My only regret is never being able to see Ronnie in person during his prime. The pictures and videos are all astonishing, I'm sure in person it must have been mind bending. Truly the King.
I have this same feeling and I feel miserable because of it. I hope someday in a parallel universe or where we can exceed the speed of light and time travel one day to go back to 1998 and meet Ronnie Coleman. I was only 7 and we were so poor, no money, no information sources about the sport of bodybuilding so I had to wait until 2008 (17yo) to see/hear about him for the first time.
Met him in 2010 at the Arnold classic ohio, wasn’t his prime but let me just say he looked exactly like he did in videos in person. One of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet
I was at the Mr.O in 98 when Ronnie won the first time. He was unbelievable. Then I met him 2 times shortly after that at the opening of 2 nutrition stores. Got his autograph. You wanna be 50 and able to walk.
Everybody want to keep walking so nobody want to lift heavy ass weight.
@@johnwest5458 there is nothing wrong lifting heavy weights. How u do it and when u do it is what matters. He lifted heavyweights even when he is on low calories. Dorian said that's what caused so many injuries to Ronnie.

It's funny how he always seems to be in a good mood 😆

He sacrificed his health to achieve the ultimate masculine physique. It's impressive and sad at the same time.
Ronnie Coleman's training sessions are so old school, they are like Arnold's in Pumping Iron. No designer outfits, no shiny equipment, no product placement, just a grimy old gym full of ugly-assed highly functional equipment. Fantastic! Unfortunately gyms like that are getting harder to find.

Its very rare you get someone with incredible genetics like flex wheeler, with an intense work rate like johnnie jackson and branch warren. But when you do, you get ronnie coleman.
Well said my man . 💪🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
The amount of volume he does at the heavy weights is absolutely insane. When he talks about doing 315 for 12 reps, his one rep max would be in the 500 lbs+ range. He never really focused on powerlifting but if he did during his prime, he would have easily been one of the best power lifters of all time. Being superlean and the high volume training didn't allow him to max his strength.
do you know if there are any nudes of ronnie on the internet ?
He was a powerlifter at one point but I say it's good that he didn't focus on that. Bodybuilding further increased his back injuries from playing sports earlier in his life imagine what powerlifting would've done to him by now
315 for 12 does NOT put you in the 500+ range. I hit 315 for 15 and my 1 rm is just over 425
@@kyleviau6720 Yeah don't have his genetics
Ronnie is amazing! So kind, so cheerful, so strong and so positive! No matter if he is on the highest point or on crutches! From powerlifting he switched to bodybuilding and reached the highest rank through years of heavy work, staying for a long time out of top six! Amazing kindness and persistence!
Working as police officer + 1 hour of cardio + weight training. Can't imagine how much calories is burning moving all day so much muscles.. Really funny how people talk nonsense how could he eat barbecue sauce with his chicken before the contest and still get in crazy shape LOL.. Move 300lb of muscles all day and you can eat as much sauce as you want..
He overdieted and it wasnt until 2003 that Chad and he agreed and Ronnie basically went onstage just how you see him here in this video. So when watching if you ask yourself howcome Ronnie didnt just walk onstage looking exactly like that??? He did! In 2003
Worth mentioning this video only shows half his workouts his other chest workout is flat incline decline barbell press his other back workout was pulldowns dumbbell pullovers and behind the neck pulldowns his other leg workout was back squats leg press hamstrings

Ronnie Coleman had the hardest work ethic of any bodybuilder to ever compete. It's not even debatable
Dorian Yates worked harder (worse genetics)...check-out the blood and guts video of his (on RUclips)
@@clerkenwellman7482 lol nope. Dorian is a close second, though. I meant everything in life, not just the gym. And there genetics were about equal. They both trained equally as hard, and both dedicated there life to the sport. But IMO work ethic and gym intensity are two different things. Anyone stepping on stage, that has the discipline and work ethic to compete in bodybuilding? They are all following in the footsteps of these legends like Ronnie, Arnold, Dorian, and Jay. These are the guys that made the sport what it is today. But above all Ronnie worked harder, won more Olympia titles, and was more disciplined in order to achieve this. Genetics only play one factor. If anything Ronnie can look back and know he was the best. In second I have Dorian, then Jay Cutler and Arnold all had very hard work ethics and most likely were handed nothing in life
@@jayalan9165 the thing with Ronnie is, he had a degree in Accountancy and a decent job as a police officer so had these to fall back on.
Dorian had very little growing up and bodybuilding was really his only choice. He really had tunnel vision and did virtually nothing else than have BB as a goal

@@clerkenwellman7482 agreed mate. Nice for keeping it classy Dorian and Ronnie are very close for the best ever.
