I would like to see the industry switch to using thru axles on the rear motor also. It would make it more friendly to upgrade the drive train according to today's standards. It would also help with alignment and ease of taking the wheel on/off. I know Grin makes thru axle compatible hub motors but we need a big manufacturer like bafang to do it to help costs.

Definitely agree the front rack on the frame is trippy but you get used to it and it is definitely better than it moving with the front wheel. In case that was alarming for anyone.

I like the handle bars and torque sensor. Should have tested the the front basket. I use mine for shopping and picnics, etc. Just toss a bag or pack in the front rack and bungee it in with a cargo net.

Couldn't be more of a production line if they tried, eh? Not sure how I'd feel getting a bike packed like that, but I've heard it's a decent e-bike for the price. The torque sensor seems powerful and good at high speed. The non-step-through version is a lot nicer, though-a totally different bike. Those bars have too much backsweep for me, which means less control.

Monthly fee on gps? Thats included? Not fan of the handle bars but personal preference. The steep hill you had looked like it struggled. Is that normal for all similair ebikes? The front rack not moving is odd. If you add alot of items the handle bar can turn into it. Kind of strange.😅

Hi, Im looking for an electric bike that i could get 50 miles on the motor only. At the same time, I do enjoy pedaling and could use the exercise but I want to ride it in the New York State Finger Lakes region. I have tried a friends Letric bike ( 20 inch tires) and it seemed too small. I'm six feet tall and pedaling was not comfortable.
Any suggestions you have are appreciated,
    Dave

I like your work except when your blasting through STOP signs and blasting too close to people, lane splitting is optional. If your ever in an accident where the other party is at fault you may find it difficult to convince a jury or judge that you have no culpability, just a heads up from grandpa.

It’s heavy but typical of this style of ebike, especially with a larger capacity battery.
A lot of people like it, and they’re great for riding across loose sand, thick snow or rough pavement, but I prefer lighter ebikes with slimmer tires (2.2-3in) and nimbler handling. Still, enjoying the review!

That sounds entirely normal for a 48v 20ah ebike like this. I prefer heavier bike I feel more planted on the road and have more confidence overall. Like on my non ebike gusts of wind absolutely throw me all over the road but with the ebike weighing. My custom built 52v 1500w is about 60 lbs but it's a hard tail so no weighty suspension apart from the Front fork, which is totally fine for street riding.

😧This bike REEKS of Canadian or EU-control: from European-uncomfortable-tight-butt design, to Globalist-tracking you, to some state-sponsored hacker demanding Ransom-Ebike-ware so you won't be stranded! They may as well permanently pasted the U.S. Constitution on it upside down. 😠 Thank you for the review--we will make a note to look for this abandoned model on roads to salvage parts. 😉

I sent Freedare $1299 for the Saiga bike but have not received any notification for tracking or eta. I have emailed numerous times with no response even though they say will respond in two days. I’m asking for a status report. Do you have any contact information to get them to respond and deliver the bike I have paid them for. David Mitchell
