  • Before I put the stock mufflers back on I wanted to hear it without them on and see what the sound and feel was like. Its pretty loud and obnoxious but if it was a Vette or similar it would be perfect

    Ecu tuning group tune and pulley. Exhaust and intake and 100 octane.

    Lol - i have an XF 3.0 litre and I wouldn't want an exhaust that loud. The XF isn't a sports car, but, more of a Grand Tourer that will take you on long journeys in comfort and speed. The original rear box is just right for the car - all that banging and popping f from the new back box makes it sound 'Down Market' like a boy racer with 'Go Faster Stripes'. Remember, it's a Jaaaaaaaaaag not a 'Cheapo 10 Bob jam jar'

    Do you feel a major difference when you put the car in Dynamic mode? Does it affect traction control? I've never tried it on my XFR lol

      Daniel Sadjadian yes, there is a mild difference and I use it often.

    How has the reliability been with your XFR? I'm considering making the move back to Jag from my M5. The M has been terrible with reliability and practically lives at the dealership. Not the case with my past 2 XJR's. I'm torn between the XFR and CTS-V. I'd prefer the Euro though and don't see R's on the daily like a do V's.

      Waterpump, supercharger torsion isolator, and oil starvation during hard acceleration are some of the major issues, these were more prevalent in the earlier model years. 2013+ XFR have a lot of these issues fixed.

    Does yours have alot of backfire i deleted the muflers on mine and every time i downshift it sounds like gun shots i dont know if this is normal or there is something wrong with my car.

      Ricardo Boumrad DJ it's normal, don't worry. Put a pair of bullet resonators in their place to reduce it

      I did muffler and resonator delete on my 2010 jag XFR and on downshifts she pops and such. It’s normal. Even at night my homie told me he seen light from my exhaust when I got down on it hard.

    You already said you are on a pulley and tune. What did you dyno on pump gas (91-93) with those mods?
    What other mods are available for this car?

      480hp464tq I think. I have the synopsis videoed on my page. This was on hot summer days with no cool down time (July)

    I've never used the paddles on my car so when do you recommend making upshifts?

      Ayy Vlogs my rule was to always shift when the gear number changed from white to yellow.

      None, the rear mufflers are slip on and I just removed them to hear the sound as many people do the same and just put tips on it.
