Thanks for posting this! I’ve somehow fallen down a rabbit hole of watching Erie PA videos recently. I haven’t lived in that area since I was 18 (which was ages and ages ago), but it was cool to see someone of the familiar landmarks: had a high school prom at the Avalon Hotel; went to some Seawolves ball games; performed at the Warner Theater many times (Nutcracker). I genuinely miss that place (or maybe just that simpler time 🤷♀️).
Just wondering what interesting cities you lived in? I lived in Seattle, Portland Oregon, San Francisco, San Diego, Sacramento and too briefly in New Orleans. Now I am back in my boring hometown of Wilmington Delaware.☹️☹️☹️👎
@@Mr.Howell78k Sounds like you’ve lived a lot of interesting places! Sorry that you are finding Wilmington boring, though. The most interesting city I’ve lived in is Washington DC, but every place I’ve lived (including my current area) has a special place in my heart. DC had so many great restaurants, museums, shopping, events … just so much to do. I guess you can get there pretty easily by train if you want!
I love Presque Isle and I like to go over to the mill Creek Mall area peach Street, etc. I love the at home store but of course my favorite is Presque Isle State Park
My first job was delivering furniture for Sol Masiroff at 14 th and State. He also sold tv’s and I watched the moon landing while carrying out a couch.
2:23 time for someone to cut the tall grass. 5:49 almost 6 minutes before we saw a human. (Is this normal or pandemic times?) So little traffic 🚦 they should go back to stop signs.
Thank u Stroll Cam for this nostalgic stroll around Erie. We really enjoyed seeing Erie and plan to visit friends there on West 7th between Chestnut & Walnut St.
Unfortunately Sherlocks is no more. Thanks for watching. I will try to get more streets in Erie. I also did Bayfront and West 8th videos if you have not seen.
@@StrollCam thank u for replying and telling me about your other videos and th at no more Sherlocks, unfortunately. A lot of great bands played there. One band I will never forget was "Kidder", named after the singer's cat. Guitarist played mean guitar and the rest of band was great as well. I talked with the guitarist who said he was 24, my age at the time, and had been playing for 12 years. I guess it helps to start young. His playing inspired me to get an electric, but I haven't had nearly the same results due to time constraints, responsibilities, lack of dicipline, lessons are expensive,etc..Be safe around there.
Mathin 3D, I used to rent a room for $30 a week above Di Vecchios pizza shop on the corner of 8th & Chestnut. Do u remember Mark DiVecchio? He was a nice guy to rent from. The pizza shop is long gone now and I don't even live in PA anymore, but I do have many nostalgic memories of living in Erie!
