in 2 months and caused all kinds of issues when it went. They took it back without an issues and said the failure rate was coming in quite high . Apparently they're designing a new version of their own that will be out in several months, so keep your finger crossed that you have a good one.
Hi Speedy...unbelievable how much I learned about tuning watching a vid on battery change out. LOL on the comment about landing the battery neg...I get more sparks (small) on my challenger than any car before...think it might be the IBS...great vid. Thanks Aircharge in going into the Channels list
I love your videos Learned alot. I have a friend who's a tuner on East Coast Supercharging and he told me that it's just as easy to blow up an engine in the winter if not easier than in the summer. He recommends using a high-grade octane booster . cheap insurance. Cuz there's no guarantee that the fuel is 93 octane all the time.btw I have a HC 2. All the best!
Very good video, well done but just a small item around 11:11 when you're talking about positive arcing, that really can't happen since you've already disconnected the negative.
Hey there Speedy, can you upload the video of your floor covering process, I have been really wanting to see what product you used as it looks really good! Take care.
Always enjoy your video's, yeah B. Mason did a good video on that battery. Hey would a small amount of race fuel added to the 1/2 tank of pump gas kept the knock sensors quiet? Just wondering? I know all the old stuff, learning about my new Challenger like the rest of us. I'm in SE Tennessee, thanks, Rick
Awesome Video Speedy. I also have an ArcAngel battery and the Weight difference is Awesome. I was also surprised how fast it starts. I did a test at the track with my Hellcat. I was in the staging lanes waiting because we had 4 oil downs back to back. I left my Burn box on for 1.40+ mins because I was talking to my friends and trying to find out how long each clean up was going to take. I forgot all about my car on cool down mode! Well the ArcAngel batter has a low voltage power shut off on it and it was off when I got to the car. It still fired up but bairly. Awesome battery but keep your eye on it and don’t go for a Pic nic like I did and you’ll be fine!💪🏼👍😎
Great content as usual. Just a heads up I too got the arc angel battery but the newer version weighs in at 23.5 lbs. The latest version got anther cell to bring the amp hours from 60AH to 80AH . But still a great upgrade .
I love your video they help me out a lot when I’m working on my car I did the brake upgrade but I’m just now starting to set my car up for racing I ran a 10 9 Saturday Atlanta dragway someone suggested that I go with a 309 gear would you advise that I’m running Mickey Thompson 20 inch drag radials I know a smaller ram would be better but I’m not sure about changing out the differential ?
Nice video and weight reduction...do you also remove the subwoofers when racing? I've got the Alpine system, so there are no subs to remove. I'd imagine it would be easy to remove the subs.

Less weight is like free HP ! It was my understanding that 2020 MY was going no be the year for a reduced weight platform/floor pan. Just think of the performance number with 300-500 less lb. ? Amazon has this battery for $420. yikes.
Good Info speedy on the new battery new to your sight, getting my redeye in two weeks, not a wide body, in mango orange. Im a old school mopar fan, Great site your very through with your teck info. my car has the 3.09 axle ratio, trying to get the best ets without a tune for now. Do you think some demon coil spring would help my 60fts i will follow you weight reduction info also. Im in California with 91 octane im going to run 100 octane when i go to the drags any comment on the fuel less octane etc. Thank you
@@SpeedysGarage Hey Speedy, what back spacing is you weld rear rims need to order new drag wheels and tires, congrats on your 9 second run impressive. Thanks
So the Arc Angel is still not avail, tentatively in December. So I ordered a Darrell Cox Racing 9lb (8.8lbs) Lithium battery. Do you have a 1yr review on your AA battery?
great vid as always. Thanks for sharing the tuning knowledge! Wonder how the durability of the Arc Angels are? Also, any special charging requirement, i.e., trickle charging and regular higher current battery charging? Love the weight savings opportunity!!
I think that they are around 450 on average, but are alot better than the Optima which are around 350 the last time I checked on one. They used to be a good quality battery when they were US made, but turned to total crap ever since they started producing them in Mexico and are a rip-off. A goofy mechanic on here name Scotty Kilmer, does a vid about them if you want to check it out and is pretty good. I'm thinking about getting an angel for my Challenger and will be grateful for the quality & weight savings alone, as most of us will take all the help that we can get and that area lol
Hey speedy pretty sure I seen your friend and you at the track at beech bend Saturday! I was in the sublime green hellcat.. Question did you upgrade your drive shaft

Great video Speedy! I've used this Arc Angel battery for a year now (track & daily), and it's never failed me. Very good product.
Dude this channel needs to blow up. Some of the best info and real info not bs most channels shove out. Congrats man I look forward to the vids
It’s crazy that it hasn’t. It’s seriously TV quality. With professional production Speedy could be on any of the Automotive channels.

Greg V this is what Arc Angel told me by email. They are suppose to have the new batteries out around April.
You are going to love that battery! It has been great having the added capacity this summer for cooldowns. Thank you for the shout out!

Vapor pressure of fuel is higher in winter as you say to help it start easier.
The website shows the battery out of stock, I saw on several forums where it was out of stock around 8 months back.

What is your opinion about methanol/ water injection for hellcats
I don't think it's a good solution for a Hellcat. I'd do an E85 flex tune instead if that's your thing.

Nice video, does the new battery have a place to connect the vent tube or does it really matter? 👍
Not needed.
No vent tube required for the Arc Angel? Thanks for another great video Speedy.
Nope, it's lithium ion so no fluids like a factory battery that might out gas.
Don’t forget to hook up the Vent tube on new battery!!
The new one is lithium, no vent tube on it.
Here in sweden we only have 95 and 98 oktane at our gas stations does You only have 93?
93 is it here.
Different octane rating but the us 93 is same octane as the 98
Great video. I thought about getting one of those batteries for my redeye.
I'm thinking that arc angel might be out of business,,,
Do you think or know this about the shell fuel
It's what my data logs showed.
Is there really any differences between 83 andn93 octane? With no tune of course.

you do have to use a different trickle charger than for a standard battery
Look into carbon fiber drive shaft I’ve shaved off 9 pounds of rotating mass
