Not only the great customer service and products, but also these great videos they post, are what makes me buy at B&H. Thanks for all the great content. And thumbs up for Scott for showing us unedited RAW files.
Everytime I see one of Scott's or Matt's tutorials, I learn an amazing amount of "stuff" and come away humbled by their knowledge and ability to communicate so effectively. Thank you for another wonderful lesson!
The slideshow was spectacular. The "blend modes" workflow is the most convoluted PhotoShop-specific fluff I have ever encountered. Thank god for Lightroom presets.
Thanks for pointing that out - Scott Kelby didn't quite get to those topics in his talk that day. We've removed those items from the description to avoid any further confusion.
Hi Scott, I read your book The Digital Photography 1-4 when I started to learn photography 3 years ago. And keep them for reference from time to time. you've always been very helpful.
I wish I could thank this man for mentioning your store in his book, Digital photography. Else I would've bought my stuff somewhere else and might have gotten a lesser deal. I've had so much fun with my 1st DSLR. Thanks B&H and thank you Scott!
@hanif hanif , @BulletproofGOAT , Thank you so much for watching the B&H Photo RUclips Channel and for your participation. We are very pleased that you derive value from and find our presentations useful and informative.
@cmfcpa We look forward to your visit. Thank you for watching the B&H Photo RUclips Channel and for your participation. We are very pleased that you derive value from and find our presentations useful and informative.
Great presentation B&H, thank you. I always enjoy Scott's presentations as he blends learning and humour a great combination. Glad to see he is a Fender player.
Hi Chris: They are "Layer" Blending Modes, so go to the Layers panel (in either program), and near the top of the panel you'll see a pop-up menu that says "Normal." Click and hold on that and all the Layer Blend modes will appear. They've been in Photoshop since version 3 (Not CS3, I mean Photoshop 3), so they're sure to be there. :-) Hope that helps, and thanks for watching my class. Cheers, -Scott
years later and it all still makes sense.. I had forgotten much of this learnt from scott kelby years ago. Camera Raw has moved on but still works exactly the same just more options..
Thank you all so much for watching the B&H Photo RUclips Channel and for your participation. We are very pleased that you derive value from and find our presentations useful and informative. On behalf of all of us at B&H Photo, please accept our sincere appreciation for your patronage. We look forward to earning your continued trust for many years to come!
I love that some of these photos are I've place I just returned from! (The MagLev station in Shanghai) Great tutorial! Thanks Scott! (I met you back in the 90s and you opened a new career for me. Thanks!)
I really enjoyed your top 10 video you did with B&H and it was great to see more from you with more time. It is great that you are helping me navigate these complex tools with some great examples! I really enjoyed it.
Scott I wanted to say that you were just so entertaining in the tutorial, I laughed my head off with you, it must be so much fun to go shooting with you. great job!!!! you inspired me on my photography journey.
TY Scott! On our photo walk in Edmonton I took fabulous shots of the city but when I got home I was so disappointed! I didn't realize the playback was in JPEG. This changes everything...well, almost. :)
Great presentation Scott! I bookmarked this presentation and see it everytime I forget something ;) But you have discussed the most common problems amateur photographers face. Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for sharing your techniques. It is a true pleasure to listen to great lecturers like Scott Kelby ! Too bad I am French, live over there and can not attend to all the "classes" given in B&H. Meanwhile : long life youtube channel :)
@LimitMediaCrewHD "Because it's Thanksgiving weekend here in the US, there are no Events Space events scheduled for Sunday, when the store is OPEN 10am-6pm. The store is closed on Saturdays. Thanks for watching."
Thanks Scott. Great tutorial. Off to shoot the fireworks at the London Eye New Years Eve and really looking forward to using some of the tips in my processing afterwards.
What a fantastic presentation. Brilliant. Thank you so much B&H. Can't wait for a second one if you are able to arrange it at some point. Love the music in the slideshow. What was it?
Where is the "Plus, you'll learn the easy way to shoot and process panoramas that work every time, some realistic HDR travel techniques, along with some clever ideas for showing your work when you return from your trip." that it say s in the description? Apart from that a great video once again. :)
That was soooooo good. Could have sat for hours listening to you .....many thanks...also i think i know the woman at the great wall of china....i have contacted her for her to watch....now if im right isn't that amazing....I will let you know.....if its her she comes from england and is my friends mum. x thanks again x
outstanding thank you so much for this....scott kelby you are a rockstar...can we have another tutorial by him.....n yeah thank you for that advice on jpeg i agree :)
Very good presentation. It's always easier to learn something when you have fun. And man, I didn't just have fun... I laughed my *** off! Btw. His mimic keeps reminding me of Leonard Hofstadter from The Big Bang Theory. So. Thank you very much for uploading this.
Scott, I learned so much from this class. I have Photoshop CS5 and Elements 11. Were you using CS6? Cant find multiply or screen or any blending modes even in help.
Does anyone know ...can you bring out the detail of the sky, when the picture shows hazy, in Photoshop Elements? I love the fact that you can do it in Photoshop but I don't want to pay for the subscription. Thank you!
Say you'd set your focus, using an external flash would it be possible to capture a moving object with a ND filter. Example, you want the silky effect of water in a stream but you wanted a solidly focused person jumping over it. cheers
@Raj Singh Arora Thanks for watching. At this point we don't have specific plans for a second Scott Kelby tutorial, but please be assured that we will have him back at the Event Space at the first opportunity.
agree... but most of the other presenters B&H uses are good: Jeff and the guy from DxO and the one hosting the artsy lighting seminar and the one talking about night photo are very good too (well... actually i would say most of B&H's seminars on youtube are awesome except those few ones in which all the presenter was doing was to showoff how great his photo career WAS and how cool it is shooting film ONLY)
It's possible, but with a long exposure, you would have to decide when the flash fired. My thinking would be to fire it manually when your subject was in the spot you wanted. Cameras trip a flash at the beginning of the exposure and have the option to switch it to the end portion (2nd curtain) or at the middle. C h u c k askbh{at}bandh{dot}com
Shooting in .jpg throws away a lot of information. If you're serous about photography raw is the only way to shoot. Shooting in .jpg can never make as good photos as raw. The difference for you is that you need to know how to edit. l Dehaze will also darken the sky. So will the polariser app in many programs. l Your blurs are half of the Orton effect.
I learn so much from his courses. I hope B&H keep bringing him back.
I have watched many videos by Scott Kelby. He never disappoints. You are simply world class. Many thanks.......

Extremely informative, Scott is so honest and helpful. Can't thank you enough for uploading this!
I couldn't agree more. Not a lot of pros show their raw-out of camera files to such a huge audience.
thanks Scott Kelby and B&H for this amazing video.
TY Scott! On our photo walk in Edmonton I took fabulous shots of the city but when I got home I was so disappointed! I didn't realize the playback was in JPEG. This changes everything...well, almost. :)

Wonderful presentation by Scott.
Could have watched for hours, Thank you so much for the video.
Watching this on RUclips... from Sydney 10,000 miles away.
That part about the contrast around 55:00, that looks similar to high pass sharpening.
Where is the "Plus, you'll learn the easy way to shoot and process panoramas that work every time, some realistic HDR travel techniques, along with some clever ideas for showing your work when you return from your trip." that it say
