we unveil the journey of Irene Wabule Walimbwa, the Executive Director of A.W Bamboo Enterprise Mbale. Once a dedicated caterer, Irene left her profession to pioneer a groundbreaking bamboo(Maleewa) growing project on the borders of Mount Elgon National Park in Bududa District, Uganda, the first of its kind in the region. This groundbreaking initiative has not only transformed Irene's life but also empowered hundrends of farmers, providing them with sustainable livelihoods.
