Emotion, love, she puts herself in the place of a person desperately in love, wanting her love back but losing it. She is not only a singer but a vocal actress.Totally convincing in this song.

I agree! The older she gets, the better she seems to get! I only recently became a fan when I realised how may songs that she sang were hits that I knew but took for granted. Not anymore though! My favourite song of hers is Breathe Again. It's stuck on my mind!
