My understanding of why the anomaly chasing you is slowed by the cages is because of the thing *inside* the cage, the tormented soul that it rips apart before continuing to chase you.
11:33 As you've pointed out it seems like there used to be some mechanic around cigarettes that was apparently scrapped before release. That is 100% an old school cigarette vending machine that was retextured as a candy vending machine.
It makes little sense since it's going to pass through the bodies whether you knock them over or not, and since it clips through walls you don't know if it'll even touch the bodies to begin with. Everything screams "this was planned to be an NPC that chased you on foot" because that's the basis of those kinds of mechanics.
@@KeithBallardA oh it’s absolutely poorly planned out and/or planned to be something else. This game is kind of awful but I’m enjoying your play through of it.
Ketchup is a bit of an odd one. Food service places go through it fast enough that they don't need to keep it in the fridge. However at home you should put it in the fridge.
21:50 - not really; you could see it in the reflection, so it seems like the intention is that the puzzle was that you were supposed to notice something in the mirror that was invisible in the room, and use that to figure out what to do.
1:47:23 - it switched back before; it was only for a few seconds, but I caught it a minute or two ago switched to a tyre, and then back to a corpse when it dipped out of frame.
8:11 - Host 1: “You’re listening to Williamn FM.” Host 2: “I will never not be impressed how you’re able to pronounce that silent N every time; I keep calling this station William FM.”
1:40:00 i turn my phone flashlight on and stick it in my shirt pocket to get a similar effect as the flashlights that are made to sit in pockets ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
1:04:25 - technically, your phone would probably count as one of those. Sure that’s not its primary purpose, but it does fit in your chest pocket and is vaguely the same size/shape. 🤔

20:13 The way forward was through a door that said "Will open only in case of fire".
Oh good you got the reason for arrest. I was worried the credits wud role and you were still gonna be like "but what was he arrested for?"

I got the impression that throwing the caged bodies down would slow down the pursuer, because it would slow down to consume the bodies…

You do own a pistol now and you have ammo for it.

We here appreciate Door Kickers. Welcome to the club Murphy. Got a long way to go to get to Jet's levels, but you have potential.

The main character sounds like owen wilson if he was trying to do a grizzled voice.
1:37:03 - err, kid, if you think he’s the bogeyman, why aren’t you reciting the rhyme to scare him off right now? 🤨
