I don't know about best band ever. Don't hink you could ever top Beattles, Zeppelin, or Floyd... But I just started listening to them about 4 or 5 months ago so about early summer 2022, And I can't listen to anything else yet. I had been looking for something new and hard-core for a while and couldn't find just the right fit until Gojira. Honestly... entire discography over and over for about 5 months now. Still f***in ROCKS! Right up there with fans Rush, Van Halen, Pantera, Iron Maiden and so on.
"I reserve myself the right to protect, I From intentions around, I see a thousand faces In no one but myself I trust I don't get love or care from this world of pain Made my skin turn to stone Bending under this load, I fall, and my skin is... EPIC \m/
These cameras were definitely not built to withstand the sheer power of this monstrous song. When that double bass kicks in, shit looks like it’s about to explode
gojira should do something like what a perfect circle has done where they play a show everyday, one day per album where they perform the songs chronologically that would be so badass. i love gojira if anyone has any information for me as how to get tickets to their next show i would really appreciate it i really want to see them before i die lol
No I fully agree. I just started listening to them and would love to see something Iike this come through Dallas live. I never even knew about them until a few months ago, and wow love to see something this powerful and raw.
So. Fucking. Good. I'm a slipknot fan. And when I first discovered gojira they were opening for slipknot at the iowa state fair. And I was wondering what slipknot was gonna do to follow up gojira. So good live
I got to see these guys open for Machine Head who opened for LoG in Tulsa, Cains's Ballroom, March, 2007. They were there, and I can't remember a fuckin thing about it.
@SenatorGrimshaw Acoustics have nothing to do with the guitar sound for the DVD. It has something to do with what it sounds like when you are there, but on the DVD its all about mic position, how it's mixed and the quality of speakers and how the amp tones are set up.
I like how they look like your average tech support guys and yet sound this fucking inhumanely massive. Hell, the section at 3:30 makes Cannibal Corpse sound like fancy restaurant music
this start is sooooo good. just some noises and preparation and then joe shouts something in french, probably HOW ARE YOU DOING, kinda doesnt even matter what, and then mario counts in and this evil lizard spawns from the metal sound of the guitars. seeing this makes me sorry i didnt discover gojira before 2010 to witness this live.
@Samm3x Dude , I was there and they were brutal, really good show and it was from 1:30 till 3:00 in the morning so with the green lights and the smoke and everything, they were awesome :) And Mario did a drum solo
Heh, the music is so good no one needs drugs for the enjoyment :D as someone said, this band don't do drugs nor alcohol, which is why they still kick ass after all these years. :)
dabam I'm sure they partake in some things here and there but they're not the drug guys. They're just out of the box type people and that's why what they present might seem so foreign
The little quiet guitar part at 2:08 and 2:21 reminds me of zos kia kultus behemoth times. I forgot which song, but I think I heard one that sounded exactly like that.
That bassist isn’t even on drugs and look how crazy he’s going he must really love this song
if only Jean had hair...
@@ObviouslyKieran back then he had, but what happened that he decided to change haircut?)
Crack
Shits probably mad fun to play
Frankly, that intro hits harder than most coke...
I always look forward to how hard Jean goes in this song
This might be the greatest band ever
Yes
I don't know about best band ever. Don't hink you could ever top Beattles, Zeppelin, or Floyd... Right up there with fans Rush, Van Halen, Pantera, Iron Maiden and so on.
Theyre up there for sure
Zep and Beatles are shite beyond shite
You know a band is great when they're better live than on record. ;)
SackBoy105 ->Gojira, Rammstein, System of a Down (back then, now is a little meh)
The bassist has gone crazy
I certainly hope so. It 's his job.
Now, imagine if they re-recorded the whole album.
nocturnalrectum I had that thought, but it would fuck up the feel of the whole thing, y'know?
The are re-issuing it.., Also, new album in spring 👹
There is no need to
That album has so much character and the sound quality is amazing
@@mattman1127 True. To be honest i think it has got the best mix compared to the other albums, especially drums.
I like how the bassist is loving every second of it.
The way he shifts to a different note with his voice when he says “under” at 3:40 gives me chills
Environmentalist death metal?! Epic...
Vsevolod Koudriavtsev you caught that huh?
Jean-Michael Labadie is a monster.
AsTheSeasonsGray Jean *Michael* .... Oh that's why he has those moves xD
Jean Michel
Its in his name. He's bad, Like in a good way
The most powerfull band in the fucking universe.
Munk-a-Dunk 100% agree... and nice profile pic :p
owenshire88 We have good taste XD
that we do hahaha
I'd say 1. Pantera 2. Machine Head 3. Gojira
I'd throw tool in there
"I reserve myself the right to protect, I
From intentions around,
I see a thousand faces
In no one but myself I trust
I don't get love or care from this world of pain
Made my skin turn to stone
Bending under this load, I fall, and my skin is...
My fall accelerates with the weight
Soon I'll be underworld
Surving radiations, not for long,
And I'm burning
Raging storm deep inside,
Unsuspected misery
Someone has betrayed my trust
Attempted suicide
My nerves tensed, hardened my skin becomes
But I give my horse it's head, I'll overcome
Come, meet, under my lizard skin
I research the way to cleave through the air
My attention span is too short
My envelope is too tight now
And my skin is..."
EPIC \m/
This song is a masterpiece
best rhythm section of any metal band today
Noah McCullough I agree but if you think about it it’s an rhythm section with a singer
The strength of Joe's vocals, specifically around 3:15 in this live version, wow, it's incredible and strong!
His vocals on Clone from this same festival are insaneeee
RAHRRAHR RAHR RAHRRAHRAHRRAHR... love that triplet riff.
I read this comment right as he did it lol
I'm learning French and rocking out to Gojira. This is super awesome.
Tu parles bien français maintenant non ? 😁
I think for me it's the drum work and the riffs but everyone's got big talent in this band.
These cameras were definitely not built to withstand the sheer power of this monstrous song. When that double bass kicks in, shit looks like it’s about to explode
Mario's gonna live till he's like 95 because of how fit he is now. Dude probably gonna have spinal issues but he'll be alive for A LONG time
MKRocker94 They're all pretty damn fit :) I know they eat well and barely drink.
MKRocker94 he headbangs like to kill himself 😅 Love this dude!!
joe duplantier is the greatest live vocalist ive ever heard. sounds exactly like he does in the studio
1:03 I like how chill Mario is while playing double bass that's insane enough to rip your heart out of your chest
I can physically feel the weight of this song through my speakers
01:34 heaviest headbang of the universe
OMG after being forced to listen to so much mainstream music this is like a breath of fresh air.
I love their stance at 1:18. Like they know how amazing they are and how epic the next 30 seconds of the audiences lives will be. ^_^
Sick, but they're mainly just making the weeeeerrr noise come out of the guitar by bringing it closer to the amp, called feedback
@@420crim3 it's not even Amp tho, it's monitor
So sick they opened with Lizard Skin!!! When the hell are they going back on tour!?!
best metal band from the last 6 or 7 years? of course: YES
that bassist is nuts!!!
coolest bassist onstage, he doesn't even need long hair to bang, he has enough bang factor in his whole body :)
One of the best thing i ever seen.
Crushing weight of a mountain, it is.
gojira should do something like what a perfect circle has done where they play a show everyday, one day per album where they perform the songs chronologically that would be so badass. i love gojira if anyone has any information for me as how to get tickets to their next show i would really appreciate it i really want to see them before i die lol
y890x i wish
This is why I love and enjoy both Gojira and Metal because of the energy and smile it puts on my face. Now this is a real live performance. ^^
dat riff
Absolutely merciless! \m/
Look how relaxed Mario is. He's running a marathon below and tapping out a groove up top in such a relaxed way. I love this band.
Gojira me fais a 34 ans le meme effet que Sepultura a mes 14 ans
Davy Andrasik tout pareil !!!
Comme toi!
" BonsoiiiIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIR !!! " haha
Jean Michel ... You sexy best!
This gojira needs to come back!
Don’t cry because it’s gone, smile because it happened😅
No I fully agree. I just started listening to them and would love to see something Iike this come through Dallas live. I never even knew about them until a few months ago, and wow love to see something this powerful and raw.
love how jean goes crazy!!!
I'm so glad, that i saw Gojira already live^^
F*ck me sideways that opening when the double bass kicks in gets me every-time!
Jesus christ this is beautiful
nothing compares
BRUTAL
#NathanExplosion
Absolutely fucking amazing.
This band is so bad ass, metal on!!
2:30 bass player -> on the right, got like 3 feet of air.
So. Fucking. Good. I'm a slipknot fan. And when I first discovered gojira they were opening for slipknot at the iowa state fair. And I was wondering what slipknot was gonna do to follow up gojira. So good live
So fucking pumped for this whole set
Fuck they were so good
such a neat performance!!! gotta love Gojira....
Labadie seems like child with his favourite gift at his birthday
This is absolutely fucking awesome.
Love and lizard skin have two of the very best openings in metal ever imo!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
i can't believe this played this song. I never seen it live!
Jean-michel is the reason I watch this video
Jean has breached containment
0:50 OLIVE OIL!!! (what is he really saying?)
On y va (Here we go)
mma0tomars Hahaha!
mma0tomars Bwahahahaha!
XD Oh, no, no, no !! ^^
Mario just chilling as he absolutely demolishes those drums 😂
I got to see these guys open for Machine Head who opened for LoG in Tulsa, Cains's Ballroom, March, 2007.
They were there, and I can't remember a fuckin thing about it.
3:29 COME!!!! MEEETTTTT !!! UNDER!!!!!! LOVE IT!
GOJIRA FTW!!!!BEST METAL BAND AT THE MOMENT

all his music it's EPIC
how the fuck does mario play this, Clone, Backbone, Indians, and A Sight to Behold all before THE ART OF DYING without fucking PASSING OUT!?!?!?!?!
I wish Jean-Michel won't hurt himself doing all that stuff of his on-stage. It's too awesome.
Des frissons à chaque fois que je vois ces images vers 00:51... c'est vraiment énorme, et le plan est superbe
I like how they look like your average tech support guys and yet sound this fucking inhumanely massive. Hell, the section at 3:30 makes Cannibal Corpse sound like fancy restaurant music
Yes because that is the MORBID ANGEL section mi amore
Holy shit this is fucking epic
Gojira is so fucking sic! \m/
Criss, le bassiste est vraiment dedans lol
this start is sooooo good. just some noises and preparation and then joe shouts something in french, probably HOW ARE YOU DOING, kinda doesnt even matter what, and then mario counts in and this evil lizard spawns from the metal sound of the guitars. seeing this makes me sorry i didnt discover gojira before 2010 to witness this live.
@12luiguti Agreed, its like they played every song at the Vieilles Charrues Festival better than the original studio version.
@VandalAir c'était en streaming sur livearte.fr. Il n'est probablement plus en ligne maintenant.
@Samm3x Dude , I was there and they were brutal, really good show and it was from 1:30 till 3:00 in the morning so with the green lights and the smoke and everything, they were awesome :) And Mario did a drum solo
Now thats how u start a gig!!!!!!!
le plus génial dans tout ça c'est franchement le public qui comprend pas ce qui lui arrive
@ 2.21 WTF, did the camera man fall into the moshpit?!?!?!
I hope you'll come back asap in Toulouse :D
Cocaine is a hell of a drug
+Diego Vercesi that's what people say. now, what does your comment have to do with this video?
Adrian Monzon
The bass player looks like he's high on it, not judging though
+Diego Vercesi They don't take drug. They are in shamanic trance :)
1:30
fucking awesome!
better than the studio version, waaaay better
Fucking amazing!!!
The little quiet guitar part at 2:08 and 2:21 reminds me of zos kia kultus behemoth times. I forgot which song, but I think I heard one that sounded exactly like that.
@Samm3x they may tune them down different to be on par with way of all flesh's tunings, so they don't have to switch guitars all the time.
This doesn't have as heavy sound as on the The Link DVD but they still kick ass!
I sense some Napalm Death influence in the riff around 2:06 :) fuckin love this band!
CRAZY
@Samm3x it's also a bigger venue. The acoustics are different.
@W1fox merci à toi ;).
@MetalMasterMind666 I bet it was! I wanna see them live too!
@sumero99 It's from their first album Terra Incognita.
song is so much better live
this version is pretty better than the link alive (:
UNA DE LAS MEJORES BANDAS DE METAL DE LA TIERRAAA!!!!!! OJALA ALGUN DIA VENGAN A COLOMBIAAAAAA!!!!! :S
Old Gojira was phuking wild
@MrSeptah Trop de puissance pour eux
