actually not a bad advice. in csgo full screen optimisation would make the game weird and sluggish but on a new engine like s2 it makes sense that this feature is compatible with cs2
bruh lol, so im gonna step in and explain. This setting was bad on initial release with windows 10, by windows 10 21h2 it was recommended NOT to turn this off as there was no longer benefits to turning it off and it would do the opposite by making your latency MUCH worst, as time went on windows improved the feature more and now in windows 11 you basically shoot yourself in the foot by disabling it. This has nothing to do with the game engine or the game itself, what it does is create a fullscreen mode that you can enjoy the benefits of being real fullscreen (windows 8 and below) and not taking 17 years to tab in and out (like windowed mode) without having to choose windowed mode. BUT, disabling it would cause issues with other things in windows that rely on it to run your game properly adding latency and making your game feel like shit. The placebo was strong with turning it off since w10 21h2 came out
it really helped me, i used a very very long time, and them i tryed this, and it felt ALOT smooth, not just this i disable but the dpi thingh too, that is above those boxes, and there we are, i was playing alot of this shit fps lagged, its so fucking strange that it really changed, like i play on 60hz for years and until now im here, so to me changed

Back during my 1.6 competetive times i used tin xp, restarted the router before matches and even deleted the desktop background to save performance. CAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW!
Full screen optimiser is for alt tabbing. It does nothing for the actual application. It’s basically a 50/50 merge of full screen and borderless window.
Its prob a countereffect, that triggers a routine because the settings are not adaptable when the game is open but it causes the game to acess a high state mb even a kernel mode file routine
Full screen optimizations are tweaks by Windows that let you alt tab smoothly from a Fullscreen game. It is known to cause small performance issues, if you have a low end PC this is probably one of the things that will genuinely help

This is straight bs. Also, borderless mode is technically classified as Windowed by the OS, so you can just play on Borderless mode and Windows won’t optimize for true fullscreen mode, which btw, is only a thing if you have multi plane overlay enabled in registry editor
To all who don't know about input latency, this is one of the settings that utilizes a method to display the image to your monitor. The implementation is not as optimized and is suppose to be a route, to take, in making fullscreen exclusive games run in windowed mode. This route creates excess overhead, upping the latency from rendered image to the final display. Disabling this technique takes away the overhead and you're left with a more responsive game. That being said, all inputs should be raw, frames uncapped (unless your frames cant hit your monitors refresh rate, turn on vsync in nvcp with gsync enabled, if you have that), game in fullscreen exclusive, and all settings turned down to lessen the load and force first frames to the display as quick as possible. If you dont know something look it up, stop this immature denial train you idiots always force edit: corrections
