    This is a funny clip from a brilliant show. It is a great parody of dysfunctional organizations, sort of like "The Office" but funny and decades earlier. The Haney, Kimball, Ziffle characters were great comedians to the well played Oliver, Drucker, Arnold straight men.

      I know The Office got good reviews, but it is awful. TV choices during its run must have been few and far between.

      @@mas5867 The brilliance of "The Office" is instead of being funny like a normal comedy it is punishment and the joke is on the viewer for watching. Turns out unlike us, a lot people enjoy the punishment including my wife. It has to be challenging to make a product so bad it causes people like it.

    That Hank Kimball was a character, well, maybe not a character, But I would say he was funny,wait a minute, I just did say that.
    All I know is that he really knew how to make me laugh. Well, thats not ALL I know.

    I used to count how many times Oliver was interrupted in an episode. It was 6 times in this 3 minute clip. That's a pretty good pace.

      I honestly think this was some of the truly funniest dialogue ever written for TV. It rivals some of those classic movie routines by people like Abbott and Costello.

    On the railroad, three "bwoops" meant "When standing, back up. When running, stop at next passenger station." Of course, the C&FW crews running the Cannonball probably never actually passed a Rules Examination.

      I worked for the railroad as a freight train conductor for several years...and I hated the yearly rules examinations we had to take, lol.

    Uncle Joe Carson from the shady rest hotel was the best fire chief ! Pickslee can't compare with hooterville ! ! Like mount pilot and mayberry . You just can't beat small town living, right Oliver ?

      Yeah, there was a range for sure. Oh, if they would have had time to redo some of the scenes before airing. At least half of Kimball's appearances hurt the show.

      ​@@mas5867I watched it when it first aired - and multiple times since. Green Acres and the Addams Family (original series) are my two favorite sitcoms and the only ones I actually go back to on occasion. The absurdist writing is wonderful. I'll agree that not all the Green Acres writing succeeded, but when it did it was second to none.
