      Exactly. I mean, I like that writers try to be realistic sometimes so viewers can relate, however, I think they take it too far at times. I'd prefer if they stuck to the feel good emotions. It's supposed to be entertainment after all. The end was too rushed and unsatisfying for such an intense love story. Viewers are trying to escape into this fantasy, all writers need to do is make it realistic enough ONLY for viewers to relate and nothing more. We don't actually want a realistic ending. A happily ever after ending is what viewers sign up for.

      The facial expression of the actor, at this moment, conveys several emotions, shock, rage, contempt, and pain together.
      This phenomenon has an official name: GHOSTING.
      For me, as a man, this part of the series was the most powerful and breaking. They showed him in surprise that he had been standing there for several minutes and had seen everything. I felt what the hero character felt. And tears began to accumulate in my eyes because again, this is a phenomenon that also occurs in reality.
      The series and the episodes are nice and long and then boom. The last two chapters create the effect that we have in our lives, that experiences are accumulated for a lifetime. The experiences are also physically linked to places that make flashbacks from the past.
      The viewer feels shocked. After everything, they went through together - ignoring. Shame she probably feels.
      Everything he did for her, she is unable to turn to him first. He took the 1st step when he came back and went to the wedding and everyone knows why.
      not to bless her brother.
      She as a woman did not take the logical step for a relationship and that is to follow him.
      When he came down the stairs he watched for a second and then continued.
      before they broke up. He hugged her and there was a moment when he lost control and didn't let her finish the hug. He gave her a jewel as a sign that he was serious and would take care of the family unit. She discovered that she had a strong ego (she grew up)
      He radiated weakness. Some women like to put up with bad men or choose comfort without love.
      It happened to me too. It happens all around good men every day.
      Unlike the happy ending in the movie. In reality, everything would have ended at the stairs. As the hero said - it won't happen to me again.
      As the heroine said - it's probably not fate. People separate and no one dies from it like in statements. Everyone lives on. (Not exactly, statistically, men commit suicide much, much more often on romantic grounds).
      I am an example. Something is dead inside me. I read about it and learned a lot. The magic I thought was in life is dead. It gets worse as humanity evolves.
      It's nice that in the movies it exists and is presented really realistically.

But the pain Hae-In portrayed may have given him that Drama Award, so that's consolation. Still, we want Junhee treated better ! Actually the ending was too abrupt !

    Okay, so maybe he really wants to go to the US, JA doesn't want to. What's the problem with that? Why do you need to break up? There's facebook and Skype. Kdramas doesn't like long distance relationship? Then JA can wait for JH to comeback. It can work guys. Look at Beenzino and his gf. He's serving in the army while she's staying in LA for her work but they're still pretty much in love. Why can't JA and JH do that?

    • @ellieappa
      @ellieappa 6 лет назад +4

      that makes too much sense. the writer just wants to kill all our hopes and dreams... JA doesn't love JH as much as JH loves JA. ...not even close... JH is all in ... JA said it from her own mouth that she won't go all in on JH. Although this is not surprising many episodes ago JA was talking to Geum "Dae-ri" that she wasn't certain about their relationship...

    • @violet5114
      @violet5114 6 лет назад +6

      Jae Lim Yeah, i think so too. I mean, if you love the person, you would do anything. She just kinda used him for her "growth and maturity". Fine she doesn't want ro go to US with him but she can have vacations to visit him there or he can have vacation to visit her. Just like the song get here... You can jump on speedy colt, cross the border in thr blaze of hope. I don't care how you get here just get here of you can. 😂😂😂

    • @amisha25211
      @amisha25211 4 года назад +2

      I know right💛 yeah that's exactly what I felt about the series and her character. The writers really messed up her character and character development and made it so inconsistent and unsure. By the end of it I concluded she just didn't deserve Jun Hui who was the best bf imo..so compassionate, loving, understanding and caring and considerate and what not. He showered her with so much love and affection and cared for her with so much deep intensity and did so much for her and even suffered in the end but she barely ever could reciprocate. Also it didn't help that she would lie to him so much and then when he would confront her she would totally gaslight him and turn the situation over to get the upper hand and be all defensive when she needed to apologize. Jun Hui did not wanna meet his estranged father and very understandably so...even if she had good intentions she had no right to cross his personal boundaries to meddle in such a deeply painful subject to him..so she was the one who was so immature to do such a hurtful mistake and then she mocked Jun Hui for being childish which was purely insensitive and immature/inconsiderate on her part. Her trying to justify her actions and making Jun Hui look bad for being hurt by her stupid mistakes was so obnoxious to me uggh. And then we learn that she met his father only for passing on gifts from him to his children which was a lie..wasn't it? Because earlier we see her promising his father that she would tell him bout how his Jun Hui and his sister were doing...so there it is the bad writing and character development! Jin a and Jun Hui's relationship was filled with lies and misunderstandings which could have easily been prevented. Also the mom was abusive af! I'm Indian and hence could see why she was being the way she was but she surely crossed the line always and was a major catalyst in breaking them apart. As an Indian woman, I very well know firsthand how abuse from parents is given the name of responsibility and discipline for the children's own good which is fuckin bullshit and I just felt like shaking up the mother and telling her it's her life and she is old enough to do whatever tf she wants! Being a parent does not give you the right to abuse, destroy and exploit another human's happiness even if that's your own kid. They are an individual entity and asians must understand the concept of personal boundaries!!!!The father should have taken a more stronger stand and should have stopped the mom early on ...also Jin a should have been more assertive with her mom. Lastly if Jin a really loved Jun Hui..she should have gone to him and hugged him and said she was sorry. The least she could have done is said sorry. Both made mistakes but Jin a never realised them whereas Jun Hui said sorry till the last minute and we got an abrupt ending not knowing if the two would introspect and analyse their past mistakes and work on their relationship🤷‍♀. But Son Ye Jin somehow made Jin A bearable and convincing and even made me feel for all her troubles...i felt like crying when her sexual exploiters schemed against her and she hit rockbottom and was burnout throughout so many times because that's very much how society treats women espcially Asian societies where families try to control your decisions even once you're an adult well over 30. Jun Hui was the star for me. I wonder if guys like him even exist irl. Jung Haein did complete justice to his role and I felt like both him and the character were the same. Despite all it's flaws I really liked the show due to it's heartwrenching emotional impact and the chemistry between the leads..such pure romance💛

      It's nice that in the movies it exists and is presented really realistically.

    people need to calm down before taking JH's side. In another scene after they met at the wedding, JH drank with his buddy in his apartment. His friend mentioned that he dated girls when he was in the US. So both of them date someone else, not just JA. Also, don't forget that he requested to be transferred to the US branch without consulting with JA first. A normal person with a stable job can't just quit and move to another country. It's not that easy. I'm not taking side here. I love both characters. Just saying both of them make mistakes, and that's normal. Every couple makes mistake. That's why this drama is so good. It reflects the reality.

      Ah no...JA kept making them. Remember JH requested the transfer to get her away from all the madness surrounding her and she was not fully communicating with him all the issues relating to the sexual harassment issue. Also he was too respectful of her relationship with her parents to make that the sole reason for wanting her to escape with him. I don't think it mattered where they went he just wanted to protect her. The bottom line is he loved her more than she loved him at that moment and it took a few more shitty relationships after he left for her to realize she had a gem after all. I was so glad that ep 15 revealed after she turned him down he refused to have anything to do with her. So her meltdown happened before he left for the US.

      @@amisha25211 You summed it up perfectly. Abuse is abuse no matter who dishes it out. Most parents play the good cop bad cop role at some point but JA's father was a total disappointment letting his insane wife treat their only daughter that way. The writers once again made his character all over the place. First he seemed to be reasonable when she finally confessed to him about the relationship between her and JH but then it is as if he became a different person. I still get mad all over again whenever RUclips sends me clips of this drama. 😡. Definitely not one I would rewatch. Thank God Son Ye Jin (JA) did CLOY after so I could see her in a different light. Have you seen "One Spring Night?" I read somewhere that the Writers/Directors are the same. So maybe this is their way of redeeming themselves after the fallout with this. Almost the entire cast is the same. JA's mom has a completely different role and is a lot more likeable and normal as a human being/mother. I had a few minor problems with the female lead too but only because there were moments where the writing seemed unsure of where to take her character. I will be interested to know what you think.

Maybe it's just because I've never watched such a heartflutteringly pure and cute pair with that heartwarming, raw and warm chemistry but I surely don't hate the show . Also I recall the episode where Jin a tells her father about JH and starts crying uncontrollably..I really found that whole scene so absurd and not making sense because she cried like she had murdered someone or was possibly have an emotional/mental breakdown due to childhood abuse and was having catharsis with her therapist. Maybe it was just all the problems in her life that made her cry so much but if it was her and jun hui dating..that felt absurd. But I still really like the series. The drama literaly said that all of those sweet talk, sweet love just immature phase in a relationship, that it didn't match with the reality. So don't love passionately, or you only have tear and heart broken waiting in front.

      @@amisha25211 totally disagree with you. Their breakup was because of JH and not JA. You say he's considerate of her but he wasn't when he decided about the U.S. trip without consulting her first. They should have talked about it first before he ever told his job. That would be considerate. As for the mother, that is a cultural thing though she takes it to the extreme. And as for the ending, nothing needs to be said about it. He knew he was wrong about the U.S. decision and leaving her. Like I already said he made that decision without her and then expected her to go along with it. So in the end he did the right thing and apologized for his mistake. No other discussion was needed after that. Just forgiveness from both as well as a lot of hugs, kisses and hand holding. That is romance. They both made mistakes and both learned from them. The most important thing was for them to be together forever and in that regards the ending was most satisfying... happy ending.

    I do not know the ending of this drama. I guess that at the end, they really love each other and they finally get together. However, just be fair to JA, 3 years is a long time for a 35 years old woman. She does not have so many 3 years in her single life. As a woman of that age, she could not wait for another "uncertain" 3 years. When she was in big trouble at work while her family against her dating of this younger man, what to do that HE has to go away for 3 years? Will he still love her after 3 years? Will he find another girl while he was in the USA? All these are questions in this 35 years woman's mind. With so much pressure from her own family, it is very possible that she will try to find another person that loves her and to marry her. I would not get mad at JA. This is reality. If they are meant to each other, they will end up with each other.

      And totally unnecessary! I can understand he needed to go to America to make more of himself and not be held back. I can even understand, even if it breaks my heart, that she wanted to learn to stand on her own two feet as a strong, independent woman in Korea. But is that really what happened? Judging on the glimpse we get of her new relationship, I'm not convinced. It's just a plot device to manipulate our emotions is what it feels like......

      I am a noona to my husband who is 4 years younger. We dated for over 10 years and will be married for 11 years. As long as 2 people love each other and make it work, age gaps is nothing. JH and JA are like Yin Yang. Opposites but are a perfect fit, just like my husband and I. We have alot of disagreements but we still balance our personalities out.

    • @despinasarra3101
      @despinasarra3101 6 лет назад +2

      ZephyrYT2009 i am so happy for you! I hope the two of you grow old together and have lots and lots of wonderful memories. My question was not a cynical one but rather a disappointing feeling for the story line. I have 2 couples in my acquaintance with 5 and 7 years gasp and despite the difficulties they are doing just fine. Is just as you said:"as long as we love each other.... "😊

    • @ZephyrYT2009
      @ZephyrYT2009 6 лет назад +2

      Despina Sarra I don’t think the message has anything to donwith age gap! It’s the “people around them that’s the problem”. Being too close like brother sister was one issue; and the other was the typical bad family background. If JA and JH were the same age or he was older than her, it wouldn’t matter. The fact that those issues is clouding over them is the main problem, NOT age.

    • @mariar9098
      @mariar9098 4 года назад +1

      I think the problem here is the fact that even though JA is older, JH is a lot more mature than she is. Also, he is more in love with her than she with him. He's willing to do everything for her, but she's not willing to give up everything for him. IMO, JH deserved someone better than JA. I'm so disappointed with the ending.

      @@CapriGJones yeah that's exactly what I felt about the series and her character.
She discovered that she had a strong ego (she grew up).
