Great video! I’m looking to dye my frames to a Tiffany blue. What dye do you recommend? And should I finish with clear coat?

Rit synthetic Kentucky sky blue is a nice light blue I’ve used. I’ve never clear coated but I don’t think it would hurt it, might help protect it.

    Temperature and amount of water?

Just need a pot with enough water to submerge the part your gonna dye. Bring the water to boiling and then turn off for 10 mins. Should be perfect temperature then. Add your dye (synthetic dye) and then dip your part until desired color is reached.

Those are jt proshield bottoms. Pretty easy to find, but I prefer them over the flex bottoms.

Is there a way I can like redo it and put it back to white, I made it all red now it’s a faded pink

Not really. You could try some hydrogen peroxide and strong UV rays to clean them and remove the dye. But you’ll need a really sunny few days in a row to submerge it in hydrogen peroxide in a glass bowl with sunshine to maybe get some of it off. Best thing to do is redye them a new color if they are faded. Easily could do red again and bring them back or go for a dark color like purple or black

And the peroxide and UV ray combo works good for stains, idk how well it would work at removing dye from plastic.

Do more dying videos preferable 2toneinh f8s

Takes a lot of hot glue to dye that on a f8. Last one I did took hours to remove the hot glue! So I stay away from those now…. Mine didn’t hold the dye very well and faded really quick.

What if I have black frames ? Same thing apply

Can’t go dark to light when dying. Since it’s black it can only be black. If it was a lighter color like pink or teal you could dye it something darker like purple. White is the best obviously.
