      Hi 😊👍 it would give rapid acceleration,I've tried recently twin of this setup in Zonda and it was really quick but heat built up after a few mins of thrashing ,I swapped motors to SSS 3674 2075kv and not that quick but with bigger props being good so I'd go for SSS 3674 2075kv with a Octura m645 orX645 you'd be more than happy or use SSS 4082 2000kv motor

    Hey Paul are these TFL pursuits fibreglass ?

    • @paulcooper7162
      @paulcooper7162  4 года назад

      Hi James yes very lightweight fiberglass .most faster Pursuits need the inside rear reinforced as they crack just above the rudder .Amazing looking boat to own also tape doesn't rip the top coat off like it does with Zonda. Also can clean the hull with metholated spirits and it doesn't eat it like it does Vector SR80 Pro

      You need to know what brand of motors are safe to use with +2000kv on 6s. Most i mean almost 75% are just not capable of more then 2 minutes..but there are the others that can go all day long without a sweat...

    • @jamesatkinson7517
      @jamesatkinson7517 4 года назад +1

      targetingxmod, yes but this is not just 2000kv it’s 2600kv but I would be interested in your ideas on what are good brands ??? I know of Steve Neu and Lehrer are brilliant but who could afford those.I have a TP 4060 it handles over 200 amps continuous but after I bought it when I received it I learned it wasn’t 40mm x 60 mm it is 40 x 97 mm long so it’s a heavy brute. I just bought a HET typhoon because there is a bloke in the USA running one in a Taipan from Paul Osmond (here in Australia) running 4 s at 68 mph and I have the same size Taipan so I bought the same 4069 2250kv HET but It’s so slow I’ve tried a few different C rated batteries and different capacities and I’ve tried several props. Still slow I am tempted to try 5 S to get speed. I am building a rigger at the moment for that monster TP motor it’s 890 mm long carbon fibre to keep it light. Here’s hoping. I had some speed with a 1410 Steve neu 1500 KV on 6 s but to get speed in the taipan I had to run a 5214 Octura and 240 amp esc but still only 110 km/h and very short run time.I have a baby 26 inch TFL arrow that does 60 mph about 97 km/h I had to remake different sponsons like KEPS style to get it to stop flying it’s a cheap SSS 2968 (I think,)it’s 3300kv running a 3816 CNC alloy prop with a wire drive and a gens ace 3300 mah 45 C Lipo it revs it’s head off but Paul seams to get this sort of speed or more with monos and KV and volts no one I see gets away with. So any info you want to share would add to my knowledge I would try anything if it makes sense to me but then again nothing Paul is doing makes sense but man the speed he gets is mad.

    • @russsmith9042
      @russsmith9042 Год назад

      Yeah TP they size there links of their motors different than their numbers on it. It’ll make any sense but that’s what they do. I’m running a TP 3640 which is actually 74 mm long on my TFL pursuit for the fly color 150, 2200 KV with a 42 mm prop at 1.4 pitch and I’m still running hot as hell dial pick ups. runs a little wet but damn I keep melting. The solder connections between the motor to the ESC. Running 6mm bullets as well how do you get that damn coating off the wires of the TP motor so you can solder to them they say a Bayer aspirin? Running a Zeee battery 6S 120 C forgot to add that park.
