I love the contrast between Draco's shirt being tucked in and Harry's not, it's just so in character for them and such a good little detail
When Draco was all like, "Didn't your father ever...", all I could imagine was Draco remembering his father telling him to fix HIS tie and calling HIM a slob and HIM wear his tie so tight he could barley breath. Draco knows he hasn't got a good father and it's like he realized it was better then not having a father at all.
Edit: For the people thinking that I missed the 'Draco remembered Harry's dad was dead part...did my read my whole comment? 'it's like he realized it was better then not having a father at all.' This is clearly alludes to that. Draco realised that having crap dad is better than not having anyone at all (like Harry). I dunno how so many of you missed that part...smh

I mean I understand that we have the worst reputation, but that doesn’t mean everyone is the whole “only purebloods should learn magic” ect ect bull crap, I know a few Slytherins that are the most sweetest people ever, and I know a few people from the other houses (namely one of my Hufflepuff friends) who actually follow the death eater but does it really matter? We are all one big fandom

I can just imagine Draco going back to the Slytherin Common Room and curling up in the corner to cry.
I kind of imagine a lot of the younger Slytherins doing that. Like the 1-3 years. Because they just want to be liked and everyone else just automatically makes these assumptions about them.
Then the older ones start becoming more isolated and harsh. Like 4-7 year is when Wizards generally start deciding what they want to be and the Slytherins are just like, "Well you all expect me to be evil and hate everyone, so why try to be anything else?" And they become like the Wizarding equivalent to politicians.

I find that so true. Before I knew of the world of Harry Potter, I always wondered why people had a natural knack of not getting along with me. After I took the Pottermore test when I discovered Harry Potter, and I got Slytherin, I sort of had a more genuine understanding, and I started relating to other Slytherins. This was in fifth grade, when I was becoming more isolated, but at that point, I didn’t really care.
Now four years later, in Grade 9, I’m fortunate to have met other Slytherins that I sit with at lunch, because there aren’t any in my home room.

Oh man. It really hit me in the feels when Draco was like "Didn't your father ever--" and he actually trailed off, deciding not to finish the sentence for obvious reasons even though that's something that Harry would probably expect from Draco.
And Harry talking about just how much he saw that Slytherin students were really isolated. So, it'd be no wonder that Draco is the way he is, not really good at expressing his feelings or talking to people. Not to mention the way Draco's parents raised him.

before when i was still becoming a fan of harry potter. i hated slytherins and draco because i thought of slytherins as cruel, rude and selfish people. but now that i'm a true fan of harry potter i realized that being a slytherin doesn't make you evil it's just who you are.
I just found Draco annoying, sure I've wanted to punch him before but not as much as others. I honestly wanted to be in Slytherin, but I kept on getting Gryffindor 3:4 times, but yeah I was one of the few people who never actually hated Slytherin.

when they were explaining the experience they had, I could truly relate because when I ask my friends what house they are in, none of them say Slytherin and when I say I'm a Slytherin the say you're in the dark lord's house? And it's really hard for Slytherins to make friends outside of their house because everyone thinks they're all horrible or something and this hit me right in the feels for just that reason.

I love this video! This video is both sad and amazing like it's kinda the perfect example of what people do they look at you and judge from your clothing or your looks instead of judging you as a person, personally I wear my elf ears and crazy makeup and crazy outfits and I'm getting my robes soon and walk around in them to do I get looks yeah people look at me like I'm a bad example for their kids or something but personally I am slytherin and I am a horse rider and I'm not like everyone else and that's ok with me. I think the important thing is to never judge a person from their looks cause you never know what a Person can be under their skin

It really hit me when Harry was realizing how isolated Slytherins are... And when Draco realized that other houses had support. I feel like Draco wouldn't have noticed the lack of support during his early years because his home life was similar, so it would have been really different for people to say hi to him and treat him like a person. I also can imagine Draco's father yelling at him for an untucked shirt or an incorrectly-tied or too-loose tie, or for wearing red. On the other hand, no one cared about Harry, so he never bothered tucking in his shirt or learning to tie a tie properly because he felt like he didn't matter to anyone, so who would care how he looked?
